[Public] I’m Alive — A February Snow Update
Hello, this is Aimaitei Umami.
I’m alive!!!
So—I’m popping in during a break in the snow ☃
This year, the area where I live has been getting even more snow than usual, and honestly… it’s been pretty brutal. I’m still not fully recovered stamina-wise, you know?!
From late January up to today, I’ve been shoveling snow almost every day, and all my time and energy have been swallowed up by snow survival. My arms and lower back are absolutely wrecked.
And just when it finally started to calm down over the last few days… I’m hearing another cold wave might hit again this weekend. What is happening??
It also feels like I may need to do a second round of roof snow removal, so I’m preparing with safety as the top priority 🦾
My health tends to fluctuate when I’m under this kind of environmental stress, so right now the #1 rule is: don’t push it.
To be real, I am feeling the wobble. I was recovering pretty steadily before the heavy snow, but dealing with it has set me back a bit.
For now, my goal is simply to survive and get through it. Also… why has life been this hardcore from last year into this year??
With climate change, I know it’s not just snow—many places are dealing with tough conditions in different ways. Please take care of yourselves, seriously.
Health and safety come first.
One thing I’ve decided this winter is that I need to “set up my life for the future.”
I want to rethink my environment and how I live, and build a more stable foundation going forward.
So between snow shoveling sessions, I’ve been sorting out clutter, gathering things to get rid of, and shredding old documents.
When my health is unstable, having less stuff around me genuinely helps.
I do have a lot of attachment to my current home and land, so emotionally it’s complicated—but I’m going to look for a way forward that’s sustainable for who I am right now.
If the snow holds off, I’d love to post one more update while I still can (if I can…!).
And now: let’s survive this weekend through Monday!
I’ll share another update once things settle down.
Thank you always for watching over me…!
