Morning Speed Test
"Faster! Faster! This is awesome!"
"Left! Left! No, the other left!"
"We're gonna crash!... Don't stop!"
Work on the newly announced roadmap is actively underway. Today, we want to show you the current state of the Kinetic Momentum system.
Here's what has changed:
SMOOTH ACCELERATION
The wheelchair no longer reaches full speed instantly. Movement now builds up gradually, making it feel heavier and closer to the physical effort of pushing a real wheelchair.
MOMENTUM DECAY
Releasing the movement key no longer stops the wheelchair immediately. It now coasts naturally before coming to a complete halt.
COLLISION STABILIZATION
The interaction with walls and uneven obstacles has been rewritten. The old sprite jitter issue has been eliminated, and movement along collision boxes is now much smoother.
IMPACT FEEDBACK
Colliding with an object at higher speed now triggers proper physical feedback instead of stopping the character abruptly.
TOP SPEED +30%
To keep traversal comfortable after introducing the new acceleration system, the maximum speed has been increased by 30%. Just remember to brake in time—with the new impact feedback, reckless driving is not recommended.
These changes significantly alter the feel of the game. Movement is no longer standard engine-style grid behavior—it now feels much more grounded and physical.
The system is still being tested to ensure it works correctly with all existing house events and triggers.

Have to paint flames on the side of the chair with this new speed!
🔥🔥🔥
That was quick! Good job on improving the wheelchair movement will feel more realistic and way smoother!
