This case highlighted how diaries and statistical rarity were used against Kathleen Folbigg, which were later undermined by science. A lot of weight was placed on Kathleen's apparent "coldness" or emotional reactions that were different from what society expects of a grieving mother. This got me thinking abou the Lucy Letby case, a British nurse recently convicted of murdering babies in the neonatal unit. Do you see any similarities between both cases, particularly with the use of statistics to build a case against them and the court's admission of private notes expressing guilt/self-blame?

I found this enraging to listen to. Kathleen experienced so much trauma, she was the parent doing to day in day out care work, exhausted, and all her worst moments were used as a judgment to “prove” her guilt, while it felt like Craig mostly slept through it! Do you think the case highlights how society views mothers? And the judgement we place on mothers who struggle at all.

Hi team, two general questions: How often will you start writing a case then put it down because it doesn’t feel right? And then often will you come back or it or if you do at all? Will there be anymore Crime Interrupted episodes? Thanks for all the work and dedication you put into Casefile, have been loving the recent episodes!

Did you guys anticipate how controversial this one would be? Did you handle anything about the writing differently because of it? Also it seems like people have really strong feelings about the experts in this case. I'm wondering if you guys did any background research into any of the experts to help you evaluate their claims and authority, and how much of that influenced your approach to the case. Have you done that with other experts in similar cases before? Or have there really been any similar cases before that you guys have covered? Did you guys feel satisfied with the resolution of this case? Did you end up with more of a "she definitely did it, thank goodness they let her out" feeling, or a "This was an injustice, no one wins," etc.?

I have a general question for the team: How is everyone doing? Good, I hope. There's been some complaining in the comments lately, mostly over silly stuff, but the rest of us appreciate all you do. Be well!
