Gonna do a Crackdown this week, long overdue and they help me release pent-up energy.
Furthermore, I'm going to be reworking the patreon tiers. I haven't been living up to them, and it's not ok to pretend I will at some point in the future. I only set this up because people asked, and while it's nice to share updates and thoughts on my work (which I will continue to do) I should not be promising bloopers and behind-the-scenes. I'm all about the finished product, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I should be more clear.
From here forward, being a patron on any level will get your name in the credits and these occasional updates. Your support means the world to me, and I hope to continue to earn it.

Project Maya is coming along nicely. I found a Franciscan Friary near me and I want to interview someone there for the purposes of understand WHY someone would join them. Diego de Landa had a very privileged upbringing, and Franciscans take a vow of poverty.
As I write and research I tend to narrow in on WHAT exactly I wanna talk about, and in this case, it's Millenarianism. Diego de Landa, it appears, although he never said so explicitly, believed that by converting the Maya that Jesus Christ would return to Earth. This video is panning out to be a dissection of faith and perspective.
Diego de Landa believed himself to be living at the end of the world, and he acted accordingly. My goal with the video will be to illustrate how and why the Spanish New World looked like the end of days.

Last video you updated i was very sleepy watching before work and credits were showing slowly and nicely and i thought "damn dog, he changed it, aztec video had them scroll if few seconds" then i reminded myself that i asked you in comments to make them appear slower lmao, my sleepy dumbass forgot that you are the only 1 of 2 people i pay on patreon(hbomberguy too) just do what you do, i have a lot of trust to you mam
They definitely won't have that long to scroll next time, as it was like 7 minutes, but they will be made readable now, you were right to complain. The outro cards can only go in the last 20 seconds of a video, but people barely click on those anyway.
