August Update – Maps, Renovations, and Baby Prep

August was a big one for me outside of the screen. Most of my time went into getting everything ready for my daughter’s arrival—moving furniture, fixing up a room, and putting together a cozy space for her. Honestly, it felt a lot like building a battlemap, almost like Rainhill Manor—placing props and furniture here and there—but this time in real life, and sadly not in a grand manor, just in my regular (and slightly smaller) apartment.

Of course, I couldn’t forget about mapmaking (or the fact that the sun was blazing outside), so a summer pirate map was born: Tropical Island. As I mentioned earlier this summer, the packs right now are a little “lighter,” but still full of inspiring locations. It gives me some breathing room after monsters like Halls of Tides, which in some variants (split into separate rooms/dungeon sections) ended up being around 16 maps!

September looks like it’ll be just as intense, but I’ll make sure new maps keep coming your way.
