Stop Those Annoying Festival Notifications!
Hi all! Idk if anyone else gets annoyed by the festival notifications from City Living or Snowy Escape, but I sure do, so I made a mod to stop them! I think those were the only two EPs that had it, but if I missed one let me know.
Important: You need EITHER City Living or Snowy Escape, otherwise this mod is pointless.
Made on patch 1.82, should be compatible in future patches as well, if not it will be updated below!
Added Cottage Living Festival Notifications! These are now turned off! For Patch 1.89!
Update 12/28/2023: Okay I reworked these so they no longer are removed from the calendar, sorry about that! I didn't realize I did that since I never use them. xD So that is fixed now and I have separated the files for each pack and added High School Years to the No Festival Notifs mods below.
For patch 1.103 now! But could work on previous patches possibly. Most likely will work on future ones too, but wait til I clear them!
Update 07/29/2024 and Patch 1.108:
-This patch brought us an update for Cottage Living Notifications, why? Because EA can. So you just need to redownload that file if you have Cottage Living! All the others are fine. :)
Update 11/01/2024:
Added No Festival Notifications for the Life & Death pack! You can still see the events on the calendar like the other packs, you just will no longer be notified about them in your notification pop up.
Update 09/24/2025: Updated High School Years! All are compatible with patch 1.118!
Update 10/13/2025 for Adventure Awaits! Still compatible with patch 1.118!
Update 10/14/2025 for High School Years, added Thrift Tea notifications!
Update 10/19/2025: Still getting thrift tea notifications? I fixed that, please redownload High School Years file!
Update 10/25/2025: Added Discover University and Lovestruck notifications which includes Cupids Corner!
Update 10/28/2025: Added Business & Hobbies notification that mentions how to turn on/off notifications about hobby meetups!
Update 12/28/2025: Got a notification (haha) on tumblr about nuking social bunny notifications so I did just that. Also thrift tea surprised me and notified me in game so I nuked them some more. Both are from High School Years so if you own that pack please redownload that file! Also patch 1.120 compatible!
Update 01/18/2026: I want to make my own getaways and not be bothered by EA's. My sim's father in law bugged him for a getaway and it annoyed me so I made an optional separate Adventure Awaits No To Getaways file that nukes the three you can get.
Update 02/09/2026: Updated City Living and Adventure Awaits No To Getaways for patch 1.121. All the others are fine.
Update 02/18/2026: Nuked the blank notification issue! Sorry about that. Redownload Business & Hobbies and High School Years if you own those packs!
Keep letting me know if there are any others I've missed! i shall nuke them all! LOL

Odd it works fine in my game, it must be a different mod. I can't reproduce the issue.

Does the city living notification file need updated? I am getting an exception for it with better exceptions

for some reason, i cant see some festivals on the calendar. Like flea market,geekcon, but the new festivals from LaD are ok.
That is odd, maybe a mod conflict? Do you have any calendar mods?

Depends on if you have cottage living or not! You can have both in game!
