The most disappointing thing about the animated maps.

Hi there!

You know what's the most disappointing about the animated maps I've observed? They all look awesome on Youtube, on reddit, IG, but if it comes to actual play, when you need to zoom in the map it all becomes very blurry, low quality and pixalated. I've been there too - before I started making ones! I used to download the maps and then see they work on 1920x1080 res only, which doesn't satisfy me and caused my eyes wet in tears. Overall I dumped the idea of downloading the animated maps for my games and thought what I could do, to have them look better - and this is how this Patreon came to be!

But here is something you need to know:
One of the coolest things your Patreon support has made possible recently is that I can now render my animated maps in full 8K Ultra HD (7680 × 4320). That’s a level of resolution I literally couldn’t touch before with animated battlemaps, and it opens up a whole new playground for me!

The latest releases – Sanctum of the Forbidden Rites, Borderwatch Bridge, Tropical Island and Halls of Tides – are already taking advantage of this max resolution. And what does that mean in practice?

  • I can make bigger maps, not just small cut-outs.

  • I can actually put together entire dungeon complexes in one go.

  • And it all comes out in absolutely gorgeous, razor-sharp quality and that's with still reasonable file size (10-20MB)

This feels like a real step up in what I can deliver, and honestly, it’s only possible because of your backing. Thanks for letting me push the limits like this!
Cheers!
