Do you want more button mashing?

Looks like the reversal poll is basically locked in.

So here is a new one with something that got brought up a few times.

Currently, the game have a very generous button mashing during grabs: only one button pressed is needed every 0.5seconds to max the escape rate.

Some players indicates that they want more and more frequent button mashing. Does everyone agree?

Mixed opinion from me here: while adding a new pace of things does sound nice, I say for now keep default for the time for one huge excuse. Unless there's controller support, this could be a bit of a pain for the KB use if peeps don't have a good one.

Is it possible to have an in-game option between all three?

I think the required mashing speed should be a dynamic difficulty element. It would be cool if it can scale with player arousal, debuffs, and so on.

You can also have a switch or option to switch between those options

From the perspective of a player who has always enjoyed the struggle aspect in games of this type, rather than being dead-set on winning/completing them: I've found most of them to be too easy for peeps like me, for the sake of convenience. And while I undestand the need for some user friendliness, it also comes as a detriment to my enjoyment of the struggle itself. It needs to be difficult for me, I need to feel like I'm about to lose. But I've always been a big proponent of multiple difficulty modes, because trying to be selfish about it helps nobody. I think the lenient system should absolutely remain. But perhaps there should be one more difficulty mode, at the very least. One akin to HRT/SR, or your middle poll option. Heck, I've created an AutoHotkey script for some of your games, where my escape key inputs are sometimes "accidentally" ignored, to simulate being too overwhelmed. To get that sinking feeling of your progress bar pausing, or even going backwards for a bit. I enjoy unpredictability like that. Actually, will moves that actively combat your button mashing be back? Perhaps that behavior can be reserved for the higher difficulty as well. I loved the tug of war~ (Also, when I say difficulty, I don't just mean hard-coded enemies at the latter stages of the game. I mean a true game difficulty choice in the options menu.)

This is a good point. Usually the most common feedback I get is that "this is too hard" "AI unfair" etc but it's interesting to note that there are demands for the other direction too.

Only children make choices. I want them all.

Honestly the only thing I'd love is if the faster I press the button to escape, the faster I can get out. It makes for a good challenge but easier gameplay. But when my character is weaker then lower the cap of speed for button mashing. That would be lovely!

Similar to WWE games or DBZ type clashes or so... Heck even implementing a system where if we grab at the same time you button mash against the opponent!

Bit confused, I thought the rate was the same whether buttons were mashed or held down.

That can be changed if faster button mashing is implemented.
