Newsletter January 2019 - Update 2.24, Version 3 Beta, & Improvements

Happy new year patrons! We may have had a rocky end to 2018, but the beginning of 2019 is looking very promising so far. Improvements, update 2.24, version 3 beta, and more coming this month.

Month of Improvements

Last month was difficult for Map Builder development. After countless hours, I managed to find a temporary solution for the user based crash issue. Once installing a modded gameconfig.xml, Map Builder was back up and running. This month will be all about finding a better solution. Many improvements will be coming to Map Builder this month as well. This will set the foundation for many more updates in 2019.

Map Builder for Patrons 2.24

The final full update for version 2 is set to release this month. In this final update you will receive new props and installation improvements. Update 2.24 will still be accessible after update 3.00 is released. I will keep it updated so you can use maps created with version 2.24 and older. This way I have no limitations to what can be done in version 3 and later.

Map Builder for Patrons 3 (Early Access Beta)

Early access for version 3.00 will be available later this month. This update will completely change the way Map Builder is integrated into GTA V. Version 3 and beyond will become more customizable for experienced user's. I plan to cut down on props and resource usage in 3.00 to make the game more stable. The changes may not be fully appreciated at first, but it's what we must do to evolve Map Builder. This is still a work-in-progress so things may change before the big release. Lots of new stuff on the way.

Beyond 3.00 in 2019

The new year represents the beginning of a new Map Builder. In 2019, I will bring you even more props for your building needs. I will take more time to process quality updates this year instead of rushing each update. Every prop added into version 3 will serve a unique purpose. More information will be available for version 3 in an upcoming post.

2019 will be another great year for us patrons!
