Very Important Update

This update is unfortunately not a positive one, since it is announcing the hiatus of Chronos development. For a lot of reasons Chronos cannot continue being developed right now, with the biggest one being the massive changes that are happening in the Minecraft shader community. In order to explain that I need to provide context though.

The Iris shaders mod is using the same pipeline that previous mods used, and it is a very limiting pipeline. It is frustrating to work with and is part of why I take so long to release things, though it isn't the only reason. Because of how bad this pipeline is discussions have been being had for a while now towards a better more flexible pipeline, one that does not limit shader developers. This is finally in development by the devs of Iris, and it will be the mod that Chronos will be using.

This unfortunately necessitates a rewrite, which I am not in the mood to do. As such, my Patreon will likely be inactive for a while. I appreciate any donations people are willing to provide, but if you want something for that money you will not be getting anything for quite a while. I apologize for that.

I will not be making any promises on the features Chronos will have or anything of the sort when it finally releases, I have not started the rewrite and have not planned out anything just yet. I am currently working on misc projects unrelated to rendering, which will all be open source if they do ever see a release.
