Loved re-watching this with you both ! You missed the post credit scene and each movie has one that's truly important .
Really should do the 2nd one! Dead Mans Chest is worth watching.
When are you posting the next one??!
Hope you guys do the rest of the franchise. Great reaction. The part with the boat underwater and them not drowning is science. When you put the boat in upside down it forms an air pocket that doesn't fill with water.
Rewatching this!! Hoping you will finish the series!!!
U guys need to watch the second and third movie as it is one of my favourites trilogies ever.
Ik I’m late but we need the whole series of these movies love them all I think y’all will too!🙌
Ash is fucking hilarious
50:00 (your video timestamp) I daresay I'll never be able to think of Keira Knightley without remembering this! 😂 2:08:00 "And the last thing that they feel is death." If that ain't symbolism, I don't know what is. :-/ 2:13:10 !!! Credit to Hannah, I never picked up on that! 2:15:03 May I introduce you to Keira Knightley? :-)
Such a disappointment, bought the membership and no movie visible!! Never again.
they cant show a whole movie...? they woiuld get copyrighted. you que the movie up at the same time lmfao
At the time of the first Pirates, Hans Zimmer was working on several projects, including composing the scores for The Last Samurai, The Ring, and The Road to Perdition. His busy schedule made it challenging for him to dedicate all his time to the Pirates of the Caribbean score, leading to his collaboration with Klaus Badelt. Hans Zimmer co-composed the music with Klaus Badelt because they were both part of the same music production company, Media Ventures. Zimmer, who was busy with other projects at the time, enlisted Badelt to collaborate on some of the tracks to ensure the film's music was completed on schedule. I bet this is why Hans used some ideas from Gladiator.
Grate reaction I recommend shaft (2019)
YYYYYYYYYES mate, SUCH a great trilogy to react to! Can't wait for the rest!
omg please do the other two of the triology too! and don't hate on the soundtrack, it's a Hans Zimmer masterpiece :D
Remember there are 2 more films in this trilogy and technically 4 more movies for Jack. The fairytale ending of the 1st film has severe consequences & heartache is coming for all the characters you've just met. Very specific heartache lol. With the reaction here to Norrington & Barbossa, I cant wait to see them react to the next one, specifically one scene. Lmao it is Hans Zimmer 😂 I love this soundtrack, specifically the 3rd film's.
I can’t wait until they watch the rest of these movies
I'm impressed that you picked up on the Gladiator/PotC music similarities. Most people don't pay that close of attention to cinematic scores (sadly!). Great reaction!
It's also funny to notice it this way around, these days, as the Pirates theme is so much more iconic to this day, most people couldn't recall the music from The Gladiator if you asked them. I was watching The Rock recently and thought it sounded familiar, and one of the reactors somewhat jokingly said it was probably Hans Zimmer or something, right when I was thinking it probably was, and it did turn out to be him. It was less of the core theme though and more of just like the upbeat action music. I've noticed more and more about composers like him and John Williams reusing musical threads the more of their movies I've watched.
Wait...when ypu pay patron there is no movie? Just them?
I have to buy the movie now too? I didn't know that..shit*
Great reaction!
Can anyone help me, why is It that the movie is not visible?
Its a full lenght so you have to get your own copy of the movie and sync it with them
This music from hans zimmer is a very iconic score and isn’t like gladiator at all lol..Apart from that love watching you 2 you’re very entertaining thanks..
Zimmer did both films, and there is a main theme in Gladiator that is almost identical to the main theme in Pirates, just a little slower and missing like one or two notes. There is a YouTube video comparing them back to back, it's literally almost the exact same theme.
Love the reaction, Pirates of the Caribbean-On Strange Tides is hands down the best one tho
the sequel addresses the disney ending right away.
Literally the first scene is like a gut punch, lol. I miss Disney's willingness to go darker like they did with these films
PIRATES 2 AND 3 PLEASE!!!
Apparently back in the day corsets were tailor-made for women, so it'd fit them right. There's a video of pictures of women in corsets doing cartwheels and stuff.
Yes, I always interpreted Elizabeth's not having been sized correctly for her on order and the maids not knowing how to put on the latest London fashions for it to make sense lol.
Saw this in the theater back in 2001. Lots of fun. The second one is very good too, the first act is amazing. The third one while not perfect, does wrap the trilogy up on a good note. The fourth I think is not bad, but unnecessary. The fifth is a meh film.
THANK YOU BOTH FOR ALL THAT YOU DO. ❤️❤️🙂
You two are so wholesome to watch with <3
What the f are you yapping about the music man. Hans Zimmer being lazy while writing the most iconic score in cinema history??? Yeah right. Just because you recognised a small portion of a track that is similar to a portion of this track
THIS WITH HUNGER GAMES?! Thanks y'all, cheers
I'm so excited for this reaction!!!
The series of films "goes off the deep end" with me [SYMBOLISM] but the first couple of films are pretty damn good writing. I love them and I LOVE this reaction.
Yea hunger games and pirates of the Caribbean 😍 two of my favourite franchises along with harry potter
Why do i not see the movie?
YYYYYYAAAASSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
Ugh. Ash doesn't like females does he. In the opening scene he see's a 10 year old Elizabeth and calls her a bitch, thinks she's sexually playing both Will and Jack, and gleefully laughs when she get's slapped, etc. I've watched a lot of film reactions with Ash and Hannah and I see this every time. I'm disgusted. I dare anyone to watch any movie on the channel, any one, and compare the sympathetic way Ash reacts to males on film to the suspicious, sexual, objectivistic way he sees women in film. But let's face it, there aren't a lot of women following this channel. Not sure how Hannah is okay dating a total misogynist.
Chill it ain’t that deep and if you believe so why you paying a subscription then just bringing the mood down
Did you watch the end credits scene?
1d I think for a movie reaction you would all enjoy the Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) it's a magical adventure action movie with an amazing cast! Love all your reactions, thank you for all that you do :)
When Jack and Will are hiding under the small boat, Ash is completely right in that it's not possible. Mythbusters tested it and found that they couldn't trap air underneath and still be under water.
This actually isn't entirely true. You CAN trap air underwater like that, flip a glass into a bathtub and watch. HOWEVER you CAN'T pull a boat to the bottom of the ocean with air in it with two people. You'd have to be superhuman.
Just joined the patreon. Is there an active discord? If so, could someone send me a link. The one in my membership tab isn’t working
