ok so I know nobody really cares but there are white people doing kpop, not a crazy amount but it's still possible. in general the term 'kpop' is for songs in korean/containing korean but there is a different category for kpop groups. they generally have a different training structure, different focuses (like performance>vocals), and the way they do merch (photocards, etc). an example of a 'kpop' group that doesn't sing in korean at all is katseye. it's a big debate on if they're technically a kpop group or not but they function in basically the same exact way with weverse (kpop specific artist platform), photocards, and how the group was formed (survival show). they also perform at Korean music shows and awards. so for a lot of kpop it's really the structure of the group rather than the songs themselves being in korean. also, a significant amount of people in kpop groups are not even korean, just asian. like blackpink only 1 was actually borned in raised in korea and 1 is literally from thailand. there are also a lot of japanese members in kpop groups and chinese members. also I'm not sure if this counts as a white girl doing kpop but trisha paytas released a song completely in korean and it charted on kpop iTunes list and I'm not sure about anywhere else but it's technically kpop because it is completely korean
