1000 Home Prisoners | Roadmap
Hello, Home Prisoners!
Today, we've hit two important milestones: 1,000 followers on Patreon and an unexpected peak of 147 active Patrons! I want to sincerely thank everyone who joined recently, as well as those who have been supporting the project for a long time.
As you know, Home Prisoner is not just a standard visual novel with static slides. Building a game in RPG Maker with fully custom graphics and interactive mechanics takes a significant amount of time. This wave of support shows that there are people who appreciate a more complex and interactive experience, and that motivates us to keep pushing the project forward.
To mark this milestone, we're announcing our first roadmap. Here is what we plan to add to the game in the coming month:
1. KINETIC MOMENTUM
Right now, the wheelchair moves a bit too mechanically: it lacks weight and stops instantly the moment you release the key. We are reworking the movement system to make the wheelchair feel much more natural. In the next update, the wheelchair will have more realistic movement — noticeable weight, smooth acceleration, momentum, and braking distance. Additionally, we plan to increase its maximum speed to make navigating the house much more dynamic.
2. MOUSE INPUT
Even though the keyboard remains the primary and most responsive option for wheelchair maneuvering, we are introducing mouse controls as an experimental feature for two reasons. First, simple comfort: the ability to lean back in your chair and fully immerse yourself in the story while playing with one hand. Second, it's a necessary foundation for the future. Under the engine's hood, a mouse click and a smartphone screen tap are processed using the exact same algorithms. By developing this mechanic now, we are laying the groundwork for potentially porting the game to mobile platforms later. We will test this input method and then, based on your feedback, decide how to finalize it.
3. FAMILY TRACKER
One of the biggest additions in the next update will be the Family Tracker. By pressing a hotkey or hovering the mouse near the right edge of the screen, a panel will smoothly slide out. You will no longer have to check every room blindly—the interface will display the exact real-time locations of the family members in the house.
Thank you once again for sticking with us, for your honest feedback, and for your patience. Work on the next stage has already begun.

I like the fact the wheelchair is being reworked
I think only the third point makes sense, as it would simply eliminate unnecessary stress. Otherwise, I agree with the commenters: focus more on the story—updates only come out once every six months as it is.
I love ur work, its incredible , and i really hope with all the updates and preparations u made the game gonna start its 2 part and the real stuff gonna happen i think its time pls
In principle, technical things and quality of life elements are always to be welcomed. Developing this is time-consuming and deserves recognition. But honestly, I don't know if that should be a priority right now. We can talk about the FAMILY TRACKER. That makes sense on its own. But the wheelchair? I mean, why not. But I think the game suffers from other crucial aspects. And I unfortunately have to say that the narrative structure is unfortunately not good at all. The new update brings a good example with it. On the NTR path, Jerome's wife introduced herself while masturbating. And then I wonder why the story doesn't continue from there? And further intensifies the wife's dilemma. There is actually no serious interaction between the two, and their thoughts on the matter are completely disregarded. Which leads to the story and possible interactions remaining stagnant. I don't mean it in a bad or derogatory way. the story premise is brutally good and one of the best ideas I know. But if I were to give the story script to an editor. He would definitely shorten the whole thing by half and introduce elements. Which gradually set a new stimulus. I would like to emphasize once again that my criticism is solely about the writing of the story and not the technical aspects. Because I think the technical aspect is already at a very high level that most games of this kind can only dream of.
I will just drop my opinion: i would just focus on the story progression, we are all here to watch jerome take the girls, i LOVE that it is slowly but focus on that instead of a wheelchair mechanic. When the game is done you could polish all those details left behind.
bug!
Please focus more on the progression of the story.
Congrats on the milestone! And wow these upcoming changes are going to improve the game a lot, especially # 3! And im guessing the new location will be the backyard with the Jacuzzi 🥰 (expecting hot scenes there)
I notice that in chapter 4 there is a way to have tips about what to do. For the 3 previus chapters you also are going to put this mecanic? Because I was playing for the first time but i didnt know what to do and I was totally lost in chapter 2 and 3. Maybe some kind of interactive guide or info about how that desicion is going to affect? for when we play for the second time about what that desicion is going to affect? in the future (sorry my english is very basic)
Увидимся в следующем году )))))))))))))
Glad to see the game finally gets the recognition it deserves; I definitely see this game get more support with each update.
cant wait for Jerome and both daughters! amazing game.
This is a great potential game, but I dont feel like point 1 is important, I would say the progress on story and more renders would be more appreciated
All the effort dedicated to creating this great game is greatly appreciated; Keep up the excellent work!
Excellent game
