Oh I hope I’m not too late! NFL is debuting in Australia! I love football season - if there’s a game on the tv is on in our house. I feel like I’ve heard you say you’ve watched red zone before, how do you feel about the sport attempting to spread its reach to other countries? Plans to watch the game? Long time listener and love your content, thank you!!

Music question for the team—Pick an album that you love to play when you are (1) driving alone (2) relaxing/focusing (3) exercising

I hope I am not too late. Two different questions: 1. For case 349, why wasn't there an attempt to charge Stacey with Mike Wallace's murder? Was his family satisfied with the conviction of David Castor? In other cases, when multiple victims are involved, families of those who aren't secured a conviction for their specific crime may feel justice has been denied to them. 2. For case 350, Tony was portrayed from the start as wrongfully convicted, for example including his name in the title, telling segments from his point-of-view, and foreshadowing dubious evidence. Casefile usually highlights a turning-point or "reveal" in these kinds of cases. I enjoyed the change of pace, but what was the decision process here?

The Amerithrax case was fascinating, I'm very curious why the attacker(s) targeted just a few minor magazines, and sentators, doesn't seem like there is a clear motive for choosing those targets. 2001-2002 had so many high publicity attacks. D.C. Snipers would be an interesting case to cover.

Hi team. Are you aware of a new book by Roje Augustin on Katherine Knight? I just listened to her interview with Gary Jubelin. There was SO MUCH I didn't know about her past. Truly horrifying.

Toyah Cordingley's case was rough, as a dog lover and how brutal her death was. Case 350 was so well told highlighting the role of trauma in witness testimony. Thank you for these quality episodes and your amazing research.

For Case 349: I was somewhat familiar with this case from seeing the very intense cross examination of Stacey Castor. How do you as a writer determine how much time to spend on the trial portion of a case when the evidence seems pretty overwhelming?

Two general questions: What’s one of the most difficult parts of creating true crime content that listeners probably don’t realize goes on behind the scenes? Was there a case you covered that changed the way you approached true crime? Thanks for all the hard work and effort you put into Casefile. The end product truly reflects the dedication and attention to detail. Thank you for always releasing a quality podcast, I really appreciate it!

Alice Sebold & Toni Broadwater was such a sad case. That poor man, nothing will ever make up for the injustice he experienced. I really love miscarriage of justice cases, and I was wondering if this is something the writer (Emily) has a particular interest in as well? I think she did a great job with the episode and i would be keen to hear more from her.

Casey, who is winning the NRL premiership?

Thankfully, NOT Melbourne or Brisbane.

Why did you stop converting Imperial units in metric ones? Can you please do it again?

I've noticed that Cassfile covers cases from countries where English isn't the dominant language relatively frequently. I love that you guys share these cases, as they often go unheard for English-speaking audiences. I'm wondering how does the Cassfile team manage language barriers in research? Also, does anyone on the team speak any other languages?

When is the last day to submit questions?

C
Casefile · September 6, 2026

Up until we record, but we don't know exactly when that will be. You will have another 48 hours from now, at the very least to submit something.

I found the Amerithrax case fascinating. Why did you decide to take on this case? Especially as it’s so different than your typical case.

I’ve been listening to Casefile for a year and just became a Patreon member. I love what you all are doing. No question, just appreciation of quality content.

1. Last December Spotify told me I had listened to CF so much that it equated to 180 days of non stop listening because I have it on all night under my pillow, my white true crime noise. Is it weird to you that people use your voice as a falling asleep tool? 2. Not a question but I want to thank you guys for always letting us know what happens to the animals where relevant. Toyah’s dog was a huge part of her story.

As bizarre as it might sound, in spite of these stories being about crime, they’re so well told and, in my opinion, the narrator’s voice is incredibly soothing. I actually listen to them in bed too they’ve somehow become part of my nightly routine for winding down and falling asleep. 😂

For episode 350- Was there any kind of investigation into Tony Broadwater’s alibi?
