The conspiracy theory from my son's friends (some in the army) is that Zelenskiyy wants to prolong the war because he's terrified of what will happen at the end of the war, that he will be elected out and te new government will investigate him.

The firing of Federov is a real gut punch. I’ve been euphoric with optimism for the last couple of months with the competency and spectacular success of Federov in his job of Minister of Defense. Now I want to vomit 🤮 . Both sad and infuriated. Now I’m afraid and praying. 🙏🏼 🔱Slava Ukraini !🔱

Very disappointing news. Would hate to see all of Ukraine's gains undone by Zelensky's decision.

I don't think we need to worry. Zelensky is not getting corrupt, are saving corrupt people. He is a leader in war, with a population, especially the young, tired of old soviet system. Ukraine want to move west, move to stronger democracy. It take time. Dont loose power while doing it, just because young generation, want to move fast, with new modern technology. . Look at Hungary, even vance landet short before election. The said no, even the older. But all generations need to be on board. The young in Ukraine need to be patient. There time will come. As said before: Cool down. Ukraine will be prevail. Question now is : How will Russia fall apart. This is what puzzles me. Not when, it's about how. Slava Ukraine

In my opinion it seems that Ukraine has a relatively small window of opportunity to make significant gains regarding Crimea and the southern regions. Improvements to Russian drone technology may soon allow them to be much more effective in striking Ukrainian infrastructure and logistics. Autonomous technology, in particular, may allow their drones to overcome lack of StarLink for certain mission profiles. I wonder that China might be in a position to help them out with such capabilities as a way to provide valuable information concerning actual battlefield strategies and effectiveness of this type of drone as they prepare for an invasion of Taiwan. Changing ‘quarterbacks’ … (?) Changing ‘coaches’ … (?) Either way, this action could result in a serious setback for Ukraine… … and especially hurtful at this time … … as it appears to me that Ukrainian citizen’s expectations must be, and rightfully so, ‘riding very high’ with their country’s recent successes in Russia, Crimea, Sea of Azov and now the Black Sea.

If Zelenskyy doesn't protect the old generals, they might not protect him. They might coup him or let him get assassinated.

Hello there

Denys, you’re obviously upset, which you are allowed to be. But I don’t think it’s as bad as you think it might be. Ukraine does have old officiers trained “the Soviet way” , but many NATO countries came to help retrain your military into a more modern force (after Crimea) but some older officers are hard to change. Ukraine has done remarkably well and now has Russia on its heels. They have implemented an advanced database system that helps all commanders and the development and use of advanced technologies is the envy of the world. We will see what happens in the future, you’re allowed to worry ( it’s your country ) but too many changes when under invasion isn’t a viable or advisable option. So keep the faith, worry and complain ( Ukraine is a democracy ), but focus on its successes.
