Waiting on jobs numbers (like today) to be poor and real gdp to be too bad to ignore as potential catalysts. The rush to safety would (in theory) push high duration bonds above par. I’m, admittedly, underperforming YoY and just collecting coupons, but only a 3% spread isn’t bad when the bonds are paying 4.75.

Hey, so I was ribbing you on the post about losing a lot earlier. I’m doing this (subject of waiting on a catalyst) right now with treasuries. Ive been slowly building into treasuries and getting a decent return for a few months now waiting on investors to have a flight to safety when AI doesn’t print as much as they thought I would.

As a biotech investor, and with biotech eating shit for the large part of the past 3 months, you underestimate my ability to hold stocks in my portfolio as they drop another 20-30% because I know as soon as I sell they'll pump 200% because of positive trial outcome
