Editable Apartment Halls
A special save file with unlocked Apartment Halls to allow editing as well as some fixes.
Download: CurseForge / SFS
Patch Breakage: Low

To allow editing of apartment hallways, I removed the data that marked shared spaces as shared. Further testing showed that this does not affect any gameplay mechanics, as unmarked areas are still treated as shared spaces. Hallway editing is possible due to a bug (later shipped as an intended feature) that allows exterior editing in apartments; the ability to edit apartment windows was originally accidental.
This also fixes the issue of missing ceilings in the Chic Street apartments, which were broken by the Horse Ranch patch when custom ceilings were introduced.

There is only one limitation to editing and that is building walls/structural changes. You can delete existing interior walls, but you cannot rebuild them or modify them, so be aware of that. Painting walls/floors works fine.

If you don't want to use a new save file and want to introduce these halls to your existing saves, you can try to follow this really poorly done tutorial.
All of the mods I create would not exist without Lot51's Tuning Builder & Core Library, Sims 4 Studio, and Maxis.Comments (8)
Hey, the save doesnt need updating as its been edited to stay as is for good now
Hello and thank you for this 🤎! I wanted to know if this save will be updated following the patches? especially when some corrections aren't retroactive on old saves!
Where is your mod "Assign Any Sims to Custom Venues" I use it for pretty much everything
Came here to ask the same thing! Is it retired?
This is insanely good, tho. it's a shame it's a savedata file and not a mod itself, I wonder if it's possible to create an app that automically modifies a savefile so we don't have to start from 0?
Right! I was hoping it would have been a mod instead a save date file.
You are my hero 🥹🤩 Where should we place the file? I have a feeling it's not in the mod folder 🤔
extract it into the saves folder!
