Operation "Take Us Seriously" Part One ft. John Dolan
John Dolan aka The War Nerd joins Dan and Riley to talk about Canada's army - what does it do, what is it for, and what is it REALLY for? We go into the post-Cold War era, procurement shenanigans, and our obsession with "being taken seriously" as a real country. Therefore, we must build terrible ice breakers and have them patrol the Arctic in case someone invades?
In Part II (coming next month), we will be discussing the Trudeau era military and it's decision to procure the F35, arguably the world's greatest plane.

Banger, can't wait for part 2
All of you guys are great and I appreciate this cast. I hope you cover the place white supremacy, and other forms of racism (e.g. anti Russian) hold as regards the CF and larger Canadian foreign policy. I'm thinking specifically of the missions in Haiti, and the Ukraine. The steady revelations (yet soft treatment) of open white supremacy within the CF deserves discussion as well. I'm also curious about, and would be interested to hear, all of your opinions regarding what a different Canadian military (if you believe Canada should have one at all) would look like. If you have the inclination, could you consider Lt. General, Trevor Cadieu's ("rtd") presence in the Ukraine as well as the issue with his charges for alleged sexual assault. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/retired-lt-gen-trevor-cadieu-charged-with-two-counts-of-sexual-assault/ar-AAYvRrZ https://ucpbacalgary.ca/event/march-31-2016-one-canadians-experience-training-the-azov-batallion-to-nato-standards/
