August Ramble Voting
A lot of topics this month! And a lot of responsibility......
As always, you may vote for as many topics as you like! The topic with the highest total number of votes wins.
(And the forthcoming winner of the last poll was "allegories for prejudice in children’s media"!)

How about a ramble about the Disney Channel in the early 2000s?
I need someone to bring back the option for Jenny having to watch videos of old and abandoned animatronics 🤣
YAAS it comes back around occasionally, I hope it never fades away entirely
I hope we get another Let's Play video soon, I really enjoyed the Nancy Drew train game and the game excerpts in the VPD video
Hey Jenny, if you’re reading the comments, can I put in a plea for an Evermore post mortem? A lot happened right after Ghosts, and your Evermore groupies crave more data 🙏
Regarding Evil - I just read on FB (not entirely reliable) that Stephen King wants an Evil Revival. Me too. I want to learn more about the baby.
I’m devastated that cryptids aren’t higher in the vote. Like Rey, I’m trying to have hope, but I’m feeling more like a very big man … with a robotic brain. 😭
Have you ever been to Oregon’s Enchanted Forest? It’s one of my local theme parks and it is a true “themed park” with all kinds of cool fairytale-themed animatronics and installations. It’s a small family owned business that managed to survive lockdown and I have plans to go back in the spring season.
There's also one in British Columbia.
FISH FISH FISH
So Cannon shlock is of the table then?
Do you think one day Jenny's just going to surprise us with a Jenny University bonus episode just because at this point it deserves a chance?
As a long-time Jenny U booster I hope she doesn't. Let us win legitimately.
Unless something is offensive, insulting(racist, misogynistic, transphobic, etc.), or what have you, taste is entirely subjective.
Always going to pull for Jenny U. Fan encounters would be a great and useful conversation
Five Nights at Freddy's!!! You suggested this once and I still think you would make such an excellent take on this
i would love to see jenny's fave glup shittos as a poll topic one day 😭
Alright, I have to know... glup shittos?
I'm surprised there aren't any on D23, I was excited to hear her takes tbh
I'm definitely most sold on Jenny's commentary over favourite dark rides, but I see that it's not in the running for top pick (closer than some others though). It's probably my favourite type of extra Jenny content. I really enjoy just watching her talk about stuff she really likes that I'm not that familiar with.
bad fan encounters is such a good one, i hope it comes back
fish will win someday..
I'm gonna be honest, the fish enthusiasts in the comments won a vote from me. Good work, fishheads
The problem with tier ranking fish is it’s too exclusionary. What about dolphins? What about octopi? What about seaweed? It should include all marine life, not just fish. If they make that change it has a good chance of moving up from 13th place to 12th place next month.
I am glued to this poll; incredible how websites & media literacy have been neck and neck the whole time within tens of votes
I think it's interesting seeing the ratio of votes to number of comments I see about a particular topic. Like August/Betty/Cardigan never gets more than 2% of votes, but it always has so many people in the comments gunning for it 😂
FISH FISH FISH FISH
i say we coordinate voting blocks now, i think mlp/virtual pets has a chance to win and get into the margin of victory (can you tell ive been keeping up with the election) if we move votes from music artists or jenny university or even tier ranking fish, come on people
Considering that the winner last month was something relatively open-ended (there's a lotta kids media out there), really hoping that a more niche one takes it this time 🙏
It's Neopets' month, folks. I can feel it. Can you feel it? Also it saddens me to see no horse girl topics this month, MLP aside. Neighver give up, horse folks!
Maybe not the horse girl topic you had in mind but I will resubmit Fly Away Home next month if the topic I submitted this month wins :)
Media literacy one seems like a tricky topic. Like, you can’t mechanically consume the right media. Taste and analysis skills develop over time.
I think I’d be interested if it were like ‘Jenny’s list of movies/books/shows that shaped how she approaches media criticism’ or something, but yeah as written it kinda comes off as a plea for instructions on How To Enjoy Good Art
I’m always surprised Jenny University doesn’t score higher. Unless it’s just a general distaste for ivory towered intelligentsia.
For me, it's because I have no idea what a video like that would look like, and whatever I end up imagining is kind of boring.
Cryptids are only losing cuz they’re destined for October, I just know it.
I really hope you’re right!🤞
i need the movie one, booktuber jenny or playing a spooky game ill lose my mind if it ends up any of those
🥇🐟🥈🐠🥉🐡
The bronze medal fish looks like it’s going to eat the silver medal fish and the silver medal fish looks like it’s going to eat the gold medal fish. This is the way to advance in rank on a Klingon ship.
okay but a list of movies jenny considers essential for media literacy sounds really exciting to me, as a film head. it sounds really daunting, though. i honestly never thought there would be a problem with it. i should have known that the top comment was going to somehow be negative!
comments section doesn't reflect voting patterns. people tend to comment when their preferred topic is behind. leading topics are cast as inconvenient to Jenny or even a moral wrong.
Damn, I'm sad that the "looking at abandoned animatronics" one neither won last time nor came back this time (though I DO like the topic that won).
It will be back for the poll in October so people can give Jenny a nice spooky topic if they want to vote for it then!
I get that a list of important movies from Jenny could be interesting but it definitely seems weird and gatekeepy that there is a list of movies you have to watch otherwise you can't understand themes and story. It just seems like a completely wrongheaded premise/prompt is winning.
Jenny never struck me as a gatekeeper, even for topics that I know nothing about. My guess is Jenny probably won't discuss movies like The Godfather or Citizen Kane.
Bring back Nancy Drew!
Ohh the dark ride one seems really interesting
Pony people, this is our month.
I'm begging for MLP hot takes
Please do a video about the Castello di Amorosa!!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castello_di_Amorosa Soooooo much to unpack about this castle and its owner... And about the Disney+ 2022 fantasy series The Quest that was filmed there https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Quest_(2022_TV_series)
You are so right Jenny would rock this!!
We need a “Jenny’s choice” month where she picks from the list because there’s too many incredibly good topics that have been on there for months and I wonder if there’s any she’d want to explore!
She did a Jenny's choice, although I don't remember what Jenny's choice was.
Tier Ranking Fish, I will never abandon you
THE MEDIA LITERACY ONE IS GENIUS
The People demand FISH! **pounds table**
it’s been years patrons. PLEASE PLEAAAASE VOTE FOR BETTY AUGUST AND CARDIGAN
Can someone explain for me what this topic means lol
If you ever do the fish tier ranking PLEASE RANK THE GIANT OARFISH. It's one of the best fish ever
wow you are so right i just looked it up and it’s HUGE and BEAUTIFUL
Jenny LeClue sounds like peak Jenny
lol, the ones I like are at the bottom. I'm still not giving up on Jenny U. I need to know where to submit my application.
Selfishly voting for the fan encounters video. Getting to meet you and yms at Anthrocon was a highlight of my weekend :]
What if I just roasted you specifically the whole time
These are great options!
Not sure if this suggestion will be unpopular, but I kind of wish that Jenny just had voting narrow down the topics to like a top 3 or something and then she could just pick from there. I feel like there have been a lot of times when something has won that she's mentioned she doesn't have material for, and while it is always entertaining, idk, I wonder if we miss out on hearing Jenny talk about topics that she may be more excited about? Also it may mean that some of the more obscure topics get picked. But who knows. May be that'd come with its own problems and this way is easier. Regardless, will be interested to see what gets voted for on a pretty eclectic list!
How about March Madness brackets? That would bring more excitement to the process. There would be thrilling upsets! As it is it’s obvious what’s going to win before most people see the post.
It’s a horse race between essential movies and defunct websites with a pony making a move on the inside rail!
Templeton is to Charlotte what Mercutio was to Romeo. Given more plot latitude, they both could have hijacked the whole show.
One day we will get the chaos garden virtual mascot video we just have to be patient
I’m based and folklore-pilled and will forever be voting for August/betty/ cardigan.
I trust Jenny to make a great video about any of these topics, but can't we just have something fun this time?
folklore mentioned ....
Idk who keeps submitting tier ranking fish but I'm on your side 🎣
One concern that I think it's important to share with featuring charmingly outdated websites is that with the size of your fan base, a lot of those old sites might not be capable of handling the traffic and might end up being taken offline as a result. I don't want to bad mouth anybody's idea and I would enjoy seeing it, but I'm concerned about what effect it could have.
:( That's a really good point, and I think I may remove my vote for it.
Animal Crossing and Chao Garden my beloveds I’m literally still active on Neopets although my original account from 2000 that’s username was my full legal name and birthdate got purged.
What are we even doing if we can’t get the cryptids video!? 🥲
ponies im begging
One day cryptid ranking...one day
I love the show Evil. It is soooo good!! Very meta.
I really like that show too and would love to here her take.
shoutout to my fellow peeps who are still voting for jenny university
It's wild to be here so early. 20 minutes have passed since the poll was posted and the frontrunner (Websites) already has 314 votes, 26 ahead of second place (MLP Takes with 288 votes). Meanwhile last place is held by the Folklore ABC topic at 52 votes. Once more, August slipped away...
jenny university truthers stay strong!!! 🙏🏼
I only watched one season of Evil but now that you bring it up I am curious what Jenny would have to say, there were some weird choices to unpack.
MLP or virtual companions is all i want pls (i always vote for the taylor swift related ones knowing they wont win :(( tho )
Living for the hope of it all...
i would love booktuber jenny, especially if she dressed up like a stereotypical bookworm from a 90s cartoon during it
PONIES HAS A CHANCE!!!!!! RISE UP NEEEIIIGGHH!!! 🐎✨️🧚🏻♀️🐎
Please folks - can we have a couple months to focus on something non-Disney? PLEASE please <3 I love Jenny's takes there, I just need a little break.
What I'm hearing is it's Pony time
THE MLP ONE HAS A SHOT SO FAR LETS GOOOO
One of the top tier ramblings when it comes to choices
One day Tier Ranking Fish Nation will rise up
Linnaeus did this in the 18th century.
I can't wait for Jenny University month!! Won't be this month but I can't wait!!
Pony takes! Pony takes! Pony takes!
My fave part of any Jenny ramble is her talking us through a dark ride. Hollywood Tour still haunts me
