Status Update_2018-05-02

Just a quick update on the coming version, I apologize because I missed my initial target window of getting the update complete by some time in April I haven't quite finished it yet. I can guarantee sending it out by this weekend.

As stated in a previous status update, where I made the mistake was creating an overly complicated menu system in March that I realized was too cumbersome to maintain for future updates. Since this is the foundation for the while system, I wanted to get this right and optimized so that I wasn't shooting myself in the foot and decided to scrap it to create a new system in a later update. I switched gears and started developing the new story content in April since I realized just having a sweetass menu but little content advancement would not be that great I changed my focus, so essentially this update only has a months work of content that was kept.

The menu system was pulled out on this update but be needed by the next update based on the type of content Lyla will be reaching.

Thank you again for anyone being understanding and patient while supporting me in developing this game :)
I really am giving it my all.

I was still a little bit late -__- but maybe just killed your excitement. I sent this release out to patrons first to help squash the bugs. I'll post the stable version for everyone once I get their feedback :)

Take your time and do it right! Changes to the fundamental stuff should usually be done as early as possible so that the disruption is minimized.

Thanks man, glad you understand that :)

Have you played factorio? Coding is a lot like factorio, you will do the same a lot over your development period, also when you have to turn your quick and dirty debug code into robust shipping code!

Hey Waffel, I used to play factorio. Been meaning to get back into it. Yeah I'm glad you understand that, since it was such an early start for the module, it was just better to pull it. The downside is lost time, especially when you're trying to keep "consistently" meaningful content updates
