I love this movie and the reaction. I literally had the opposite lol, I got into martial arts when I was 23 and I was a bad drunk had a terrible relationship end etc. I had a mentor just like this that I paid to train me, he took me under his wing gave me extra work to earn money. Let me teach classes and stuff, sometimes you need guy's like Walt. My instructor was from South Korea but he was Walt lol. And yes sometimes violence does solve issues.
That is such a great movie. You need to watch Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby. I know you will like them.

Fellow patrons, Mystic River is peak Clint. MDB is great but needs to sit on the bench while MR gets buckets. Coach Ash will sub it in after MR has the game in hand.

Yeah Walt's family in this movie are a bunch of assholes. He becomes closer with his neighbors by the end. I love how he knows he is dying so he sacrifices himself for Thao and Sue.
