watched the opening titles to see if they were filmed in san diego - they weren't, that's pacific ocean park in santa monica (a couple miles south of the current amusement park at santa monica pier), which shut down like 8 months after the movie came out; understandable opinion considering 1. the low sandstone cliffs, which are very much a feature of san diego beaches 2. the amusement park isn't visibly on a pier, which makes it look more like belmont park in san diego 3. belmont park has a very retro wooden roller coaster; pacific ocean park had a cable car ride, though, which belmont park has never, and also pacific ocean park was a filming site for various episodes of get smart and the fugitive! - anyway, you all were not lying about the editing, jesus CHRIST that's absolutely terrible
the other way you can tell it's not filmed in san diego is the bastards of los angeles never film anything here unless it's taking place on or around a military base

I've been saying to myself since they started Man From Uncle, "Isn't Thrush some kind of infection in British English?" And they finally seem to have made reference to that.
