bro plz do entourage i dont think you do tv, but youd be the champ for doing it
You seemed to love Band of Brothers, you have to watch the second mini series. Same production but on the Japanese side. It is called The Pacific
Simple story. Simple premise. Complex, subtle themes and dialogue throughout, that takes a while to decipher. Takes multiple viewings. Denzel won the oscar of course, back in 2001.
This should've been Denzel's second best actor Oscar win at that time. Malcolm X should've been his first best actor win.
Bro I have a whole collection of recently released movies in my "watch list", but do not even have the urge to watch them. And I just watched this whole movie from you, start to end. I hear what you are saying. 99% of the movies out now are just shit. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. This movie is legendary.
Definitely don't sleep on Gosling
I really loved this reaction Ash! Amazing job! This really made my Friday night. Thank you. I really love this movie and Denzel did such a brilliant job in this movie. I totally respect you defending Alonzo throughout the movie while realizing what he really was at the end. Alonzo was a narcissist and sociopath just justifying his actions to manipulate everyone around him to get his way. I think the only thing you were missing in this movie is context of being an American. The inspiration for Alonzo and his unit was pulled directly from the Rampart Scandal in the 90s in the LAPD where an anti-crime\gang unit used their unit to murder, rob, lie, and make a tremendous amount of money doing a huge amount of terrible things. I would recommend you looking into it. And it hasn't gone away.. the LASD have active gangs operating within the Sherriff's Dept doing whatever they want. While this is one of my personal favorite Denzel movie I would check out more Denzel movies directed by Tony Scott. Tony Scott was the director of Man on Fire and he used Denzel in a lot of his movies, all of which are really, really good.
Oh! And don't sleep on Ryan Gosling! His movie Drive and The Nice Guys are both in my top 20 favorite movies. Drive in it's neo-noir extremely graphic albeit very stylish violence with a soundtrack, sound editing, and cinematography that's all brilliant. And The Nice Guys with it's neo-noir 70s detective story\buddy action flick that's really hilarious and shows Gosling's range as a bumbling, down on his luck private investigator. I really like him a lot and he has some great movies in his filmography.
Sat down through it all with you mate, seen it many times always just as good ! #AintGotShitOnThis
The role that won him one of a few Oscars
"king Kong ain't got shit on me" 😆👌
