Joining the chorus of pretty much everyone to say that I love theme park content ❤︎
Jenny's love for spiders and extreme disconnect with the general population's opinions on spiders is very adorable. If I knew a theme park had a spider-land, you would never see me step foot within a 100 miles of its entrance.
17:49 Crystal Palace!??? Styled after the historical London icon????
I was thinking about the team concept, and i think you'd also want to include a lot of catch-up mechanics in the system. After all, when pokemon go got huge, there just so happened to be a lot more people in the blue and red teams. That would naturally lead theme park buffs to coordinate and you'd get similar teams always winning. To combat that, maybe you could have a rubberband system where a point for [the team that has proportionally won the most] is worth a lot less than [team that has won the least, proportionally]. Espescially if merch is at stake people will get real frustrated if they can't get what they want because the rest of the park decided to be Evil Team this trip around... maybe the merch should still be avalible, just discounted for whatever team is in the lead? Ooh or you could have an "underdog" mechanic where the team that got the least points last day of operation is discounted or something? But yeah i just anticipate a lot of fistfights from Team Jock vs Team Evil in the merch shop
Ok I know this is an old video but I was just struck by the fact that, while marvel doesn't really work as a theme park IP, DC absolutely could, so here's my pitch Basically, it's Omegamart but it's the Hall of Justice (Or the BatCave and you're cowardly and think the Justice Leauge is too lame). Environmental storytelling where there's a mystery to be solved, and you can like break into various different superheroes quarters and snoop around in their stuff. This would absolutely work with actors playing the superheros that you have to 'play it cool' with or sneak around, but thats not absolutely necessary. This also works with expansion potential- DC has canonical teleportation gates, so you could add a Bat Cave expansion or a Fortress of Solitude expansion or (my personal favourite) a Watchtower Satilite expansion (with space windows!). I think also adding a "Little Themascyra" hub world would be very fun. Anyway whoever owns the DC theme park rights will never be cool enough to do this, but I think it would absolutely kill if they got their act together.
I’ve been saying for years that Disney should try to get Pokémon, and Avatar Land should be Pokémon land instead
revenge? im not gerard way, so i dont know anything about revenge. would ride.
Did the Barbie movie get scraped?
Wtf is peoples problem with theme content from you. You’re so gifted at talking about it and my fav theme park YouTuber. Please make more
I still want the epic universe video
Jenny’s theme park videos are some of my favorites, imo she can’t make too many of them
At the start of the the pokémon section i thought Jenny was gonna do a twist and pitch a digimon land lol
disney galaxy was the name of the disney theme park me and my sister made every summer for our barbie’s so unfortunately i do have to sue you for copyright infringement :/
36:12 Lol... "poach", cuz... cuz Pokémon? I get it :D
Ooh I would love more European theme park content, as I will probably never visit any in USA
I’m watching this long after it was posted, but I love that just a few days ago Universal confirmed Pokémon will be coming to international parks. Jenny totally called it :P
I'm terrified of spiders. I will be the first J-Nick investor. She trapped me in her web. I'm poisoned with fun. Love Great Wolf Spider Lodge.
I'm gonna hold your hand while I tell you this Jenny, there is literally no way on god's green earth that anyone would make a spider land. I think there are just too many people who are afraid of spiders. If they can make the perfect movie to gain fans, then maybe, but that would be a separate challenge...
My family was supposed to go to Epic Universe for Thanksgiving, but we realized that my dad hadn’t been to Universal or Islands of Adventure since we were little kids so we opted to do those instead. I think I want to go for my birthday in January instead. It really helps to live a few hours away and have an uncle who lives less than 15 minutes away.
My head SNAPPED up when I heard Dinotopia...oh Jenny PLEASE talk about Dinotopia sometime!
Always want more theme park content
You know what, theme parks should have giant chocolate dino eggs with some multicolour crunchy chocolate rice puffs and a dinosaur toy in them. I want one now. Less practically I want a giant dino cadbury-like egg filled with sweet goo with a little baby dino i have to wash goo off of. Mmm.
If Spider Jungle sounded like a great idea to anyone, please read Children of Time! Incredible book!
I, for one, am NOT tired of theme park content. Please keep telling us about your adventures and ideas! I would love to hear more about the theme parks you visited in France.
spider standup may be the highlight of this ramble
I would never set foot in a theme park myself, yet I have spent untold hours watching and re-watching your theme park videos in the past month! Watching someone talk about a passion of theirs can be really fun. I'm on tenterhooks wondering if there will ever be a part 5 to the Evermore saga; I suppose it depends on if there are enough new developments to justify it.
i honestly like those river bumper rides, but i swear the people who want to get splashed never get splashed, and the people who DONT want to get splashed ALWAYS get splashed
Laughing so fucking hard watching this and hearing your really indepth and coldly logic reasoning for things like merch and park engagement based on an understanding of the general population and current trends- then the first land is "the number one phobia people think they have inflated to nightmare proportions"
i love themepark videos!
Immediately starting off with spider jungle genuinely knocked the wind out of me and terrified me to my core
I hope you put your Epic hot takes in a vid!
Missed opportunity for a straight Kingdom Hearts park. You can stick any Disney IP in there you want and it fits perfectly. The central area is Traverse Town and each land you pass through a keyhole gate. This is my dream park lol
Color War: The Theme Park sounds amazing!!
I will never be sick of the theme park content, I adore it! I am avoiding epic universe spoilers until I can hopefully go next year, but I'd eagerly watch after my trip :)
spider land would be beautiful for arachnophobes
I like to rewatch the rambles while I'm working and this one is so charming and Jenny is so excited and lit up about it! Someone* fund her vision!!! *Not Ken Bretschneider
We spent 4 million dollars to buy this authentic Victorian giant spider. Knock on it, it's real- oh, you made it mad. Oh no.
I need you become a millionaire and open a theme park 😩
RIP to any arachnophobes who enter Jenny's park
A Dinotopia theme park would be amazing
Wandering the beautiful painterly environment of Dinotopia, buying bagels off a tricerotops, hearing the animatronic eggs peep before they hatch <3
jenny i like your theme park videos because they deprogram me from wanting to spend $6000 to get sat behind a pole and be mad about standing in lines all day
I think Harry Potter can be reskinned to Oz.
as a european who joined your patreon specifically for theme park content I am profoundly biased but very honest in saying that I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on ALL the theme parks
I feel like you don’t HAVE to post a preview of the video here…
Why does a real-life Pokémon Snap ride not exist yet? Holy cow that’s a great idea
I’m unable to use gifs to communicate my opinion of this video so I will use words. Jenny video nice good yay.
Someday I'll enjoy going to the Jenny Musuem and viewing all her cool pop plushies and gear
I love Aragog's glittering eyes in the darkness 🥰
LOVE theme park videos ALWAYS!!! also dang!! looked up the concept video of the rocking boat technology and its wild, I just went down a whole rabbit hole of new park tech
Great video, thanks! Completely unhinged!
This was so fun! Idk I'm definitely not sick of theme park videos I really like them! I am super curious about Epic Universe (especially the Dark Universe bits) and I'd love to see a Jenny video about it!
the only other “immersive” park I’d be SO down for is pokemon - i honestly can’t think of any other franchise that could be interpreted that way and work long term. Pokemarts, poke centers , the fashion pokemon shows, gym leaders, it’d be so good.
SiCk of theme park videos??! NEVER.
Would love an immersive wizard of oz & Wicked themed place. I would buy everything *.*
After watching a few videos about Epic Universe, one recurring theme is how miserably HOT it is visiting there. Your dome over a theme park idea sounds great, I just don't think it's feasible. More indoor dark rides would at least help, especially if the queue area is also indoors. For example Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run has a great queue area with the air conditioning blasting!
this is the first vid i see as a brand new patreon! a great one!! i love your theme park stuff
Just gotta say I will NEVER be sick of more Jenny theme park videos 💜💜💜
21.56 im beginning to suspect that the spiders may have infiltrated jennys mind. I the Notices huge spider sitting over her shoulder.. she’s going full spider in her park design. Things are adding up. jenny next video blink thrice if your in trouble and need spider related help.
I would never be mad about more Jenny content. But I’m also not mad about what we have now! So dealers choice! But we definitely want an epic vid!
I would love an Epic Universe video! I’m obsessed with theme parks though. I’m just so curious on how the concept of “immersive” parks work in reality. Also Lunar Cavern sounds sick lol ♥️
im so in love with spider jungle im losing my mind
Please please pretty please , can you do a video on your stay at the futuroscope/Disneyland Paris ? Was Disneyland Paris as awful as you thought it was going to be ? (You said it's known as the worst Disneyland park in the world) And was the bedroom in the futuroscope better than the star wars hôtel ? I wish i could have met you (and awkwardly say hello in english) , i hope you enjoyed your stay in France !
i never never never get sick of themepark content. please give us your epic video!
I never tire of your theme park videos!
the spider themed land is a more effective horror land for me than anything horror nights could ever hope to accomplish
Yeah no disrespect Jenny I know you love spiders but I would rather cut off a finger than spend a day in Spider Land :')
Jenny: IPs are limiting and should be more general so the parks can stay evergreen. Also Jenny: Pokemon
I think that Pokémon is better than a lot of IPs, like say, Disney movies, for theme park stuff because it's very much a franchise that thrives on player immersion more than its specific characters or stories.
I'm not a theme park person, but after watching this video (and I guess googling the theme park) I had an Amazon package come and the cardboard was just an ad for Epic Universe. I live in an apartment building with a package room and it was in a sea of plain Amazon boxes. I've never seen an Amazon box be ads for non-Amazon things before.
Still hoping for the furry vid! ;w;
Just in case you ever read this Jenny, I’m not caught up with all your patreon videos but I understand you like trees with faces, so I want to let you know there is a „sculpture park“ with many many of them in Freiburg, the bigger city next to Europa Park. It’s called „Skulpturenpfad WaldMenschen“: https://g.co/kgs/sKcVqj8 Maybe you can go there on your next visit, it’s very beautiful! :)
The last two times I have gone on trip you have dropped a video while I am gone (evermore and starcruiser) I’m going on a multi week vacation soon. If it happens again I will lose my shit. No pressure of rush at all, I just think it would be funny.
I want to see any and all videos! They don’t have to be long. You’re theme park content is always interesting
Yep! Me too! I do love the long videos, but I'll take anything!
Stegosaurus is like the one dinosaur that you physically couldn't ride.
put a seat right between the back plates and those provide extra security to keep kids from falling
I would love more theme park videos! I think you should totally use the second channel more.
i went to disney france as a kid and the whole park smelled like cigarette smoke. wonder if it's still the same
I would love more theme park content from you! I won't be able to go to epic universe for forever so I'd love an opinion from a creator I really enjoy listening to :)
what were the dress up plushies she was talking about zoomers liking? i am curious but all i heard was “nuemu bagoos”
Baggu - nylon crescent bags with thick straps. Zoomers like to customize with pins on the strap or bag charms Nuimos - overpriced little Disney plush that you could buy tiny streetwear to customize. They were cute but also a single tiny outfit was like $25 so they didn't really catch on. In the last year zoomers started wearing nuimos on their baggu straps by looping hair ties around their arms... But right at the time they became popular Disney happened to start retiring the line in favor of the next collectible plush (they do this every ~5 years) so this drove demand more and now resale nuimos have shot up massively in price
When we got to "selling everyone's personal data to a foreign government" by the 13 minute mark I felt very deeply that we were on an exciting path
I really wouldn’t mind an Epic Universe video. Granted, I love theme parks but I don’t like most theme park content because there is no point of view (there are exceptions, like Defunctland obviously). I don’t necessarily think there is an expectation for the next video to be super long. I will stop everything and watch anything anyway, but just putting it out there.
Also, super curious to see which French theme parks were visited. Spirou? Asterix? So tantalizing!
Could anybody hear the air conditioning before the 8min mark? I could not. I even tried it both on the built-in computer speaker (which has clearer vocal range) and a full dedicated stereo system (which has a lot more lower-mid-range and bass), and I still couldn't hear it at all. Jenny, I think you should leave the AC on and be comfortable. I don't think it affects the sound. Also, personally, I _like_ the "shorter" videos (i.e., 90min or less). The longer the video, the harder it is for me to find time to watch/listen. Heck, this one was short, and it still took me close to two weeks to find time to watch it. If it had been a 3hr video, I probably wouldn't have been able to do it tonight. Don't get me wrong; I love the deep dives and the details and rambling ideas; I just have trouble finding time to watch the longer ones. (I always manage eventually, though.) Jenny, if you're reading these, I didn't know you were a "Serendipity" fan! I collected _all_ the books growing up, though I'm sure they made more after I stopped. I even had the plush Serendipity. I couldn't find any on ebay, but I found one already-sold listing at etsy. According to the pinterest link, they had it priced at $200, but it looks like it was in brand-new condition, still had the tag, AND was signed by Stephen Cosgrove. Mine I assume is still in good shape, but not _that_ good; I used it for its intended purpose as a kid. (Oh, and that one says 1974 -- did they really make the plushes that early? I definitely got mine brand new in the early '80s.) https://www.etsy.com/listing/163543511/rare-rare-vintage-1974-serendipity-plush?show_sold_out_detail=1&ref=nla_listing_details
Lol at selling data to foreign governments
I think you should make videos about whatever you’re excited to videos about. That’s when you’re funniest!
it's such a thrill whenever Jenny gets a prompt where she has to design anything because you KNOW she will add an indoor tree area at some point and the only question is when
I LOVE HAPPY NESS! I watched the show on vhs and was obsessed.
I am rewatching and theres such charming foreshadowing when you chuckle and say how you will be doing "general la— well maybe not so general lands" compared to IP specific, knowing full well that later in the video you make a land entirely dedicated to spiders.
absolutely love every world except the one that triggers my stubborn arachnophobia HOWEVER I do think having something that can be fun and spider themed is a good way to a) give exposure therapy to people (like me) who love and respect spiders in theory but struggle around them in real life and b) young people who need not fall into the trap from the start! You could have a little spider exhibit that's like a bird show where experts bring out some cool spiders and tell you all about why they are so amazing and not actually scary!
Please keep doing theme park content! I dont care where they are. But I want to see them! They're my favorite videos of yours
the obvious solution is to make a spider-themed second channel
look I know everyone else is going for Pokémon Land but catch me as a 30 year old woman buying a day ticket to Disney Galaxy and spending all day at Dino Desert practically in tears from delight with no children and a big ol fossil hummus meal
also walk around character for Spiders Jungle: Georg
I am not sick of theme park content. Theme park content is all I waaaaant.
somewhere an imagineer is punching a wall in a derelict WED office because of that teams idea
I love theme park videos
obsessed with spider jungle need to go there so bad
Jenny I can promise you none of us are tired of theme park stuff lmfao
she can talk about pouring wet slop into a bucket for 4 hours and i would show up idc im here for her not the topics she covers
While I was watching the part where she describes the scary spider ride, a spider dropped down from the ceiling and into the bath with me.
Same
my personal theory on the reason they haven't done pokemon yet is just because since pokemon fans are insane (I'm pokemon fans) and also since it's so beloved you would end up disappointing a lot of people no matter what you did, since people would be really excited for like, a 1:1 recreation of the world with wild pokemon encounters included and battles like the anime and all that, and obviously you can't Do that. and tempering expectations is hard because again the anime has given us glimpses of what living in the pokemon world would actually look like. you could definitely make kids and general audiences really happy but planning out something for the Fan fans is probably really stressful
also because by now there are over 1000 different Pokemon and each one is someones favorite. Like, the main appeal of the franchise is that there is this insane amount of mons for you to chose your favorite mons and trin them, so most ppl will go to the Pokemon land to see their favorite Pokemon. But it's just impossible to have all of them in one land
as someone with arachnophobia…. my ass will not be a spider jungle 🫣🫣
Have to end my patreonship rn bc of the economy but I have loved the rambles and watched every single one!! I love your energy and critical thought thank you so much!!
If Jenny happens to see this: I gifted a patreon sub intented for this person :3 or whoever needs it!
I was JUST thinking about how the kid I nanny is going on a cruise this summer that ships out of Florida, and has absolutely zero interest in going to Disney World. To get him to go to a theme park it would for sure need to be gamified. He wouldn't care about prizes, points, unlocking, arbitrary status symbols to collect, stress over, and show off are where it's at. A roblox game but in real life park
he will be 9 in november
I near about lost it when jenny dropped the name for ‘spider jungle’
Pokemon and Dinotopia are definitely the most obvious go-to franchises for a theme park. Both have the benefit of being fantasy worlds with immersive settings. Plus Dinotopia could fill the niche that Jurassic Park fails to fill by depicting Dinosaurs as actual animals instead of just monsters. (Jurassic Park/World is all “tell” and not “show” in that regard. The movies never animate the dinosaurs in ways that make them feel like real creatures to me.)
I care more about theme parks than i did before i started watching your videos lol. It doesn't get old. The only reason i wish you wouldn't talk about theme parks is because I can't afford them and yet im dangerously close to wanting to go to them
I am not tired of theme park stuff
Omg I went to Epic in June too I wonder if I was there at the same time as Jenny
Team names I'm thinking: Scoundrels Mystics Valiants Aaaaand a fourth one. Maybe Scholars, so you have Mystics that are about experiences and wisdom and Scholars that are about lore and collecting. They need to be super self explanatory though. Really there needs to be some kind two-axis alignment for a four faction system I think.
Okay, five pointed star split down the middle, order on one side, chaos on the other, one point is balanced -- that's the theme park crystal pavilion faction. The other four are in competition. Maybe some kind of physical/mental divide -- animal/spirit or carnal/psyche or something. If you really wanted to go nuts with aspects you could have each point of the star be the balance between two other forces and compsed of two others-- oh dammit I just reinvented magic the gathering's color pie.
Second channel is a great idea. Takes the pressure off hopefully
Sick of you doing theme park stuff?!
jenny if you decided to do ONLY videos on theme parks i would love it - your insights are amazing any time you talk about parks 🥰
The dinosaur land sounds amazing and I really love that idea. I know The Good Dinosaur was kind of so-so for Disney, but my kid adored it when she was a toddler so I have seen it many times. The music and backgrounds are so lovely, though the dinosaurs themselves kind of felt too cartoonish in comparison. But I was an avid reader of Dinotopia as a kid and am currently following Dimension 20's Cloudward Ho series which has a "lost world" kind of place with dinosaurs and humans and other beings and it's just delightful. So yes to the dinosaurs!
I’m absolutely in love with the concept of a spider park section that absolutely cuts out an entire customer base of arachnophobes (including a large section of Children)
not just that but literally LEADING with it like she explicates all of Epic Universe's flaws quite eloquently, gives a good description with citations of how her hub universe and theming would work, and then hits us with this I Think You Should Leave level idea for an all-ages modular theme park
What I'm learning from this is that Jenny should be the chief Imagineer for any hypothetical Pokemon theme park
Oh jenny i hate to tell you this but disney absolutely has already sold that park data to 3rd parties.
I love when the chosen topic lets Evil Jenny run free for a bit to create this wonderful theme park.
Did you just finish a book called Children of Time? No relation at all to the Spider land
Not about this video specifically, but I just finished a book called Murder Land, and you're included in the acknowledgements! "My love for theme parks, like my love of YA thrillers, is built upon the incredible creators who've made some unforgettable content. So thank you to Jenny Nicholson, Kevin Perjurer, and all the creators who make theme park content that has delighted and informed me for years. I wouldn't know what I know, have the passion I have, without you. To the real life GooseBeary [a missing anamatronic in the book], Buzzy of Disney World, rest in peace."
They should call the store Obscure Shirt and the “r” could flicker during HHN
YES
The guest that purchased the least food/merch each day gets banned for life. :)
Like in Shirley Jackson's The Lottery.
I would honestly love to see a shorter main channel video on epic universe, I miss getting to see videos there
I wonder if Disney could get the rights for a Ghibli theme park in the US--but I'm also afraid Disney would cheap out and make a sad park.
Honestly, seeing the US's shift to more practical screen-based attractions vs the gorgeous animatronics you see in nearly every other country would not give me hope it wouldn't be the themepark equivalent of that sad Glasgow Willy Wonka experience.
wild coincidence but I was on a hunt literally last month to find a tiny dragon figurine I got from a toy set as a kid that would occasionally haunt me as an adult because I loved it so much but my parents donated all of my toys at some point, and my friend looked hard and FOUND IT it was from Starcastles anyway it's wild this came up here I would absolutely spend so much time in that part of the park
I would really love a 3x per day performance of the Lizzie McGuire Movie finale song in the drippy crystal cavern.
i have straight up debilitating arachnophobia. i think the spider cabaret and jumping ride would really help me work on my fears but spider's revenge would immediately undo all of it so i can say it would be a really unique experience ig
(Your app buzzes, with a message from CHARLENE, Spider Jungle's non-copyright-infringing chatbot avatar) CHARLENE: Hello, Isabella...we were all so excited to see you coming to Spider Jungle! I understand if you're anxious, so I've arranged for your team to get an extra 5 MILLIOIN POINTS, just for riding all the way through Spiders' Revenge. In fact, I made a special point to weave a new cover for the comfiest seat in my parlor, so you could sit down and stay a while. I know it's a big ask, but here in Spider Jungle we go the extra mile..,.I know my mother gave up all she had to make sure I had everything I needed to grow up big and strong, and I intend to do the same for my babies... if you could visit me this afternoon, it would help a lot!
Regarding "I don't know if it would still be relevant" ... presumably you understand that there's a chunk of us who don't watch theme park content in GENERAL, or Star Wars content in GENERAL (because so much of it is trash of course, and there's so many hours in a day), but we will invest in watching content from a creator we know / like / trust / Patreon / (etc). I haven't watched too much Epic Universe content (beyond shorts) because I don't care what 99% of the people out there have to say about it (or anything really), but I'll watch a Jenny-take, because, well, that's what I signed up for. Literally. I know we're never going to be as large as the general audience, but I'll bet we're big enough to justify at least a half-produced effort.
I'm fairly ambivalent about the whole "second channel" thing that's become increasingly popular on YouTube. I think they make sense for people who have consistent release dates for their main, like every Thursday at 2pm or something. For them, it's a way to put out other random content intermittently while keeping to their regular predictable schedule. As far as length or quality goes, I'm skeptical that you could make a sub-45 minute video regardless of the topic, and you certainly couldn't make one of low quality. You've just got too much interesting stuff to say, and a whole lot of practice doing it.
Love your videos so much! 😍 I wish I could go to theme parks like u and make videos. Maybe once I have some more money i will😅
I’d pay $6,000 for an immersive hotel experience assembling Samsung Galaxy phones under the rule of my spider overlords
good news! you wont need to pay
I wish Jenny was able to talk about vintage toys more often! She mentioned so many niche toy lines that made my ears perk up as a vintage toy collector. I knew she loves my little pony so it makes sense her love extends to similar whimsical toy lines.
You resurfaced that Serendipity book from the spiderwebs of my brain! When I was small I liked that she grew up to be gentle *and* the biggest and most powerful *and* remained cute and pink.
This is a bit random but does anyone know why the Hallmark creepy cocktails video isn't included in Jenny's patreon? It's my favorite video and I watch it every time I'm having anxiety (like right now lol) and I wish I could watch it without an ad playing at the end and jolting me. Anyone have info on that?
I don't think main channel videos are usually on the Patreon (not counting previews which aren't the same thing).
more theme park content yayayayayayayyyyyyy!!!!
Omg I HAVE that Starcastle! The first one that was shown. I've kept it for the past like 25 years
the problem with your universal spies idea is that pokemon would have no problem accepting a lazy theme park idea to make money
Bomberman theme park where the entire layout is a grid and you have to blast through like 60 "bricks" to get where you want, which are just doors that wait on you to plant a "bomb" on it with your phone's app and the "fuse" is always 3 seconds.
Small, picky thing I wanted to mention: Pokemon is owned by three different companies (Nintendo, GameFreak, and Creatures Inc.), and The Pokemon Company (also owned by those three companies) oversees all the licensing and such, and they would be the ones to decide anything about a Pokemon theme park, not GameFreak, who is pretty much only responsible for the main games. Also, Bomberman is not owned by Nintendo in any capacity.
You gotta let the imagineers know before they start putting Jenny’s plan in action
I was annoyed at first that this is just Jenny Fantasy booking a theme park. That being said, I’d probably go to this theme park, so I really can’t complain. I’d side with the spiders.
Jenny, I love your theme park content, and like many others here, we are inspired by the knowledge, detail, humor and insight you use to talk about theme parks and attractions. Please know that many of us share your deep enthusiasm and passion for this stuff, and we delight in your moments of theme park indulgence. Keep it coming!
Indoor theme park reminds me of Galaxy Land at West Edmonton Mall. Always a childhood favourite.
Q: Why did the Edmonton man go to hospital? A: He had a grand-mall seizure!
Every newly revealed section of the park was my favorite section of the park. But of course Pokémon was always going to win lol
If the movies had made “All the avengers live together in the Stark/Avengers tower and they each have training spaces and they’re all friends” canon, like every fanfic writer wanted, then That could be your Marvel-themed land …. But alas.
Also wild to me that those Zelda stained glass are like. Based on the Twilight Princess concept art Specifically. I know that game is still beloved but dang it’s almost 20 years old!!!
Love it!!!!! PLEASE give us a ramble about your epic universe thoughts
Jenny I have one serious criticism of your park. WHERE IS THE CENTRAL TALKING TREE WITH YOUR FACE ON IT
So cute and fun!
I was cracking up the whole time thinking about Josh D'amaro announcing "a new immersive spider experience" and lunar fairies with no IP to be seen--oh, except we also bought pokemon. It would be the ultimate power move. The lunar land reminded me of the space castle in Droomvlucht at Efteling. Basically this is just Droomvlucht 2.0 which would make this probably the best theme park land on earth.
The concern about IP losing relevancy makes sense, but I think they picked the right franchises. Even if HTTYD becomes less popular, it's still a dragon themed land which is cool, I feel like you can enjoy that without knowing the characters. Dark universe is just about monsters, can easily be updated if needed. And then Mario losing relevancy is pretty unlikely
I was thinking the same thing. It’s like how a lot of Disney IP still work as rides and in terms of theming (Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, etc) despite those movies being as old as they are.
Love that Jennie's first pitch was Spiders Everywhere
Epic universe vlog???
I hope there's a Spider Simon Bolivar and a Spider Thomas Sankara
spider John Brown walkaround character
WE ARE NOT TIRED OF THEME PARK VIDEOS. Hi :) I've never commented before, but, I love your content. I, personally, would love MORE theme park content! Please and thank you 😌
Wow there's so many comments on this thread. But yeah I agree with this statement. I personally would *love* more theme park commentary because, you are so real with your reviews and give consumers actual information, so we can determine whether it's worth it for us to go or not. But also, just kinda hilarious delivery of content is great too.
no specific IP based park but also pokemon land?? LOLL
also like others are saying ur good with the theme park content. like i know next to nothing about theme parks but i dont mind because everything you talk about is new to me. and also you make topics interesting with your humor and perspective anyways so :D
Regarding the idea for a train ride where you go past dinos: it's not theme park level but a zoo in Michigan for whatever reason has a dinosaur section and you can take a little train to go on a little ride among the large dinosaur statues
Quick correction: The Pokemon Company is actually the one who owns Pokemon. But at the same time, Nintendo has a majority stake in that company so it’s basically their company only they have slightly less control than they do over IPs like Zelda. In any case I actually think that Nintendo is the one holding them back. That could have done a Mario world years ago but it seems like just recently they got into that. It wouldn’t shock me if there’s some sort of Pokémon park coming, at least in Japan, in the next 10 years.
i love how jenny integrated a full indoor *spider* forest land in this one. the concept just keeps getting grander the indoor forest lore will never be stopped
Crystal pavillons are also suspiciously well suited to indoor outdoor spaces...
There actually are pretty credible rumors that Universal is using the area where the Spider Man ride in Japan was for a new Pokemon ride. Same rumors are pointing towards Simpsons in Orlando being rethemed entirely to Pokemon once that license runs out (and probably the same in Hollywood.)
Spent an inordinate amount of time checking to see how blue Jenny's mouth was gonna get. I'm very excited about the Barbie video dropping soon! Thanks jenny for confusing everyone in my family. This will be the nth time I've said "well I'm not really into the subject matter per se, but Jenny is the best!" I've been gifted so much star wars stuff that I just think of it as jenny merch now.
Theme park content, disclaimer content, spider content, blue drink content, anti-water content. It all works!
An immersive Bugsnax theme park would be fun (though most kids probably aren't as obsessed with it as my kids are). The spider jungle made me think of Daddy Cake Legs
I love the theme park content!!
never worry about making too much theme park content, theme park content is why a lot of of us are here! Maybe make a bonus video just for Patreon now with your thoughts on universal, and then release it on the main channel a couple days after the Barbie video
I was sold by the definitely non-trademark-infringing Dinotopia themed land. I want a Dinotopia land SO BADLY. And I, for one, am ALWAYS delighted by theme park content! I would love more!
Despite all their missteps, it definitely feels like Disney at least understands that you can make a bunch of money and also get a bunch of small but sizeable fan groups very excited by making merch for fans of older or more obscure IPs. So many of these huge media conglomerates are sitting on tons of properties that are still beloved by their fans but never do anything with them because they're not the biggest thing in the world.
I feel like the pokemon go-style teams would have to be assigned randomly. Otherwise a bunch of people who wanted to win so they could buy exclusive merch would get on discord and agree to all be one team that day, and it wouldn't be fun for casual visitors who had no hope of winning because they didn't know what was going on and didn't sign up to the winning team. Otherwise that idea sounds rad, I would totally go.
As long as the merch sells!
Disney not getting theme park rights to Nintendo will always baffle me. Nintendo is basically the Disney of video games. People have compared Shigeru Miyamoto to Walt Disney.
Personally I think spider are cool, but on a marketing stand of view your are already losing anyone who doesn't like bug and spider and other creepy crawlies. I feel like that could be a sub-area of the adventure section. Its got a horror vibe and is pitched as the place only the most courageous park guests will dare go to.
For the love of God, let the spiders tap dance
also i would looooooove a pokemon theme park!!! thats such a great idea
honestly with what jenny was explaining in the beginning of how IP themed parks need distinct locations, i feel like a percy jackson theme park would be awesome cus u could do camp halfblood, with all the cabins and the big house and strawberry fields, etc
you lost me at spider jungle, most kids hate spiders. should be bears or something more cute imo
idk. some little boys in particular (generalizing horribly here, obv certain girls do to) do like bugs, gross stuff, and 'scary' stuff. Makes more sense to make it generally bug-themed rather than just spiders, and maybe add some gross ooze and boogers, but I can see it being massively appealing to an aged 4-9 demographic.
I appreciate your inclusion of crystals and space themeing in your concept. Crystals are just perfect for immersive vibes but its rare to find them in theme parks. The crystals would look so cool at night with color changing internal lighting. Also there should be a really big fountain made up of crystals.
I am NEVER sick of theme park content, I was ecstatic to see the title of this month's video
came here to comment exactly that
I will say with not having Spirit the horse merch is a bad move on their part because a lot of people think that horse is hot
Loved this video and would also LOVE and support a second channel. Obviously, if we’re here on the Patreon we’re prime second-channel targets lol
I love the Donkey Kong hat! It's sort of like a Donkey Kong/turd hybrid.
I cannot express to you quite how funny it is for you to go so *instantly* corporate evil
It's fantastic, isn't it? There are two sides to Jenny: soft-spoken My Little Pony Loving gal, and ruthless end-stage Capitalist Dark Lord, it's glorious.
BIG SPIDER
I will never complain about more theme park content.
I can envision people getting way too into that team system haha
Jenny we all know that's methylene blue, NOT sonic blue drink
Please don't worry about people being sick of theme park content. I bet a ton of your audience would be thrilled if you did ONLY theme park content :P If you love what you do we'll love it too! <3
WILD MANES DREAMER SPOTTED <3
Thanks for the ramble, Jenny!! It's really interesting that Universal don't seem to be capitalising on their back catalogue effectively when there's so much generational affection for some of those old films/series, and it's a strategy that seems to have worked so well for Disney. Even just at the level of stocking merch! P.S. I got "Epic Universe" and "Dark Universe" confused before watching and was thinking "how on earth would they make a theme park of that?", felt pretty foolish when I realised my mistake, only to now discover that... they are?? Fascinated to see how that shakes out.
The teams and points concept could really be gamified. 1) Use multipliers for crowd management, like giving less-busy segments of the park a bonus for the next 2 hours. 2) Have achievements that give bonus points by doing activities in different categories. Some would be more or less automatic (ride any 3 attractions, or buy 3 types of merch) but some would require a bit of planning (ride 3 specific attractions that are nowhere near each other so you have to visit different lands) and some would be impossible in a single day like riding EVERY attraction (in a land or the whole park) to encourage longer trips and return trips. 3) Leaderboard. In addition to the winning team having colours, the app can tell you who on your team has collected the most points. If you're not sure what you want to do next, why not go for the biggest points and climb the board? And maybe the top X people get like a unique effect on the photos they purchase.
4) Lowest-scoring team must spend the night in Spiders Georg Jungle, not optional
Was the blue soda as good as you remembered it 🤔
The agenda for a full spider land surrounded by people movers is almost to fruition my liege (also i'm sorry you seem to have had a terrible experience at Epic - I hope you get another chance to go and have a better time)
Excited for the barbie video! I'd also be down for hot takes on epic universe. I'd particularly want to know your thoughts on the "dark universe", is that what it's called? The land with the monsters
So, one of the four themes you think is gonna always appeal to amusement park goers, particularly those with small children, is the idea of getting eaten by giant spiders?
Jenny, no one is sick of your theme park content. Whether you do a five minute or a five hour video on theme parks, I would watch it. Multiple times.
I'm really looking forward to hearing about the Futuroscope. It's all screen-based, with a very strange theme, but maybe it has improved since the last time I went.
I am never sick of theme park content.
O shit they got the Yoshi ride!?
I raise you Epic Doll Universe! 1) Barbie World: Fairytopia garden and flight ride (has special location snack called Bibble Bites), Mermaidia water park, Magic of pegasus dumbo ride, Barbie Malibu Main Street 2) Monster High + Ever After High dark fantasy park: dark rides, circus/magic acts, corrupted castle haunted houses, gothic fairytale ball dance show 3) American Girl: living history park like colonial Williamsburg, travel through history by visiting the historical girls neighborhoods or family homes, authentic cuisine restaurants or food halls 4) Polly Pocket Pollyworld & Rocket Plaza: has the Rock 'n Roller Coaster park (coaster and thrills amusement park with giant ferris wheel, rockstar themed) and an og Pollypocket lego-like section for little kids, scenery construction to look like og polly pockets, and Rocket Plaza as the spa, mall, hotel, and houses the nightly rock concert.
Using a points system to gamify your park activities feels sinister mostly because of how absolutely effective I know it would be on me, I would be hitting every kiddy coaster for a point boost whenever my friends inevitably started scouring gift shops. Oh no they're going to assign points to hitting the shops, dang it
Disney has missed out on the criminally underserved spider-loving demographic for too long.
Maybe after the barbie video is done, you can try creating your ideal barbie universe theme park for a video!
Just saying Mermaidia would slap
I always love your theme park content! Did you get the monster make over at epic universe?
It's impossible to say if Jenny is or isn't at Epic Universe at any given moment.
Schrödinger's Jenny: it's both
I think instead of a spider ventriloquist you should have a spider with a marionette but the strings are spider silk.
You could have actual silks extending from the ceiling down to the armrests, which the stage performer could "pull" on to lead the audience through wave-style choreography.
Would love an epic universe video!
omg a dinotopia reference??? my childhood fave mini series & movie???
This feels like maybe an okay place to say, has anyone else seen all the stuff about the upcoming immersive sleep no more style Phantom of the Opera reimagining? it feels very up Jenny & her patreons alleys
32 minutes in and only just noticed the giant spider.
i would love an epic universe video personally, i'm dying for more good vids about the park (and theme parks in general tbh). even if it were a more lowkey ramble style video, i really enjoy hearing your perspective on these topics and think it'd be worthwhile
I had some Moondreamer dolls as a kid! We had Crystal (?), Whimsy, and Bucky. They glowed in the dark. I can still remember how Bucky's metallic jumpsuit felt. I haven't thought of those dolls in years.
Is it an algorithm thing for why you curate your main channel videos so specifically and avoid posting smaller videos when it's 'due' for a bigger video, or is it just a pressure situation? Maybe you can do a "ramble"-type disclaimer on the title of the videos that you feel are not reflective of the effort you want to put on your main channel. I know nothing about the YouTube algorithm but I understand the appeal of a second channel to keep the pressure off. Anyway your rambles and your videos are always a fun time! I hope having a Patreon helps relieve some of the pressure for your videos on YouTube. :) I'm looking forward to the Barbie video but I'm loving the monthly rambles in the meantime!
Second comment but I am going to agree with the masses here and say I also love the theme park content.
Those river rafting rides are so dangerous that I cannot believe so many major parks still have them. I am a good swimmer and I loved them as a kid (I got up at 7 AM at California Adventure to ride theirs multiple times) but I don’t think I would ever ride one again.
I agree with Jenny that second channel creep is a trap. Even this channel had content creep; i think it's just the law of passionate creators! But at the same time, extra content is always fun to watch lol, I'm not an unbiased observer
But The Cooler Jenny is basically already the lower-effort second channel and I love when she uploads to it!
The idea about the icon changing color depending on which team is winning is, genuinely, such a fantastic idea. Imagine an entire theme park’s worth of people cheering and reacting to the color change. Or you’re in an indoor queue and can hear the people outside in an uproar, and you have no idea who’s now in the lead until you’re through with the ride. A+.
Like I’m almost mad now because I know this amazing idea exists but realistically it will never happen Edit: IMAGINE IF YOUR MAGIC BAND STARTED GLOWING IF YOU, PERSONALLY, BROUGHT YOUR TEAM INTO THE LEAD. I’m just getting progressively amped for how much potential this imaginary concept has
We love your theme park stuff!
Sorry, as a professional archaeologist I'm afraid it's in my contract that I have to point out that it would be a paleontologist excavating a fossil pita chip. Archaeologists are only for human stuff!
https://youtu.be/zcLNS3dG1vk?si=XNQ_uh6PfWtfYzEl&t=3439
Jenny any chance we will get a TikTok video about how Universal wronged you? Or maybe that's what the second channel could be used for?
Sadly, the idea of Game Freak being offered an insultingly lazy take on pokemon and not immediately taking it is the most unrealistic part of the video 😔
does this video contain a lot of epic universe spoilers besides what we already know about the park? i’m going in a month so i want to know if i should wait until i go to watch this! :)
Nope, I didn’t feel like it was very spoiler-y!
i really wanted a smash cut to Jenny's mouth covered in blue
Will there be a route to bypass the spider jungle?
Phenomenal video! I always love any spider content even if its only a small portion of the video 🕷❤
Immersive franchise theme parks being a fad certainly is a hot take, but you might be right. I was thinking about that in regards to the new Dragons theme park. It's a very merch-friendly franchise and it's a fantasy setting that makes for a cool park, so I see why they chose it. Buuuut, is it going to have the staying power? Is Universal/DreamWorks going to push more Dragons movies and shows to keep the franchise in the public eye? They do have the live-action remakes, but those don't have the same aesthetic so it's not fully there.
I'd love to see a video on Epic Universe!
I do think that the official name for the dinosaur park should just be dinotopia. I want to go to dinotopia very bad
If somebody didn't want to go I'd think something was wrong with them
Please second channel! I’d also love a bonus vid 🩷
I'm at the Spider Jungle part of the video and it feels like Jenny is actually building the theme park on Ghorman to commemorate Andor Season 2.
Lol, I kept imagining Jenny doing the Krennic "sPidErS"
I accidentally signed up for the recommend a ramble topic tier at a weird time and missed being added to a group to submit an idea. Can I cash in that idea to humbly beseech you to consider the EPIC universe video for the main channel? You even have the drama of the mysterious way they kind of screwed you over… 15 million views… I can see it now…
Unrelated to Epic if you want to message my profile a topic idea I can add it to the July poll!
WE'RE NOT SICK OF THEME PARK CONTENT WE'RE NEVER SICK OF IT!!
A couple times when you were tilting your head back I thought donkey Kong blinked at me
I love all your theme park videos, I can't believe people get tired of hearing you talk about them
there was a moment there where I was like, "wait ... will all of these lands be spider-themed" cowboy spiders ... space spiders ...
I hate those mechanical arm rides. I get really dizzy.
I need to go on that spider revenge ride so bad it's crazy.
i started watching this from my bed because i was folding clothes but my chair head was immediately in front of the screen in a way that perfectly made ONLY the donkey kong hat visible to me. i've been laughing for 5 minutes over this. suddenly the video became "donkey kong puppeteer designs a new disney theme park to defeat epic universe"
Omg I rewatched it with Jenny censored out and it's uncanny - DK moves with her head movement so it really looks like DK is telling us about his theme park trip
im so into the lunar caverns vibe, i would commit heinous acts for in-universe moon creature merch
I cracked up so hard at the first mention of the spider jungle <3 makes me think of the evan hansen saw trap <3
Jenny’s reaction on the Yoshi ride was the same as me and my sisters
Yayyy donkey kong hat ☺️❤️
Jenny: A theme park has to be themed around something people like, especially kids Jenny: So the first theme is giant spiders who have already taken human lives
Kids like it!
Just wanted to add that I am one of the people who loves your theme park stuff and could never get tired of hearing you talk about it!
I would love to see those theme park videos. They’re so fun to watch. 😭💖
Jenny really said Pokémon Go to my theme park
adding another installment to one of my favorite ramble video themes: using increasingly unethical revenue streams to fund better and better theme parks
Aw hell, let’s get the U.S. military in on this one too!
JENNY I LOVE YOUR HAT
Don-🗣️ key-🗣️ Kong🗣️🍌
I WILL NEVER BE SICK OF THEME PARK CONTENT
isn't this the 2nd channel in a way tho
there's a real fine line between friendly competition and those people body checking each other in front of a freshly stacked Standly Cup display..
You mean the NHL?
Jenny did you see the Disneyland 70th ornament vault collection? There's a nonzero chance they used your likeness as a reference for the Adventureland skipper lol
I absolutely LOVE your theme park content!
I know my comment is but a drop in the bucket, but your theme park stuff is what drew me to your channel/Patreon page, and I always get so excited when I see another video on theme parks! (Seeing the notification for this pop up while I was at work helped me get through the rest of the shift, lol) Seeing Starcastle mentioned woke up a DEEP memory from childhood that I had forgotten about, wow
Of course we want an epic universe video!!! I'll never get tired of theme parks!
Spider Family Robinson
i LOVE stegosauruses!
Pleaasseee epic universe video!
Would love to see the epic universe content
I would love more theme park videos!
I swear if I wasn't attached to my own ramble topic suggestion I'd ask for a tour of Jenny's hats. Every new video or pic she posts has a new amazing hat and I'd love to see her collection! Also her theme park sounds amazing especially the dome. No more letting the weather ruin your day that alone is worth the price of admission :D
What was your topic suggestion?
Release the theme park content
+1 to the enthusiasm for more theme park videos! If it's something you're excited about, I'd love to hear your formal or informal take.
What do you MEAN people are tired of your theme park stuff??? And you need to drop a behemoth??? Girl no, we're thankful for any and everything you bestow upon us! I'd love a new theme park video. Or something else entirely. Something short or long- I don't care, as long as you are safe, happy and content. <3
I forgot that my user name is....that..... Please lower the perceived aggression by like, 90%
The dino land sounds so fun Jenny you are literally on to something with these concepts...
Are you planning on doing any content about your Efteling visit? Even if it’s vlog format I’d still love to hear your take on it!
I would love to do a main video about efteling! Right now I worry that the video wouldn't have much of a "hook" and am trying to think of a stronger angle than "hear about this theme park." I think europa park is ahead of it in the queue (even though I went to efteling first) because so much of it is "bizarro disneyland" which seems more general-interest to me
Maybe I love researching theme parks, but I have no idea why people would get sick of you talking about theme parks. I can listen to you talk about them endlessly.
Would love to see videos on both Epic Universe and the French theme parks! I will personally watch them whether they are on patreon or on youtube!!
i await the upcoming sonic-themed land in disney world
I've watched the Starcruiser vlogs so many times that I'd be happy with just the raw footage of any theme park trips!
I have not thought about the Serendipity books in forever, and now you've given me such nostalgia for them!
we are NEVER sick of theme park videos!!!!!
The part with the spider jungle having their own little civilization and their houses and buildings being adapted to spider use is exactly what happens in Adrian Tschaikowsky's Children of time, great sci-fi trilogy. If it ever gets a live action (or even animated) adaptation, it could also work as a theme park for it, lol.
As a tarantula keeper, I appreciate spider adventure land
Please do a main video on epic universe! I know a few people who have stated they’d like your take on it! Me included!
Jenny loves spiders so much she's blind to the fact that so many people are anti-spider that they would never even set foot in a spider jungle theme park land let alone ride a ride with scary spiders jumping out at you
I was just smiling shaking my head at that part, I couldn't tell if she was serious or being silly.
Curious if Jenny stopped at Puy du Fou on the France trip, I was trying to decide if it was worth it for my own upcoming European theme park trip. Would love to hear from anyone who’s gone
She did! She posted pics from there on Twitter
WRONG i could never be sick of themepark content
Donkey Kong hat might be top 5 hats you've worn. It really fits your head/face shape, like it was made specifically for you to wear
I haven’t figured out everything I would exactly want in my theme park, but I do want it to have its own master-planned community like Celebration.
THAT is a topic worth exploring!
I love that Jenny is so innovative and forward thinking! Disney needs to hire her to advise them on how best to sell customer data to foreign governments!
I heard that there was no data being sold to foreign governments, and Walt Disney died of natural causes -- there was no plan for cryogenic preservation like that one guy was into...they never even met, in fact.
Also, something easier than a 2nd channel might be just uploading clips as Shorts on the main channel or on a TikTok (or both). You have so many good snippable jokes in even your most informal/ramble videos, and posting them as shorts allows for really shareable content to keep going up on the main channel while also advertising during the big YT video gaps that cool stuff is available on Patreon. I know some longform paid creators (like Dropout) have had a lot of success with that since their quips get posted as shorts and make the rounds.
Always love a mention of our lovely friend Serendipity
I hope we get something on Great America since it will be shutting down soon. My aunt used to work for Marriots, who used to own the park, so we would go often. That was back when they had looney toons characters walking the park. When Parmount bought it, they had the Wayne's World car and even characters from Star Trek walking the park. Great memories.
Would absolutely love to see a video about your French theme park trip, wherever it ends up getting posted!
I had a feeling she might want to make a YouTube video about it so when I submitted the topic I asked her to use my backup if a Patreon video would interfere with that. I’ll do the same thing next month so we’ll know by whether it’s in the poll what she’s decided to do about using her second YouTube channel. Hopefully wearing the Donkey Kong hat will help her make a decision. It always worked for Woodrow Wilson.
At london zoo they have a room full of free roaming spiders you can walk through, in spider jungle you should have a bunch of these around the park with different levels of scariness and the super scary one should be a dimly lit cave full of realistic anomatronics of deadly spiders and massive scary ones like the bird eating spider but it doesn't say they're anomatronics before you go in and they have effects that make it feel like they're climbing up your leg and stuff and if you go through all the spider rooms you get a pin that says I survived spider dungeon or something
A dinosaur park would be really popular. Every kid in the world goes through a dinosaur phase which starts the moment they first learn about dinosaurs.
I like the dragon and guy on it that soars out over the audience to thrilling music and just kind of stays there. Church of the Rock could take notes.
I’m building Mammal Savanna to compete with Dino Desert. After a few million years I think I’ll win.
Were the star castles the ones where the castle tower was a tea pot and the turret were removable tea cups? Or were those a different 80s/90s thing?
One of them was like that! I had a handful as a kid and I confess have collected a couple more as an adult. I think their aesthetic is so peak
Starting strong with the spider's revenge
The problem with seeding discord with the Pokémon pitch to poach it for Disney is that, unlike Harry Potter, Pokémon is not in the death grip of a creator with a terminal persecution complex who is 0.5 seconds from crashing out at all times.
in my head, the mascot walk around characters in spider jungle look like the spider undead from kamen rider blade which i find quite a handsome bipedal spider dude https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/dd/2f/dd/dd2fdda0c647a4fc40afcfda123d4f4c.jpg
I can’t imagine ever being tired of theme park content, I love your other content but I found you through your theme park content and it’s still my fav of yours 🥲💛
I historically had zero interest in theme parks but Jenny's enthusiasm and lore-knowledge is what makes her theme park videos my favourites
When thinking about an IP Disney could use to tie together four random themed worlds - my mind went right to Kingdom hearts. It will never happen and would be a huge failure - but can you imagine a people mover system where all the cars are poorly designed gummy ships? That alone would make it worth it to me.
I wore a Kingdom Hearts t-shirt to Disneyland recently, and four different people (including a ride operator) stopped me during my visit to comment on it. The appetite is there! Let your heart be your (large plastic) guiding key!
We love the theme park videos! If you wanted to do a short one after your Barbie video I think it’d be great! Also maybe a nice way to decompress from your bigger projects
(another pokemon comment, sorry. you might notice that this is my special interest.) fun fact: the Game Corner was removed from pokemon games because regulatory agencies thought it promoted gambling, and didn't want that in a kid's game. which is hilarious in hindsight when you consider the amount of gambling apps that streamers push on kids now lmao
the pokemon attraction with the pokemon getting scarier as you go deeper into the forest made me think of the recent Legends Arceus game, where there really are big scary pokemon with red eyes that try to murder you. that sounds too scary for a regular theme park ride, but maybe that could be the halloween version of the attraction. (note: i demand that this includes gigantic animatronic pokemon that roar loudly and look like they're moving towards you, traumatizing teenagers for life)
They have nuimos on their baggus has major curtains for zoosha and batboy energy for me. I thought I was with it because I knew about the labubus.
I can't imagine a Jenny Nicholson watcher being tired of theme park content
My favorite part of this is that it's all indoors! You're so right, Florida is barely hospitable to people as it is, it's going to be impossible to enjoy it's theme parks in the future for the majority of the year. I saw giant sun shades in Shanghai parks recently, I wish we could even get those! I'm going to visit Epic in December with my son, I'm so excited!
Entertainment establishments being mainly indoors may just be how it goes in the future. My biggest fear with that would be that public parks would take the same route and corporations that own indoor theme parks will try to buy all the public parks and charge $75.89 to visit them.
Jenny would have loved Circus Circus Adventure Dome from the 90s and early 2000s. Super themed and indoors.
It's so hard to think of anyone going to Jenny's channel being like "Too much theme park content!!!"
I want to take my kids to your park—I think they’d love it
i think that a reasonable chunk of your following (myself included) aren’t necessarily theme park buffs and don’t really get any theme park content elsewhere, so you making an epic worlds video or doing a ramble on action park is still quite novel and fun for us
That Pokémon Snap ride is basically what is rumored to take over Men in Black at some point! Would be funny to see Disney poach it.
It better not. I'll be so sad the day they close MiB. I'd prefer it if Pokemon takes over something else.
Just reading the title of the ramble O realize that I need a pitch for a Jenny curated Theme Park based on Youtube
For the record, I would totally be down for a main channel Epic Universe video and am not at all sick of theme park content.
same, i’m not even a theme park buff but i always enjoy when jenny covers them
inb4 ken brettschneider sues universal for copyright infringement of evermore's portals, despite the fact that evermore no longer exists
Please do a main channel Epic Universe video!! The more theme park content the merrier 🤍✨🥹
The spider concept is so funny! People would be having mental breakdowns on the scary spider ride!
I love the idea of spiders choosing to murder humans yet use their devices like cash registers lol
What a birthday gift thanks! 🤠
Happy birthday!
I feel like Dragon Ball could support an immersive theme park. The rides would be obvious and there are plenty of distinct locations
Have I got news for you: https://www.themeparx.com/dragon-ball-theme-park/
Gnarly 🤙
The longer the spider idea is going on, the harder Im laughing
Okay now I need to know all about these Happy Ness toys
This part is insane. I just re-watched that show for the first time in ages this week.
You had me at Spider Jungle
The hat is really doing the most and I'm very here for it
I want a ride in Spider Jungle that's similar to the Ratatouille ride where we're shrunk down to the size of a spider, and people keep trying to scoop us up with a cup and a paper and take us out of the house. It'll really add some comedic continuity to the spider stand-up routine.
Sick of theme park content? Never!!!
busted out laughing at the idea of Disney selling their data to the highest foreign entity bidder, I genuinely couldn’t tell if that was satire or just you inadvertently predicting a very plausible future for the company as you’ve done numerous times before.
¿Por qué no los dos?
i would personally love another themepark vid or whatever kind of vid you decide to make! if you have ever given any thought to going to Dollywood i would watch that too
I would love love love an epic centric video and if YouTube algo doesn’t like it then Patreon exclusive would be great
Jenny. You don't understand. Your theme park videos are my absolute favorite ones. I will never get sick of your theme park videos. Post as many as you want.
Too much theme park content? That's like saying you can have too much 'b-tching about Star Wars' content. You'd have to put out ... like 4 hours of content a day. Ok, maybe 5.
Jenny dear, anything will do for main channel at this point, go ahead and do the quick epic universe video if that's what's on your mind. Barbie video has been in the work for years? A couple more months won't hurt
Watching this waiting for a plush forest mention
Just wanted to point on the "expansion plot" point, Epic Universe actually has a ton of room to expand, enough room to expand Mario, Dark Universe, Harry Potter. While also having room to create two brand new portals, with one plot of land being a bigger footprint than any of the current worlds. Check out this video from Theme Park Spot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdbLw3oWKR0
Was Toothless supposed to stop like that? The music fade out and lights coming on is killing me
Well in fairness, that dragon was properly trained to hover
That rider should be ready for that now, with fill-in dialogue about "That's it, boy! Catch the thermal...just hover....PERFECT!"
Jenny going full evil Mode selling everyone's data Also, if someone wants a reusable magic band, they can pay extra once and then they "save" money the next time
I wish I was at Epic Universe instead of my Epic Fail of a job!
Please know that no one is sick of your theme park videos. :)
it's extremely funny to say "I'm avoiding all possible spoilers" and then immediately cut to ride footage. You may be avoiding spoilers but we are NOT. (light-hearted)
Spoiler warnings for me but not for thee
Who’s sick of theme park content!? It keeps winning polls!
i love your theme park stuff! do all the theme park stuff! it clearly brings you so much joy which makes the videos so good
I hope you decide to do a video about epic universe. I don't really have the opportunities to go to theme parks so I like to live vicariously through your videos 😃
Same!
YEA
hehegegeg
I just wanted the first comment
