Jenny plans a day at a Disney park for her worst enemy

Needing something about an hour or so long to watch, I decided to fire up this one from 2 years ago that I haven't watched yet, since I only joined the Patreon a little under a year ago. My partner and I are east coasters and therefore WDW goers. Last year, she and I went to California Adventure and Disneyland for our first time ever, I am so happy we did, because if not, I don't think we would have understood just how true everything that Jenny's worst enemy was going through is. I felt like Han Solo talking about the Force in Ep VII. Great video, also loved the secondary ramble at the end.

I love this short story about the most unfortunate person on earth

m

I'm glad you put us in the roll of the worst enemy, I felt immersed in the experience as I was overheating in real life trying to take out all these blackberry bushes in all my protective gear while hearing about how I was also really hot waiting in line in the baking sun in toon town where nobody would sell me a drink because I didn't book an online reservation-order

K
Kate · May 11, 2026

Do you have a video on how to have the best day? Like the best rides, best meals, when to plan meal times, how to know if it's worth waiting for a ride, what to do if there's a long line somewhere, etc. Edit: I don't know why I'm asking because I live in South Africa and we don't have theme parks really and I am on disability benefits - it's not like I could afford it anyway lmao But I am just curious and I like your videos. You're clearly an expert on the topic of theme parks.

I like to picture Eugene Mulvehill as your worst enemy. It helps me not feel sad for someone experiencing the kind of day you described, because he probably does deserve to have that kind of day.

T
Tayen · November 7, 2025

My husband was shouting and throwing our arms up in frustration all throughout this, like we were watching a sports game. Is this enemy a moron??? Why were they wearing JEANS in July, in SoCal?? You were very kind with getting your enemy through security smoothly in the morning. Also, the way I screamed in horror about the churro and the sticky goo dripping everywhere! Finally, very charitable not having your enemy run into midnight construction on the 5 going home, while they have to pee. Oh, and everyone is correct: Disneyland Paris is the absolute worst. We live here and have annual passes.

Why did I end up feeling sad for this fictional worst enemy by the end

T
The Latter Day Autist · January 1, 2026

I would feel bad for that person too. Finding out that Jenny's hates you would be like finding out Jesus doesn't love you. Jesus loves everybody and Jenny seems like someone who doesn't hate anybody. I think I'd prefer to find out that Jesus doesn't love me. If he exists, then I'll have infinite time to win him over.

The last time I went to Disney was for my daughter's third birthday, and we all got norovirus 😭 ugh it was so bad. Also i was expecting jenny to have us be in line for a ride and for it to shut down. This happened to me on Indiana Jones and the rise of the resistance (twice!)

Ж
Жирафовое Варенье · January 2, 2025

The one time I went to disney was not good at all, in fact it was a lot like that 😭 It was in Paris too, so I guess I now know that's just how that park is lmao Two separate times we stood in a really long line only for the attraction to just break right before we were supposed to go in?? So we only ended up going on a couple rides (which were admittedly really cool). It rained for a really long time, it was super crowded, my little sister was really upset. She's also really scared of people in mascot suits and that didn't help 😭 But the park was really beautiful and I'm still glad I had an opportunity to go at all. I got a really cute baby Groot plushie of incredible quality, I have him next to my bed all the time<3

I'm really surprised there was no vomiting whatsoever. My worst day would 100% include them throwing up and/or being thrown up on

P
Pterranodon · March 14, 2025

While I feel like for maximum damage she made it purely "your" / Disneyland's fault to make it more fair, and vomit would've considered an "act of God" out of your control. ... But at the same time it felt there was a moment where, needing rest your arms, you set your pendulous Ironman Thanos glove down. And upon picking it up, you discover you accidentally set it down in some kid's melted ice cream slurry. .. And make it an Orange Julius to add insult to injury

I feel stress at the idea of optimising an expensive daytrip to a crowded attraction lest you ruin the experience on a deep and visceral level lol

When I lived in SoCal (20 minutes away from Anaheim) we never went on the 4th of July. We had year passes and would sometimes just go a random Tuesday evening to see a parade and fireworks and would go random weekend for a day but never on a holiday/blackout day

R
Renaud · August 31, 2024

My most annoying Disneyland experience happened on July 11, 1999. The US Women had just won the soccer World Cup at the Rose Bowl and were coming to Disneyland for a celebration. We arrived a few hours early and camped next to a rope fence that surrounded the event area... prime location. A few minutes before the start, a flock of Disney suits arrived and stood directly in front of us on the other side of the rope, blocking our view. Appeal to cast members provided no relief. They just gave a knowing shrug.

S

K

This was made so much worse by the fact that you gave us the benefit of the doubt for everything… like we still got on rides, but everything in between was just sad and made me feel like “why did I come here today?” 😂 I had gotten way too into character by the middle of the video and when I had to take my Darth Vader funny Mickey ears off I felt the sting so much. I felt so foolish for being Jenny’s enemy.

S
Spliffy · August 19, 2024

Lol I'm at 19 minutes and this is just a normal day at Disney, isn't it? Throw in a couple of 6-to-8-year-olds who ABSOLUTELY MUST meet and have photos taken with every single character no matter how long the lines (and they whine the entire time you're waiting but still insist on waiting) and also beg for expensive food items that they then refuse to eat. Now we're talking.

K
Katrina Gluch · August 16, 2024

my worst park day irl was on a school trip when I was dumped in hollywood studios at rope drop after waking up at 3am for a flight and told to come back at park close. the great movie ride wasnt even open that day. i took a nap in one of the restaurant booths

M
Markus D · August 10, 2024

I haven't had much experience with theme parks for the last... at least 15 years, but the thought of waiting longer than 20 minutes for a ride feels insane to me.

D
DLKWolf · August 23, 2024

I grew up on six flags and family couldn't afford flash passes so I got used to the 1-2 hour waits. Also went to Disney every other year, but family was somewhat unfamiliar with the fast pass system. I come to the parks as an adult, and the reduced waiting times with lightning lane are so great that it's hard for me to go back.

My family's first and only day in Magic Kingdom was overshadowed by 3 hours of torrential downpours practically locking us into the waiting area of the PhilharMagic or whatever it was called across from Small World. They closed nearly everything because people were blocking emergency exits to try and get out of the rain, so they couldn't even run the indoor attractions.

I got curious about the thunder mountain railroad thing, and I think I found what your friend saw! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pupo4faLnU is it here, on the ceiling at 3:35? If not there, maybe it could have been another area that had similar access grates? If that is what it was, I think they might be a fire safety thing, so that exiting passengers don't have to go through an exiting plume of smoke in an emergency, maybe?

Slooooowly working my way through the content, here and elsewhere, trying to savour it but failing pretty badly because I can easily binge it. Just wanted to say that I would watch a mainstream, late night talk show hosted by Jenny 5 nights a week. No doubt she can, and should, get behind the camera someday and make some great things. But I would love to see more of her in front of the camera. I have never been to Disney parks, nor any parks except Canada's Wonderland, and Star Wars is the only Star Wars movie I revere, and I have almost zero, maybe 2%, intersection with her other interests. But she makes them wonderful to engage with, which is one helluva skill.

B
BLCK RBBT · July 27, 2024

I think I've possibly cracked the case on the Big Thunder Mountain scary tunnel situation (at least for what your friend saw). The tunnel is lined in sheet metal. You can see that in this video at 5:14: https://youtu.be/XgYCOQVZB0I?si=i9SJIHm2CYTnVaDg However, I think they also have strange purple lights inside the tunnel. They look to maybe be mining lanterns and they don't seem to emit much light. They also don't seem to be turned on all the time because they aren't in every video I've seen. The clearest shot of them I've seen is at 2:07 of this video: https://youtu.be/bVP82m5KdDY?si=cWdxlm-Ph6usOCAw They can also be seen at 2:05 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8kqTqmHo5Y Maybe they reflect weirdly off the sheet metal in real life.

B
BLCK RBBT · July 27, 2024

That freaky Big Thunder Mountain experience has given me a newfound fear of that ride lmao. I didn't know about the accident until now. I guess I gotta look out for the shimmery sheet metal next time I'm on it!

B
BLCK RBBT · July 27, 2024

I had a look through video footage of Big Thunder Mountain to see if there's anything that could have explained the shimmers at least. There is a tunnel before the dynamite goat with a sharp incline (which I believe is where the accident took place). At 5:14 in this POV video (https://youtu.be/XgYCOQVZB0I?si=i9SJIHm2CYTnVaDg), you can see sheet metal lining the walls. I suppose sunlight hitting the sheet metal could have caused some dazzling lights. Also, your friend may just have better low-light vision!

J
Joah Woodward · July 22, 2024

I visited from out of state on 4th of July this year and the crowdedness is kind of overblown. It was definitely busy and crazy around the fireworks, but with Genie+ and park hoppers we casually strolled in like 10 mins after rope drop, rode Space Mountain, Star Tours, Teacups, Mr Toad's, Indy, Pirates, headed to DCA for lunch at Lamplighter then rode Incredicoaster, the swings, Soarin', Incredicoaster again, went to dinner at the Grand Californian pool bar, then Guardians and Monster's Inc. Headed back over to DL and the number of people camped out for fireworks even outside the gate was intense. Thanks to hardworking CMs doing crowd control we made it to Rivers of America and caught the end of Fantasmic and then watched the fireworks from there. Trying to get anywhere afterwards was obviously chaos and we had FPs for BTMRR but it was down so we rode Start Tours again to kill some time before we headed back to the hotel for the night. And this was with Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and Pooh all being closed, and Space Mountain, BTMRR, and Incredicoaster all having hours of downtime throughout the day.

D
David A Behlman · July 20, 2024

A little knowledge goes a long way. I think too much research can loop back around to creating too much expectation. Knowing how the best "go with the flow" takes a little experience. One time I was right next to a couple of short little old ladies who had waited a long time for fireworks. A giant crowd had formed that you could barely move in. As soon as the lights went down for fireworks to start, the dad in front of them put his daughter on his shoulders, fully blocking their view and they had no hopes of getting another good view that late. They asked if he could put her down and he just told them "it is what it is."

I feel like we learned a little about the nature of Jenny’s social anxiety in this one with all the silent judgment in those Disneyland visit encounters. It’s very, very relatable.

V
Vincent · July 7, 2024

Kinda surprised Jenny didn't say the quiet part out loud at the end as a shocking, twist reveal: "I'M not your worst enemy, Disney is. "This is just a normal day at the park. If you show up, foolishly, without some kind of itinerary, or downloaded app, or hours of your life spent planning out the perfect day, this is what your Disneyland experience will look like, you fool. "Honestly, what does it say about Disney and their current park experience when spending a day there makes you think that it sure would be nice if that Iron Man Infinity Gauntlet you were lugging around all day, smacking children with, were real, and you could pull it out and snap your fingers and make half the people disappear? But you can't, because it's not real... And the infinity stones are a hundred dollars each." Mic drop. Home girl is obviously still upset about the pole at the Star Wars hotel. As she should be. As we should be!

J

I felt like things started truly getting evil around the 30 minute mark. I literally gasped like "oh no! we're gonna miss the fireworks after all that!D:" but IT WAS EVEN WORSE THAN THAT. (Yeah the edible hit while watching this video)

J
Jorts · July 6, 2024

This plan is just so...understated in its torture. You could have made worse things happen, as you said about acts of God or missing the fireworks entirely. But this is so much eviller, somehow. And all those just uncomfortable, embarassing scenes rather than something more conventionally terrible (someone steals your wallet or you sprain your ankle) you chose to have these viscerally awkward scenarios and it's just horrible. Well done!

J
Jorts · July 6, 2024

Just as viruses cannot evolve to become too deadly--lest it risk extinction-- so too did Jenny not make the day too miserable, lest the enemy just decide to call it a day and leave early. Maximum psychological damage is done when instead of cutting your losses and heading home early, you stay the entire day and keep trying to salvage the rest of the day. Only to fail repeatedly and end on a miserable note. Beautifully cruel!!

It's interesting that going to Disneyland on the 4th sounds like a bad idea. A few years ago, my family attended King's Island on the 4th, and it was actually really nice! The park was pretty empty; so it was easy to get on rides. We figured that the 4th was a low-attendance day as most people spend the holiday at family BBQ's and firework shows. I guess Disney is different though? Or maybe it's a Midwest v West Coast thing?

Absolutely genius to remove acts of god and intragroup conflict from the equation, it makes this day feel so much more diabolically *plausible*. All of the mistakes made in this scenario feel horribly like something I'd do, so sadly this video proves that I should steer clear of Disney for the foreseeable future... Bonus fun story: I had one chance to go to Disney World with family around 2011, but I turned it down because my then-girlfriend wanted to go to a big local concert happening at the same time (nobody in my family liked her so she wasn't added to the invite :P) That relationship is long over now, and seeing how inhospitable Disney parks have become since then, a tiny part of me wishes I chose the mouse over the girl, ha

M
Megan Fraedrich · July 4, 2024

I had a day with this energy back in 2015, but weirdly it ended up being one of my happiest memories. My family went to Disney World on New Year's Eve (to see the fireworks!!) and we hadn't been to Disney World in many years, so we didn't know how a lot of things had changed there. We certainly didn't know that you could book restaurants in advance, so we kept bumbling into table-service restaurants and being told there was no seating because we didn't have reservations. We had planned to be in Epcot in the morning and then go over to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks, but early in the day, they announced that Magic Kingdom was full and nobody else could go over there for the day. We had FastPasses for some of the silliest rides: Test Track, Finding Nemo, and Journey into Imagination with Figment. We also did Spaceship Earth with a ludicrously long wait and the ride malfunctioned. The park was absolutely packed and everyone was already finding spots for the fireworks to camp out at at like 2 PM. My parents and grandma decided to go back to our campsite at Fort Wilderness while my siblings and I decided to take the boat over to Hollywood Studios because it was the only park that wasn't full. Hollywood Studios was weird at the time because they hadn't built Toy Story Land or Star Wars Land yet and there wasn't much to do. We waited in line for over 2 hours for Tower of Terror and then ended up watching those dancing Christmas lights in Streets of America (RIP) and singing and dancing along with them, which we actually all loved and had a fantastic time. At this point, our moods were brightened. We randomly had steak for dinner at the ABC Commissary at like 9 PM and kept laughing about getting steak from a fast food place. The Rock n Roller Coaster had like a 3 hour wait (so we'd miss the fireworks if we went on it) and we asked the ride attendant if the single rider line was shorter and she just handed us all free FastPasses and told us to hop in the FastPass queue. It was about 15 minutes long! At this point people were getting their spots for the fireworks and we learned the New Year's fireworks show at Hollywood Studios would feature modern pop music and not Disney music and that didn't appeal to us. So we left the park, went back to our campsite, and sat in lawn chairs on the beach watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from across the lake with no sound. Then just walked back to our campsite and got a good night's sleep. We made all of the wrong choices, did all of the wrong things, and yet my favorite memory of vacationing with my family is singing and dancing along with the Christmas music in the Streets of America part of Hollywood Studios. It was the quality bonding time with my siblings and the kindness of the lady who handed us free FastPasses that made it good.

Who Are These People · July 4, 2024

The number of comments to the effect that Jen's "bad day" sounds like a normal day at Disney should wake people up. The park is absolutely gaming the crowd according to century-old gimmicks all the way from Barnum's circus to force as much non-event filler time in a day to reduce the support of activities. Including things Jen has mentioned before like the removal of bench seating to force you to visit a restaurant (and impulsively buy) in order to rest or tire out and leave early, wasting a portion of your "day" pass value. Disney is trying its best to ruin your day without you noticing.

W
Who Are These People · July 4, 2024

The most realistic way Jenny could deal with her real worst enemy (by means of a day at a Disney Park) would be to lead an investor circle to buy a majority share of Disney stock and invite Iger to the park only to inform him he's fired.

Your Thunder Mountain ride experience reminded me of when me and my friends got stuck on the Yeti Expedition ride in Orlando without even realizing we were in danger. It was my first time to Orlando (or any Disney park) so I was walking into every experience blind. I was mostly following my friends because they had been there before. Of course I knew about the Yeti ride, as it was insanely popular at the time and is a thrill ride. The ride starts with the coaster moving up an incline that is suspended in mid-air, where it pauses halfway up to allow riders to read a "WARNING: YETI" sign. Well when we got to that sign we were paused for.....a suspiciously long time. Like two minutes just sitting in mid air. I was starting to worry something was wrong when the car started moving, and I assumed that I just didn't know much about the ride as it was my first time. There was an opportunity we had later in the day to go back to the Yeti ride and ride it again, as we all really liked it despite the way it started. The second time we rode the pause was like five to ten seconds tops, and only then did I realize something must have gone wrong the first time I rode it 🫠

NGL, this video made me cry a little, cause as someone who literally hasn’t been to ANY theme park in >20 years (and Disneyland was the last one I went to, my freshman year of college) this “worst day ever” is literally what would probably happen to my family out of sheer ignorance 😖 The last time I was at Disneyland they only had paper fast passes and you were limited to, like, three a day. maneuvering the whole system now sounds like a full time JOB of planning things out and watching the clock and micromanaging each decision on the fly and oh wait, I’m a TEACHER, that sounds like my FULL time job, I don’t want to do all that on my dang vacation. So yeah, it breaks my heart that because of all the money-grubbing barriers to entry, despite being a California millennial who grew up going to the major theme parks regularly, my kids (ages 8 and 11) haven’t been ONCE.

I've never been to any sort of Disney park (since the UK doesn't have one, and despite going to Paris every year as a child my parents were very much not on board with going to Disneyland) but I feel the two theme park experiences I remember from childhood may explain why I haven't been back. 1, going to Thorpe Park near London as a child on a choir trip, being too scared to go on the big water slide, and deciding it was an excellent idea to idly look through the rest of my group's bags that they'd left with me. I didn't even want to steal anything, I was just curious. It turned out I was more visible from the top of said slide where they were than I thought. They were not impressed. I've been periodically remembering the episode and wanting to never speak to another person again for fear that they somehow know what I did ever since. 2, at Chessington (again, near London) with my 60-something year old aunt who somehow got forced on to the log flume with us. The ride photo from it consists of my aunt, my mother, and myself all looking utterly miserable and my much more carefree friend having the time of his life. So I am very sure I could entirely by my own doing manage to take Jenny's already intricately planned awful day and make it much, much more stupid and upsetting.

But I’m still disappointed because we used to go to SFoGeorgia when we were kids in the 80s (rode the monster mansion when it was brand new) and I was imagining it would be like that. PROBABLY NOT tho because I can’t imagine my brother and I figuring out the ticketing angles, and they are most likely much simpler than Disneyland. Even the cheap parks try to sell you fast passes of some kind. Yeah, the subtle digs at the enemy's tastes throughout were great (eg, the enemy is also a big fan of Atlantis, and Jenny doesn't think that movie is very good). I *cannot* believe the martin freeman from Black Panther action figure is a real product. I guess there are completionists out there?

Turns out the apartment I was in had several health hazards that I couldnt see. It was sick building syndrome. Since I moved almost a year ago I haven't had even a slight cold. The hits really just kept coming, I loved it. Truly a masterwork by someone who knows the pain points in the parks inside and out. Getting saddled with that gauntlet box when there were still 15 hypothetical hours left on the clock was our own foolishness, but so many other tiny compounding miseries and awkwardnesses were totally believable missteps by someone just trying to have a fun time. Imagine all the thousands of people that have lived some version of this! The mid-day nausea really hit home for me—I did this to myself the last time I went to Hollywood Studios. We got there at park opening, did Rock n’ Roller Coaster first (which I remembered being SO cool when I was a kid, the last time I went to the parks) and I was swiftly reminded that I was over 30 now and much easier prey for motion sickness. Spent 10 minutes after the ride convinced I was going to throw up if I moved too fast and that I had doomed our park day right out of the gate. I was able to rally and get back into the action after a brief sit-down, but eating chicken tenders at that moment might actually have killed me.

Having to start out your day in DCA and the first attraction is web slingers? Now that is my version of theme park hell. It doesn't matter what happens the rest of the day. So. Bravo. Cleo Oops · July 1, 2024

You are having such a bad time in the park, so you stop to speak to guest services to complain about things, but the staff member you speak to is Jenny and she is your worst enemy. She's still a professional about things, but you feel stupid when she points out that it was your choice to come to the park on the 4th of July. You stumble as you go to leave, and you know she saw it happen.

a
audredica · July 1, 2024

jenny's idea of planning a worst day for her worst enemy including several caveats where she equips them with diligent fast-passing, endless money to buy crappy merch (specifically from movies she doesn't like if i'm remembering the non-disney animated movies video right), and conservative time estimates, and still also refusing to stoop to 'bringing their family into it', but including a callback to smacking a small child is so on brand. she's above bringing your mother into her hypothetical but random children are canon fodder. and it's very important to remember that your pants are dank in california july weather.

a
audredica · July 1, 2024

the fact that she's always so respectful to every hypothetical child. regularly mentioning (to my notice) how she puts active effort into never inconveniencing children or families at parks or in fandoms and lightly chastises anyone who prioritizes themselves in spaces designed to be accommodating to kids. but completely breaking that seal because her enemy needs to commit a faux pas that realistically almost no one would actually be very mad at if it was an obvious accident.

What's the opposite of a jump-scare? Jump-squee? Jump-delight? That was my reaction to the Daisy helmet. This terrible Disney day made me appreciate that I've been fortunate with fast passes and food orders my last three visits, but maybe the system got worse in the one year since I was in Disneyworld and two years since Disneyland. Also mid-May is better than July. I also recall seeing the Infinity Gauntlets in Orlando, and thinking "Huh, neat," and "I will never buy this" in rapid succession. Things Disney Paris has that don't have equivalent or better versions in LA or Orlando: 1) they have a pretty fun Avengers ride although you do end up wondering why Iron Man speaks French but Captain Marvel doesn't; 2) Phantom Manor is a neat, slightly spookier version of Haunted Mansion, the best ride; 3) the Ratatouille restaurant was really good and neatly themed (maybe they have one in Epcot? I don't recall). Also I don't think the little ghost girl on Tower of Terror in Orlando pops back up to say "It will be worse if you scream" because "They know you're here, you have to be quiet" but I liked that extra touch. My friend was less enthused.

You pick the wet lint from between your toes and browse Google Sheets on your phone, recording each purchase into your budget-tracking spreadsheet. "'I can't afford to go home!' you gasp. I love that Jenny's nightmare of a day is clearly informed by all the small details that only someone who has been a frequent theme park patron would be able to put together. Like, I was expecting someone going on all the wrong rides and things going wrong on those rides. But that's the easy way out. Jenny knows that having soaked jeans that cling to you while sitting in the sun on hot chairs that telegraph the heat through the dampness, while under the shade umbrellas that are just not at the right angle to actually provide shade, while dealing with the pain of a plastic bag stretching and cutting into your hand because you bought too heavy a souvenir too early...this is a true nightmare. could there have been a brief earthquake during that Big Thunder Mountain tunnel ride? idk if it has an abnormal-motion-triggered braking system to explain the slowdown, a little shaking could account for the rough ride and visual shimmering tho. then again it could just be haunted... great ramble, hope you're feeling better!

J
Jenny Nicholson · July 1, 2024

Earthquake is ruled out! any quake over a certain magnitude (like 3-point-something iirc; around the level where you start to feel it) requires an e-stop and evacuation of everything, then they walk the track to make sure everything's aligned before they can run it again (only trackless rides like the storybook boats are exempt). The couple times I worked guest relations during a quake we'd be like "oh no" because we new nearly every ride was going to be down for at least 40 minutes and we'd get an influx of complaints

Disneyland Paris was my first and so far only real theme park experience, and I was an adult the first time I went. Honestly I had an excellent time, probably didn’t make the most of it because my theme park knowledge was zip at the time but it was a beautiful park and my friend and I probably had the most fun we’ve ever had together (I totally agree about company making a huge difference). I genuinely don’t think I saw one kid who was having a bad day, even like the usual kid tantrums. I guess I’ll always have a soft spot for it because it was my first experience at a theme park, but it’s been cool learning about the other parks and now I’m looking forward to visiting more in future (especially Tokyo Disney, as it’s the closest and apparently the best?)

D

You'd be very good at DMing Jenny lol

S
Susan Held · July 1, 2024

I'm starting to think that I should take my child to Disney before she has a chance to learn anything about what they have at the parks, so I can just pretend that any rides with long lines don't exist or have a 72 inch height minimum.

B
Bingle · July 1, 2024

the only thing i would add is what happened to my family when we went to disneyland. for both trackless rides (star wars and runaway railroad), we made it all the way to the very front of the line- only for a technical error to occur, meaning we had to do the whole line all over again an hour later. they gave complimentary fast passes, but still a massive waste of time :/

D
Dylan Swain · July 1, 2024

Jenny, I think you missed the cherry on your enemy's poop sundae by not having a child vomit on your victim's pants early in the day. Wet pants and shoes can be uncomfortable, but that lingering scent would be off-putting to both your nemesis and anyone within proximity. Otherwise diabolical, terrible day all around.

I would have my worst enemy stand in the outdoors queue for Space Mountain in Parc Disneyland, looking at the beautiful Discoveryland building, convinced that they are about to go experience de la terre à la lune. First week of January so it is crowded and freezing cold. They will queue up at 4pm and wait for 2 hours outside. Once they get inside there's an inexplicable cheap Star Wars layer on top and all the props have been replaced with screens showing random ships. When they leave at 6pm, the queue is now 15 minutes and will just get shorter and shorter the rest of the evening. Parc Disneyland is my favorite Disney park, but it is one that really punishes sub optimal decisions (e.g. the table service restaurants are amazing and only slightly more expensive, but you can end up waiting one hour to order bad food in one of the quick service options)

The story about friends who spend their time at the park poorly and then complain about their bad experience is very relatable! It would be so much easier if we could just mindcontrol our friends into approaching things the right way so they'd enjoy the stuff we like as much as we do. Alas...

The perfect additional curse to early gift buying is that the bag is with you during the hottest parts of the day, so the ink used for the themed bag printing gets MELTY, and as it bumps up against your light pants, it leaves behind extremely dark blue stains all over them, which you will have to endure the rest of the day, wondering if it will ever come out and feeling embarrassed that it looks like you spilled blue all over yourself. Then you'll have to scrub it out forcefully in the hotel sink with the hotel hand soap and let them air dry, hoping they won't still be wet when it's suitcase re-packing time. They are still wet when it's re-packing time. If you've chosen to wear shorts, you first notice this problem when you think you've gotten a coconut sized bruise on your left thigh, and when you touch it, the bruise comes off on your fingers.

This is only sort of related to this video but people are SO rude during the firework shows/parades when it comes to space consideration. Like I actually wish I had some cast members coming through and enforcing some better etiquette. I got to go to Disneyland for 1 day a few years ago and I was so excited to see the main street electrical parade because I knew I probably wasn't coming back for many years. Most viewing space was full. I saw a woman with a HUGE blanket spread out on the ground for her to sit in the middle of with her baby. Pretty much the only space left. I asked her if I could move the corner of the blanket so I could stand there and she just ignored me, wouldn't even make eye contact. I went ahead and moved it anyway, because she was taking up at least 10-15 peoples worth of space, probably more considering how people pack in, so what's a few inches for me to stand in. You would have thought I personally kicked her baby by moving her blanket. Mind you, I'm still several feet away from her. She was so nasty about it that I decided to sit down and take up more space. Then a new family showed up and asked me if the space by me (blanket space) was open and I said yes, so they all came and stood on her blanket. Like idk, I wish the parks had enough space that we all got to spread out on a big blanket but we can't. I feel like a cast member probably did say something to her and she just put her blanket down again after they left. It was all very petty.

We don't have Starbucks where I live, so every time I go abroad and get one I get excited because it's so exotic and fascinating to me. Like you always hear about these pumpkin lattes and caramel frappes and all the names and these fancy orders and terminology so each time, getting in line and seeing the menu and all these fancy coffees feels like such an adventure. And each time, I am newly underwhelmed and deeply dissapointed how it tastes like absolutely nothing. Like it either tastes worse than coffee I can make at home or it just tastes like sugar. So basically, the second Jenny said 'you get in a 20 minute line for Starbucks' is when it began to venture into carsland-creepypasta-level horror for me. (Also, that 20 minute walk with a stretched out shopping bag, box, and silly hat tucked beneath your arm sounds so much like things I have actually done, except instead of shopping bags/boxes it's just walking with a mildly heavy backpack or shopping bag up a hill) (lots of hills where I live and I don't have a car) (I consider these experiences roughly equivalent)

The part toward the end where you spoke about company affecting a Disneyland trip hit too close to home, we went to Disneyland Paris in 2019 (went to the Paris park because we are from the UK and don't have a lot of money) and because my mum is really prone to fowl moods and getting irrationally aggrieved by things she spent the whole trip complaining and really soured the mood for my younger brother and I. Her experience of the park wasn't affected as there is no depth to her bad moods, so she had a fine time despite complaining. We thought the park was great but we have no guarantee we'll be able to afford an experience like that again, I wasn't very theme park savvy at the time either, so we did get to do a lot but probably didn't make the most of our time in retrospect.
