AMA | the toothpaste video

I have a question about the fluoride water. So if the purpose is to build up tooth enamel to protect them, would it be beneficial to simply do like a highly concentrated fluoride mouth wash? Instead of placing trace amounts of it in drinking water.

Awesome video, I had a question during it, before toothpaste did people just not wash their teeth?

Did you also do any research into the science of mouthwash? How good is the literature about oral hygiene that isn't to do with toothpaste/brushing?

Have there been any controversies around teethpaste beyond flouride? I recall a while back there was concern that Colgate brand teethpaste contained triclosan which was linked to causing cancer but I think that's since been debuncted?
