Look, if I get killed in a car crash, I’ll call you ok

the cracker one, every time i come back and look at this it gets me. it reminds me so much of my babushka 💕 the lil *wiggle*
We are also the family with the Traffic Report Notifications who call each other to make sure we aren't the ones in the crash. Or it's just me and my mom. Because I have anxiety and might too.
thats so sweet tho.
The secret language is not much of a secret here in NYC.
I hope your parents love these comics; precious moments preserved! I love these so much.
I aspire to your dad lol "two crackers"
YESSSSSS I love the parent comics so much
Every one of these is a banger!
The Secret Language angle could work, though; emphasize to Mary that she must keep it secret and not show just anyone.
God, I love these little strips SO MUCH. Finding EIGHT new Kate Beaton strips in my inbox is like winning the lottery for me, except way better. Because of a.) no taxes, and b.) more Kate.
It's a Holiday Miracle!
Kate I love your portrayal of your parents so much, but ESPECIALLY your dad - he just seems like such a joy!
I saw that now in Thailand you can get squeezable tiny tubes of ketchup like you get applesauce for kids in North America. I thought your mom should know.
Oh my gosh my little one used to say "cause about" too! She doesn't say it anymore and we still do, haha.
Secret language. But not s̶̖̬̓͌̿̿̀͐̈́͝͝ẹ̵̡̦̝̝͉̽̑͆̇̆̅̕c̴̛̯̖̾͐̑͋͂̈́̈́̎̒͒̈r̷̢̧̞͈͕͙̤͈̙̝̣̘̱̺̍̀̿̌͜e̵̛̛̞̩͆̏̒̏̒̒̔͑́͝ẗ̷̝̠̩͉̈̄̅͜ͅ ̴̢̢̮̖͓̻̝͚͖̫̬̼͈̱͋̓͗͆̚͜l̴̢͈̪̤̗͔̣͈̘̼̳̭̍̄̐̔͌͒̚̕͜͝a̶̢̡̼̲̥̤̞͈͈͔̰͈̯̤͗͑̃ņ̴̡̧͕̫̩̗̖͚̬̼̖̯͌̓̄́g̷̢̛̛̠͉̖͈̺̫̳͐͆̀̓̃͐͛ͅu̷̞̻̠̺̕á̸̩̘̳̀̍̒̚g̴̢̧̬̠̣͎͖̙͈͉͎̤͠è̶̝͇̝̦̘̹͎̠̭̭̑̕.
Wow. You really *are* a Good Girl™! Most people would never make the promise to call their mom if they got killed in a car crash. The world doesn't deserve people like you. // (and while I'm here:) HAPPY FESTIVUS to one and all! May your Feats of Strength be extraordinary, and your Airing of Grievances truly righteous.
I told my 4yo he looked like Mystery Saja to try to convince him to agree to a haircut (he appreciated the reference but it did not work).
1. I first follow you on social media because the late Tom Spurgeon said that you were doing family journals on Twitter. (I think it was the winter holidays) Always happy to see new ones. 2. I remember you once apologized on here that you were "only" doing journal strips and I responded that that's what I assumed I'd be getting. 3. I am elderly and had no idea who "Mystery Saja" was. I am vaguely familiar with the Kpop Demon Hunters (in that I know they exist and are popular with the kids).
I am notorious within my own family for also being the tiny jar lady
Look, tiny jars are just objectively great! What else are we supposed to do?
It’s “Cousin Itt” with two t’s! Can’t even get your old person cultural references right, smdh
These are such a holiday treat ❤️
I get so excited anytime I see your dad's glasses and mustache in a comic, always my fav! Happy Holidays!
The cousin it thing was so real
When my 3.5 year old farts now he likes to yell, "SMELL THIS ROOM!"
I taught my kids to say "does it smell like popcorn in here"
I brushed up on K-pop Demon Hunters right before Halloween and the number of kids *delighted* I recognized them was so sweet. Also I love fart gun and the ketchup jar.
Trying to keep a straight face during fart gun lest you encourage it more!
Two - two
My daughter's first grade teacher calls the kids her Saja Boys. K Pop Demon Hunters had blessed me with half an hour of peace while my daughter sings the entire soundtrack during her bathtime.
Fart gun is funny, yes.
To be fair, Mystery Saja is pretty on point
