Law School - Episode 6 - Devlog #6

Boy, was I dialed in last week.
I finished the 3 branching paths I thought would eat up the whole week by Saturday night. So on Sunday, I wrote a new scene, jumped straight into it, and I'm already at 52 renders.
I could have done more, but like the previous scenes, I decided to have the characters change locations halfway through. It's a dialogue-heavy scene, so it made sense for them to move around while they talk. I think it looks great, and I'm really happy with how these scenes are turning out.
I may also have found a new VA for the cutscene I had in mind, so work on that is starting, and I might begin animating next week. The timing is pretty good, since I have this scene to finish and then 5 more before I hit an animation-heavy one (wink wink).
Anyway, let's talk numbers:
Static renders: 741
Animations: 38
Story content: 9 scenes written (8'049 words)
That's 301 new renders since last week. If memory serves, it's only the second time I've broken 300. The first time I hit 396, but that was a crazy week that left me wiped out for the next two days. This time? I feel ready to go for another 300! (I probably won't get there though, busy week ahead.)
Other than that, not much to report. I genuinely feel like I made real progress this week. The goal now is to reach the next big scene, which comes after 4 shorter ones. I'm going to try to get them all done this week.
I'm still figuring out this new Quip feature Patreon introduced, so I'll try to use it more and share renders from the episode here and there, like I do on Discord.
Time to get back to work. In the meantime, I wish you all a great week.

To be completely clear, you made it sure we cant be fucking around on multiple routes after the last episode. So i think thats the lesson
Yeah, as soon as I saw this, I knew Law School wasn’t a harem, and there would be consequences if you’re messing around with multiple girls at the same time. That's why I created multiple saves for each girl. While it helped create drama, it’s cringey to watch (in a good and accountable way). I like it when AVNs add this slice-of-life content to their games. Kudos to MisterMaya for implementing consequences for cheating and holding us accountable. I saw someone's playthrough where they messed around with Taylor and Aurora up until the Halloween party, and man, that scene broke me. Taylor's reaction was heartbreaking. I couldn't, in good conscience, hurt her and the other girls like that.
