But unlike gold, you won’t find something this glittery – although not everything that glitters is it – in the ground, but rather in the digital files of my very device, which is itself “grounded”, but when I listen I feel as high as a kite! And the kite, of course, my dear friends, is as golden as the podcast itself, and the wonderful friends I’ve made listening to it – that’s right, I’m talking about you.” But that wouldn’t fit on a t-shirt, so they don’t.

I used to work at University of Houston and Tillman Fertitta is/was on the Board. He came to campus once via helicopter, which he landed right in front of the administration building. I thought he lived in the city so unclear where he flew the chopper from, or why. Later he signed copies of his book in the student bookstore. Anyway, fuck that guy.

JF, if you’re waiting for the Forrest Gump sequel I suggest you tide yourself over by listening to the 372 Pages We’ll Never Get Back reading of Gump & Co., the sequel novel written by the guy who wrote the novel the movie is based on but written after the movie came out so he gets his digs in on Tom Hanks and Hollyweird in general because he was extremely aggrieved for some reason
The novel actually has Forrest Gump punching out Tom Hanks

I too went to a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant years ago and what I found most shocking was the lack of a comical amount of shrimp offerings on the menu. There were like 4 shrimp items on the menu, none of which were outlandish in the least. Sad!
