And now you have to watch the most beautiful film My girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cheryl B · December 16, 2024

My partner and I watch this film every year and loved your reaction last year so we've just watched it again this year. It's one of those films that once you've seen it you want everyone else to watch/experience it but at the same time feel kinda bad for the emotional rollercoaster they will go on. Merry Christmas guys!

Back again in 2025!

Thank you. It really is one of my favorite movies. I watch it every Christmas. ❤️

If you're taking suggestions for old black and white movies to watch, I'd recommend It Happened One Night, Casablanca, All About Eve, and The Lost Weekend. All of those were Oscar Best Picture winners and are *chef's kiss*. I'd also add Mr Smith Goes to Washington and The Philadelphia Story to must watch movies.

Marie Pelonero Martin · January 6, 2024

Frank Capra was an incredible director! You would absolutely love A pocketful of Miracles......of his. It is as warm and moving as this movie, Singing in the Rain- about the transition from silent films to talkies, Rear Window....Alfred Hitchcock and Jimmy Stewart same actor in this movie!

Prince Bhujel · January 4, 2024

Bro where is the movie it’s just you guys talking

Its a full lenght so you have to get your own copy of the movie and sync it with them

Ash and Hannah, you must watch Jimmy Stuart (George) recite/read his poem, My Dog Bo, on Johnny Carson as an older man. It makes you love him even more!

T
Travis Cannon · January 6, 2024

I just watched that after you recommended it and it was beautiful. A bit goofy but slowly turned into something so heartfelt and almost painful. The crowd expects different being a talk show so there are some out of place laughs but you could tell that came from the heart. I relate to this so much, my dog Barley growing up, getting old, and passing. My grandpa's poem book, Jimmies body of work. Thanks for that recommendation, meant a lot! (Even tho it wasn't for me lol)

I’ve seen this movie countless times but every Christmas i watch it and I end up dehydrated by the time it’s over. I start crying during the pharmacy scene when George even though he’s being beaten he still empathizes with Mr Gower. By the end I’m soaked in tears but I feel terrific. Lmao.

T
Tom · December 29, 2023

It hurts to watch it because living hurts, the best movie ever, easy

J
John Liebling · December 29, 2023

I think it would be a lot of fun if the Patreon community created a list of the top 15 Twilight Zone episodes from the late 1950s and early 1960s and after the vote ends Ash and Hannah watch the top 5 from that list.

T
Travis Cannon · January 6, 2024

That's a great freaking idea!!! There are SO MANY great episodes of that show!!! Let's put some kind of list together and light up Ash and Hannah until they can't ignore it

OmG you finally watched my favorite movie! I love this movie, and as someone who has survived very bad depression, I hate it when people call ideations “the easy way out”. Because at the time it always feels like you’re actually doing everyone a favor, and George Bailey’s experience is so in line with that horrible feeling. I watch this movie every Christmas, and it makes me glad I lived every year since I have felt that way. I’m glad you guys gave it a 10!

Z
Zachary Zabayle · December 27, 2023

One of my favorite films. A complete antithesis to what this world promotes of "get yours". Give until it hurts.

E

I think this might be my favorite reaction of yo it s so far! It would be so cool to see you guys react to more old movies, like The Sound of Music and Gone with the Wind

Merry Christmas, would love yall to react to Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters it's an amazing movie.

d
dieselbeast · December 26, 2023

Speaking of The Godfather I think its time to have Hannah react to it sometime in the near future, its way over due lol

J
John Liebling · December 25, 2023

Because of the way you both reacted to It's A Wonderful Life, I would recommend "Same Time Next Year" Its has humor, great music to set the tone, and touching scenes. And a very unique premise, it's certainly a type of movie I doubt either one of you has seen before. I won't add any more, don't want to be a spoiler. It will show a very interesting dynamic between men in women from the 50s through the 70s...not just the country which changes over time.

Shyanne Shadle · December 25, 2023

I have to say thank you to you two. Things have really been rough in my life for the past few years and it’s really hard to just get up in the morning. Watching you two always puts a smile on my face. Merry Christmas mates! ❤️

Watching for the 2nd time on Xmas eve… A few days ago, I wanted to give you $300 just to watch this movie for Xmas. I subbed just to experience this whole movie with y’all. I am so glad y’all did this. I watch this every year, & cry every time. This film means so much to me (& I’m sure millions of others) during this time of year. It reminds me of my grandparents & what Christmas used to (& should) feel like. Again, thank y’all both for this reaction & the reverence y’all expressed. Sláinte & happy new year.

E
Eddie Perkins · December 24, 2023

This has always been one of my favorite movies, and just not for Christmas. Anyone who can watch this movie without being moved must have a heart, just like Potter. And you can't go wrong with any Jimmy Stewart movie; he is such a great actor. One of these days you need to watch Rear Window (1954). Here are some fun facts about It's a Wonderful Life that you might find interesting: https://youtu.be/lD2Q9GrEHjU?feature=shared 🎄 I wish you both a Merry Christmas

M
MrPodcastio · December 24, 2023

D
Danielle Bergmann · December 24, 2023

Aw, haha. I was thinking the other day how I'd think this would be such a good reaction, but we'd never see that. Happy Holidays, Ash and Hannah!

D
DOSBoot · December 24, 2023

There’s a reason this is just not only one of the best Christmas movies ever made, but one of the greatest movies of all time. Of all the films James Stewart did, this was his personal favorite, and he did a lot of movies. It’s a life changing movie. Shows how much of an impact one man can make in his life. If you’re looking for more films from this guy, check out “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”, “The Philadelphia Story”, “The Man Who Knew Too Much”, “Rope”, “Vertigo”, “Rear Window”, “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance”, “Strategic Air Command”, “The Flight of the Phoenix”, “The Spirit of St. Louis”, “Shenandoah“, “Harvey”, and “Anatomy of a Murder”. Just to name a few.

Merry Christmas Ash and Hannah!!! I knew you would love this one and be WRECKS lmao because it wrecks me EVERY time. I saw this film for the first time a few years ago and it is now hands down my favorite Christmas movie, 10/10, always makes me sobs buckets (...I hope after turning off the camera you both had a nice cathartic cry lol). This movie needs to be seen as an adult to appreciate George's struggle, such a powerful and beautiful story. I also agree that this is probably one of the most beautifully told romances I've ever seen in film. Jimmy Stewart is a powerhouse of an actor, please watch more of his stuff! He is amazing to watch in anything he does. And props to Donna Reed too for her amazing acting as Mary. Love to you guys, Merry Christmas!

J
Jonny Moonsliver · December 24, 2023

This has been voted by the American Film Association to be the most inspirational movie of all time. No joke.

J
John Liebling · December 24, 2023

Just Trust Ash community, what you say...should we have a poll regarding Monty Python films...After Ash and Hannah are don with the Star Wars films, Pirates of the Carribean and the Hungar Games...it would be a hoot and a half if they watched the Monty Python films. Only they can tell us if they've seen them before or not.

J
John Liebling · December 24, 2023

Just Trust Me: No chance either Hannah or Ash will not be laughing hysterically after watching...1. Monty Python's Meaning of Life, or Life of Brian, or the Holly Grail.

J
JB77! · December 24, 2023

Remember, no man (or woman) is a failure who has friends. Thanks for the wings, guys. Merry Christmas! Also, the bank run/honeymoon part was the Great Depression.

Your reaction was wonderful to watch! The message of this film is absolutely timeless and I tear up every time I watch it. Merry Christmas!

K
Kiwi Tennille 🥝 · December 23, 2023

This was Jimmy Stewart’s first acting role after he fought in World War II. He had flown 25 combat missions and returned home with PTSD. During one scene, he is sitting despondent in a bar when he exclaims: “I’m not a praying man, but if you’re up there and you can hear me, show me the way. I’m at the end of my rope. Show me the way, God…” At this, he started to cry. That moment wasn’t in the script. Stewart later reported, “As I said those words, I felt the loneliness, the hopelessness of people who had nowhere to turn, and my eyes filled with tears. I broke down sobbing. That was not planned at all.” Our lives ripple into others, like a pebble in a lake. Our existence is meaningful, whether we realize it or not. Our lives naturally web out into the lives of others and brings pain or joy, delight or despair, depending on how we choose to live our lives. We get to decide.

J
John Liebling · December 24, 2023

Very profound Tennille. Thanks for sharing.

S
Shivs · December 23, 2023

My favourite Xmas movie of all time. Frank Capra was a genius of just finding our basic humanity. Jimmy Stewart is a legend. “Remember no man is a failure who has friends”

J
John Liebling · December 23, 2023

Jimmy Stewart had incredible range. If you curious about other Jimmy Stewart, you can't go wrong with the following: 1. Born To Dance with the greatest female tap dancer Eleanore Powell. 2. Harvey - just good-natured fun. 3. Mr. Smith Goes To Washington - directed by Frank Capra, the same person from It's A Wonderful Life. 4. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. 5. Rear Window - Alfred Hitchcock. 6. Anatomy of a Murder 7. Vertigo - more Hitchcock. 8. Rope 9. Call Northside777 . All these movies show off Stewart's incredible talent. Well, he's having fun in Born To Dance, even though he can't sing or dance. He's trying. And in 1936 is career was just beginning.
