Mini Accounting Application: Review & Feature, Fix or Focus Request [Gold & Silver]
Hello Members,
The training we have for this week that I have shared with you was about the Mini Accounting Application. If you have not seen it yet, you can view it right here on YouTube.
Now that the training has been released, I am looking for your feedback to make this even better, just for you, our incredible Patreon Members.
So, what Feature can I add for you? Did you find an issue you want me to fix? Or is there a particular area you would like me to focus on?
Please comment your ideas and feedback to any of these below and I will do my best to not only create an updated workbook but release a private training video next Monday, right here on Patreon.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and thanks so much for your support.
Regards,
Randy

if I want it to be able to be used by several users and therefore upload the file to Onedrive, you can not click on shapes to run a macro. How to solve that problem?
Hi and thanks, the best way to solve this problem is to duplicate the workbook and give it to each user. You would then share ONLY the data between the workbooks in a shared drive such as OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive. I show you exactly how to do this in this video https://youtu.be/aKV5seZmiBs
Many small businesses don't only sell products, also hours. How can i implement also "billing by the hour" in the mini accounting application?
Hi and thanks. Great question. The Mini Accounting Application has two types of items 'Inventory' and 'Non-Inventory'. For hourly billing you can use the non-inventory items, and create unlimited # of those which can be used for hourly billing. If you take a look at the template I have created, and look at the last item, called 'Hourly Service Work', this is a perfect example of an item that is used to bill by the hour. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to accept outside payments system payments I meant to be able to track payments within the actual workbook. Like with a POS system, there are several times that a person wants to pay with a certain amount in cash, and pay a balance with another method (like a debit card or perhaps a gift certificate). Another possible instance could be requiring a down payment on a order with balance due upon completion of the work. The down payment could be via credit card, and when the job is done they want to pay balance in cash. Lets say the deposit was paid on the 10th of the month, and the balance is paid on the 15th. It also would allow for the ability to account for payments that were returned unpaid, like a bounced check (rare payment form nowadays), but still hapoens. I hope this explains a little more. This would also show percentage of how people pay with certain types of currency.
Hi Duane, thanks for the additional details. I do understand and I have a dedicated training on that called the 'Accounts Receivable Manager' which covers a lot of what you are requesting here: https://youtu.be/AQF300aevfY (It is also here on Patreon as well) I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Love your lessons...is there a way that you could incorporate multi pay types, such as a credit card payment and cash...or accept a gift certificate and balance in cash where it would record and reconcile as separate items...?
Hi and thanks so much. Accepting payments does require an API however I did cover creating a Stripe Payment link in this video: https://youtu.be/nyjk7_J7a_A I hope this helps and thanks so much.
