Simsco Instant Lunchroom
No matter where you are, or what you do, you need to eat. Simsco, a commercial kitchen supply giant, has developed this automatically staffing cafeteria line to solve that problem.
Put this cafeteria station on nearly any lot (hidden lots excluded for the time being) and a cafeteria server will show up three times per day to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. No more shall University students be the only Sims privileged enough to dine on soggy BLTs out of a steam table!
The Instant Lunchroom is a handy way to keep Sims well fed while they engage in their go-go lifestyles of cross-stitch, diving for treasure in the islands, singing karaoke, and idk, probably painting or something. Only from Simsco!
I really like putting a cafeteria station on various types of commercial lots. Museums, for example. I've never been to a museum that didn't have a cafeteria somewhere. Retail lots, from big department stores to little bodegas, are also great places to have a place to eat. It's perfect on Community Lot venues.
I didn't want to have to 'Hire a Vendor' every time. I wanted the server to show up automatically, like they do in the Student Commons in Britechester. So I came up with this mod.
If you want to put a lunchroom in your house, be my guest. Who am I to stop you? The screenshot above is from a bodega on the ground floor of residential apartment building lot.
Anyway, I've found it to be a versatile Sim appliance, and am happy to share it with you.
Schedule (Everyday)
Breakfast: 5:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM - 2 PM
Dinner: 4:00 PM - 9 PM

I really love this idea. Sims seem to get hungry when there is no place around or cause a fire trying to cook when they don't cook or like to. I like the idea of putting this in or near apartments or places that don't have even a snacks for that moment your Sims gets hungry & has no way to satisfy that beast. Thank you.
Hey, excuse me but are you ever going to update this mod?
I'm having all sorts of problems getting it to work the way it used to. A patch broke the ability of objects to create situations to summon NPCs automatically, and I haven't been able to come up with another way for that to happen by itself. I did add a feature to summon staff for free, also some small business and getaway features, such as assigning someone to tend the cafeteria line, and also to have customers and visitors buy and eat the food. This is almost ready to go. But I don't know if I'm going to be able to get the original functionality back. You'll have to click the menu to summon (free) staff, or set it up on a small business or getaway lot. I was using this myself as part of a small business lot, and the small business feature is working better for me than the previous functionality. For one thing, I'm getting paid when NPCs buy food now. Anyway, I'm almost done with that update and will post it as soon as I can. Apologies that I can't get the original way to work anymore. If I figure something out, I'll add it back! Thanks for the feedback!
BTW, I discovered that this does in fact work on the Police Station, Hospital and Science Lab lots, but only while one of your sims goes to work there. I added a nifty cafeteria to the cop shop in the empty space next to the gym on the second floor, and a cafeteria vendor showed up at lunch time. Yum, BLTs from a steam table. It doesn't work if you travel to the lot using a 'cheat' like a 'travel to special lots' mod, since it seems to need the venue code to be running (which is tied to the active career) for the object's schedule to get used. I think.
I LOVE THIS! My sims are always out and about, especially when on vacation. Now I don’t have to remember to pack snack lunches or harvestables for them so they don’t die of hunger away from home 😂
