This Video was LONG overdue....

You know, in the back of my mind, I knew that hyenas were in Feliforma. But subconscious programming kept confusing me into thinking they're a cousin of the canines. 🤦‍♂️ The anti-hyena propaganda really do be that strong, don't it? And, 4:04 my brain didn't go for "hyena" as the enemy/villain of the Heroic Lion. It went for Angry Elephant, or Rage-Tank Hippo. Or maybe a crocodile. So yeah, Casual, you've already changed my thinking well before this video.

I like this hyena/lion rivalry lore idea.

Well… Happy Birthday, dude!

Happy Birthday 🎂 nice picture 😉also yay 🐢

Happy belated birthday, and thanks for doing a great video on these awesome animals!

Happy belated birthday@

I would love to see the lore behind the Lion and hyena rivalry. Of course I like all your videos. I’ll have to check out the sea turtle charities while I’m at it. I’m going to Costa Rica next year. Maybe I can also SEA them in person. (See what I did there? Sorry I had to. 😅)

Ooh, a hyena vid! Fantastic! 0:25 That would be a perfect shot for this video if only that were a hyena in the foreground and not an African painted dog. It is amazing how easily the Picasso pooches* can pass as hyenas, especially when it’s just a mugshot. But those huge, almost Mickey Mouse-ish ears are a dead giveaway. *Feel free to use that nickname (if you haven’t already and I’ve just forgotten) the next time you talk about African painted dogs. 😉
