Home Prisoner Episode 3: Development Progress #2
Greetings, Home Prisoners!
First of all, I want to express a huge thank you for your support and interest in our project.
Today, we're excited to share several thrilling updates about the project. The first, and perhaps most important, news concerns significant progress in the game's optimization. We've moved closer to the core gameplay, which requires smooth and rapid movement throughout the house. Starting with a beautiful, but unoptimized design of our virtual home, we faced loading delays of up to 10 seconds between rooms. We were worried that our graphic style might prevent us from achieving the level of optimization we desired. But we did it!
Here's what we've done to improve the situation:
Single Pattern for Graphics: Now, all graphical elements of a room are compiled into one file, significantly speeding up loading.
Simplification of Door Animation: We've removed unnecessary frames from the animation and simplified the room-to-room transition process, making movement faster.
Image Compression: The file size has been reduced by 75%, which also aids in speeding up loading.
Removal of Unnecessary Backgrounds: We got rid of backgrounds that loaded when moving into any room, further accelerating the process.
Originally, we aimed to speed up the transfer by at least 50%, but by taking these four steps, we managed to increase the speed by up to ten times! This experience will be incredibly useful for creating even more optimized rooms and locations in the future. We have already reworked 7 out of 12 rooms in this manner.
Additionally, we're happy to report that the graphical part of one of the game events is 100% complete. While we focused on optimization and had less time for creating events, in our next post, we hope to share more significant progress in this direction.
In conclusion, I want to say that we are always open to your ideas, suggestions, and opinions, so please don't hesitate to share them. Together, we will make "Home Prisoner" even better!

Misa needs to get rid of that sweater and never wear it again, it's not doing her justice.
I agree with this, she needs to be in a cuter clothes
She might have Jerome inside the suitcase. She doesn’t want him there and I Like her temper
This was really needed well done! And nice to see Misa helping with Jerome's moving in the house xD
