Chapter 5 - Part 2: Week 35 Progress

Hey all,

I know that I said there were only 2 animations left, but inspiration can't be denied. It's a boring story, but one animation didn't work out because animating hair can be a nightmare, so I expanded on the final animation instead and found myself wanting to shoot it from different angles with some minor tweaks to focus on different things. If it wasn't for the stupid hair issues, this last scene might have had twice as many animations in about the same timeframe. Although if we've learned anything about my estimates, we could probably cut that number in half, hah!

I can actually visualise the last renders I need, and there should only be another 15-20 to wrap this final scene up. I hope there aren't any hidden sections that I'm missing, but if there are, they're definitely tiny and aren't likely to need any additional renders. I hesitate to give release estimates because it's almost like the world (my brain?) conspires to ensure that I miss any estimated dates I give. However, I can say this is likely the last progress report for this release! If anything, next week will be the "wrap-up" report, where I go over the final preparations for the update, detail the release schedule, etc.

I want nothing more than to get this damn update out, but I sometimes feel like one of those marathon runners whose legs give out as soon as they see the finish line. Additionally, it's difficult to remain in that particular state of mind for long periods of time, if you know what I mean. Similar to the old 'if it lasts longer than 4 hours, seek medical attention' sort of scenario, minus the meds. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it can be taxing to be like that for long stretches of time on a daily basis. Sorry if that's TMI, but I like to be transparent and explain why I'm such a slow bi-...
