September Bonus: Tucker Carlson's "The End of Men"
This month we watched Tucker Carlson's documentary "The End of Men" and WE HAVE THOUGHTS. We're tackling the REAL questions posed by this documentary: is this the series finale of men? Is there an entire generation of American children who simply don't know how to walk? And why is anyone talking about scrotal red light therapy??
As always, you can play the episode directly through Patreon or use our RSS feed to add it to your podcast app. Here are the instructions from Patreon.

was not prepared for his name to actually be egg nationalist
Raw egg nationalist is literally Roderick Spode from Jeeves and Wooster
"It's all terrible and horrible and that's why I had to get high" put that on a t-shirt
Just by coincidence while listening to this, I passed a guy with a nifty bicycle cart which his two small kids are riding in. It looks like a great way to get around without a car, and probably great exercise for the dad. Somehow, I suspect this isn't an example of "manhood" which Tucker would approve of
Ok so there's no studies to support their claims, so they rely on their own experience. BUT THEN. When people in minority groups who are ACTUALLY lacking in research have to muddle their way through healthcare mostly relying on crowd sourcing and their own experiences, then they're hysterical or making things up or should really stick to what the data supports. Make it make sense (you can't because they don't)
oh man, certified soy globalist would be a great bio if anyone would get the reference
To use an Aubrey word, it is WILD listening to this on January 27, 2025
It is even more WILD to listen to it on February 2nd, 2026. I just had to pause it and take a deep breath after Michael joked about all of those men being likely to murder him in the street if they knew he was gay.
Just jumping on here to point out that not all “natural” birth control is bs. NFP is *not* the rhythm method and works for lots of people who, for whatever reason, do not want to take hormonal birth control. Lots of overlap between people who promote nfp and weird wellness bs probably, but if you are diligent with nfp, its pearl index is comparable to hormonal birth control. There are many valid reasons for why people do not want to take hormonal birth control, and I think throwing nfp in with unreliable methods like the rhythm method does them an injustice.
We used nfp because birth control pills made me have yeast infections almost constantly, I used to joke and say that's why it worked because we just never had sex. All condoms also made me raw, even non latex ones, I'm guessing it was the spermicide?? We used nfp until we were done wanting kids and then hubby got a vasectomy! And I recently had to have a hysterectomy so no more babies here lol
I love this episode, except for the brief mention of the "slow frog boiling" metaphor which is perhaps my least favorite podcasting trope
mike was like "omg a chance to mention elden ring"
I'm a trans dude on t and I was briefly at t levels that were higher than a cis man's before adjusting my dose. I did not suddenly become a stertypical manly man because of this. Also I have a memory of being forced to watch some documentary about how men will stop existing because of a really specific chemical found in plastic. Not sure if it's connected to this movie but it also claims men have lower t, sperm and fertility.
I don’t get how these men in these documentaries can simultaneously claim that they are slaves to their hormones (testosterone) and also they are the more rational ones…
"there aren't many peer reviewed studies on the things bros are interested in, so we rely on our own experiences" lmao so bro science is, by definition, anecdotal evidence and not science at all
Anyone else notice how similar Morgan Spurlock (ssm) and Tucker sound? Eerie
I’m so late to this episode, but holy shit. My father-in-law has been spouting this bs for so long. He is currently in the hospital dying from organ failure because of all of the illegal steroids he’s been taking to offset “low-T”. It’s been a long time building to this point, but it’s so chilling to hear this and see what he’s done to himself.
“Men use to eat up to 36 raw eggs a day” source Gaston song from beauty and the beast
I legit just cackled. 🤣
Ate tofu last week... still somehow a man. Whew..
You know who's trying to keep us from breastfeeding? Conservatives who think feeding your baby is somehow sexual and don't want you to feed them anywhere but behind closed doors in your home.
Also conservatives who want you to get back to work before your placenta is even out! There actually are a TON of societal barriers to breastfeeding, but every single one of them comes down to capitalism, not wokeness or whatever.
Ive been following you guys or a year on here and have never commented so hi. I wanted to say the montage cuts that you were talking about and how it quickly just moves from one image to another really reminds me of how my younger sister (professional animator) described cocomelon to me. The idea is to put a bunch of loosely correlated things on screen to get you to mentally make connections that might not even be there but not linger on them long enough because if you were to you would find that there's no actual substance to be found. I'll now be thinking of this documentary as cocomelon for right wing jackoffs who have "RETVRN" in their twitter bio.
Are you sure it’s sperm per litre? Btw new here on Patreon so hii!
nothing personal to Queen Aubrey 💔 just been listening to micheal since YWA
i love u guys and michael your voice is the little man in my head when i’m reading
i want to make michaels yea yea yesteryear my ringtone lmfao he’s doing it in books too
Thanks guys. Keep doing what your doing :)
So if anyone masc-presenting follows good ol Tuck's advice their human rights won't be taken away? 🤔
“Stop working out”? How about stop assaulting people and restricting their fundamental rights??
I feel like the "men used to eat 36 raw eggs a day" thing was just this guy thinking Gaston from Beauty and the Beast was giving accurate historical information
I spit out my tea. XD
Hello all! Sliding into this comment section with an off-topic question, but given that it IS related to the topic of Maintenance Phase in general maybe fewer feathers will be ruffled. Does anyone have recommendations for articles / books on wellness and social conservatism synergy / overlap? I'm already aware that Aubrey and Mike did an episode on wellness–>QAnon and I have the book by Rothschild that informed the episode. If you don't have recommendations for writings, recommendations for where to look for them are also welcome. (I know there's a MP Reddit, X etc, but I'm not a registered user on those platforms and am generally unenthusiastic about joining them.)
The podcast Conspirituality! conspirituality.net
So I’m sure no one cares, but I also had to listen to the Tucker opening 3x but only because I’m a professional violinist. The music underscoring it is a VERY well-known virtuosic piece in our repertoire, and I couldn’t focus on the insanity for listening to the recording he chose. FWIW, Sarasate is spinning in his grave. Thanks so much, you guys! Can’t tell you how much I love the pod! 🧡
We need another episode on the soundtrack of his documentary!!!
I feel like showing Jon Stewart as the representation for “people in Washington” is actually really telling. In Tucker’s world it’s all about the outrage machine and not about the politics.
I am here for the Gaston jokes. Like.... they all hate disney but are actively living out the beauty and the beast...
Hearing the phrase “it’s really all over the place” in relation to sperm had me spitting my coffee across the desk.
The egg guys are channeling their inner Gaston.
Wait, are all the men at my gym alt right?
If they’re really into CrossFit, yes. If they’re doing actual cardio they might be ok.
Hard relate to the the last thing you said about society letting the alt right speak more, it's scary. Jordan Peterson is hosting a talk in an Arena in my city next week. I can't believe that the venue where I grew up seeing some of my favourite bands is fully letting a transphobic, misogynistic fascist man who hates poor people speak to potentially 10000 people. I'm hoping that people in Belfast have more sense than to go see him and that the turnout will be shit
Just listened to this one and "Soy Boys". I get a sick delight out of listening to a bunch of right-wing crybabies lose it over masculinity. Worrying about projecting a manly image instead of just being yourself is weapons-grade chickenshit.
I know that getting salmonella from raw eggs is really unlikely, but I feel like if you eat 36 raw eggs a day you're going to hit that pretty soon.
Salmonella is really not about whether eggs are cooked or not, in the US it's because chickens reared for eggs are not routinely vaccinated against salmonella.
Btw. If you’re looking for the origin point of a lot of this Nazi garbage and you want to be unhappy, give this a read. https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/df15a22a-5255-491c-8b31-55c8898c9d84
Can we get John Stewart to get Tucker? Carlson fired again. Jfc. I can’t stand that little nazi.
i would love an episode sometime on "healing your gut" and gut wellness and all of that world. I know its nonsense but also am easily lured by ideas like if i just had the right probiotics and fiber and food combo, my digestion would be so much better...
You just need to drink more bone broth!!
This documentary was literally funded by Big Egg. I'm not EGGagerating. 🤣
"Big Egg" 😂😂😂
I appreciate y'all dunking on this farce of a documentary, until the very end where you got me with the clear reminder the Overton Window has shifted so much since 2013.
and here's the definition of a pandemic: "an outbreak of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area (such as multiple countries or continents) and typically affects a significant proportion of the population" before you say it, COVID is not endemic. here's the definition of endemic: "a disease that persists at a consistent level within a region with fairly predictable rates of infection and spread, making it easier to prevent future outbreaks." this is not true of COVID for a multitude of reasons. it is not seasonal or predictable, it is not specific to a particular region, and we have chosen to stop attempting to prevent future outbreaks (vax does not stop or even significantly reduce transmission, we nearly back to 2021 numbers right now lol). the end of the COVID emergency in the US did not change the viral reality, it just plunged millions of children back into poverty, homelessness, and hunger to please the billionaire class. good job swallowing that.
Not everyone is in the US.
“Used to eat up to 36 eggs per day” ok Gaston
Also, Mike saying "plinth"! I want this as my ringtone.
Bro Science made me spit out the sip of water I just took, and then about 5 minutes later when I thought I was okay I heard "Bro Science" again and AGAIN spit out a mouthful of water. I can't cope with how stupid it is.

This "totem to the scrotum" of a "documentary" 👀 is the best docu-comedy 🤣 I've seen because it doesn't even know it's a mock-u-MEN-tary 🤭
I switched to this episode because the horror movie podcast i was listening to (gerald's game, too scary didn't watch) was starting to freak me out, but this ended up being scarier
As always y’all have incredible timing! After a two week vacation of listening to insane diet talk, this was such a breath of fresh air! Also, please for the love of god do an episode on seed oils. I’ve heard so much fear and diet talk of it lately. Also requesting an episode on hormone disrupters and petroleum products if possible. Y’all are amazing! Feel better soon Mike!
Yes please to a seed oils episode! Also would love an episode on 'Dr' Berg please.
Hearing Mike say “it doesn’t fucking work” re: cycle tracking as birth control was pretty annoying seeing as he excuses himself from every other conversation on “the female downstairs” in other episodes. Why is he speaking on something he refuses to learn about in other contexts? Would love to hear this claim backed up by research 🙃
... ... it has a comparatively high failure rate as a contraception
“There are fat people and gay people and Jewish people trying to put you in a pod with tofu!!! FUCK!!!!” Lmao we love you Aubrey
Would you like to hear my theory about the use of intelligence in basic stats education and the rise of modern eugenicism?
All the crazy nationalist feeling music & imagery really made me think of Triumph Of The Will. For those not familiar, it’s a Nazi propaganda film made in 1935. Great episode as always folks… you always nail it!
Top three people I would love to get high with tbh
Wait is the third person … Tucker Carlson?
Okay, why did they not just find one of the multiple studies that are like 'on average men and women identify different levels of musculature as 'attractive' instead of their weird parody website?
I do sometimes think some of the staff are trolling him subtly
I love these 2 so much! Aubrey's laugh gives me life.
Totum to the Scrotum is now my new Tindr handle. Thank you, Michael 🫡
Cool Hand Luke eats boiled eggs - not raw ones
Now I want to watch but I think it will poison my algorithms for months
The scoring of the music is so hilarious too. It’s all stuff they could use for free and it’s like, standard classical repertoire that had nothing at all to do with what’s happening in the film.
I don't think all homophobes are secretly gay but they definitely come across as closeted, self hating gays. Nobody talks more about gay sex than a homophobe. Openly gay men aren't weeping about the low sperm count of dudes splooge
Michael! Now you HAVE to give us the JonBenet Ramsey episode of You're Wrong About!
This ep dropped right before dog walk in the dark time at 545am and I was laughing listening!! The music with the clips just killed me. Thank you for doing this for us. I love your work!
Have you heard about the goop restaurant
Mike returns to You’re Wrong About for the JonBenet Ramsey episode when.
and for more OJ. it's like I've been trapped in 1994 this whole time
😂😂😂 the egg part reminds me of Gaston in Beauty and the Beast singing about how many eyes he eats a day 😂😂😂
fucking dying at Mike explaining Malenia, Goddess of Rot to innocent and unwitting Maintenance Phase listeners
Omg this episode was perfect. Also went to that onlyfeminist site and there’s an “article” about animal crossing being like nazi germany 😂
Just the title makes me feel a little bit ill.
"And that's why I had to get high" a new segment title perhaps?!?! 🤣🤣🤣
Perfect timing on this episode! I was about to download it to listen to on my solo road trip.
Glad I'm not the only listener who immediately went "GASTON?!" Gotta say the obsession with testosterone and masculinity feels VERY weird to listen in on as a cis woman with PCOS. The way they're talking about it, it's almost like.... not only am I not part of their target audience, I'm not even sure they're aware people like me *exist as an audience* to target. Which is a very weird feeling because on the one hand I'd love to see someone point this out and correct them, on the other hand I'm happy to have Tucker Carlson and co be completely oblivious to the existence of people like me because that way we won't get turned into a whole culture war Thing. Also a minor quibble that not all non-hormonal or non-barrier methods of avoiding pregnancy are equivalent to "the rhythm method", but it's pretty common for people to conflate them all. (This lady might genuinely have just meant the rhythm method though, I don't necessarily get the vibe that she's rigorously charting observations of cervical mucus, basal body temperature, or measuring hormonal fluctuations in urine.)
Well also the copper/non-hormonal IUD is both non-hormonal and non-barrier birth control but is also not even related to something like NFP.
All I'm getting that by being a trans man who takes testosterone every morning, I am therefore more manly than half the cis male population 💁🏻
Solidarity Brother
FINALLY
I'm always thirsty for more content from y'all, but idk if I have the strength to listen to this one. I don't want to hear that man's slimey little voice.
What is with the Fantasia soundtrack in the background of these clips?! 🤣
Most of it is from Wagner's Ring Cycle. That might actually qualify as a Nazi dogwhistle.
Shower thought: how does human diet culture influence the way we talk about pets and pet health?
Oh shit, I actually have a little bit of info on this! You know the grain-free dog food trend? Started because of the low carb diet trend! There's absolutely nothing indicating that grains are bad for dogs, and in fact, companies may have replaced the grains with foods that are harmful to dogs, because they're seeing issues in dogs fed grain free food. Get pet advice from a veterinarian, not from TikTok! (Unless it's an actual veterinarian on TikTok.)
the globalists - it alway means The Jews (on another note, there's a PFAS factory in my town and we're strongly discouraged from eating eggs from backyard chickens and vegetables we grow ourselves because of it)
the whole "we should be very worried about declining testosterone and sperm counts" drives me crazy because no one ever seems to question the underlying assumption that more testosterone and more sperm is always better and less is always bad. is it, though? maybe, but tell me why! same with the science of sleep guy saying that men who get less sleep have smaller balls. why are smaller balls bad for your health? thank you M&A. been loving the recent bonus episodes!
Why is Apple Podcasts telling me I have to pay to listen to this episode even though I have RSS link?
PLEASE do an episode on seed oils
Hang on a minute. I’ve got some facts here from Col Jack T Ripper “I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion, and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids."
I’m laughing so hard because I doubt the metaphor “men without chests” meant man boobs lol
I thought the voice over in the first clip was Patton Oswald for a minute and was, to say the least, surprised 😂
“He eats like, thirty-six eggs daily” THAT’S GASTON. HES TAKING NUTRITION ADVICE FROM GASTON.
I am 14 minutes into the episode and Aubrey has just mentioned footage of Joe Biden falling down the stairs and I had a huge flashback of when Barak Obama was photographed ON A BIKE RIDE wearing a bicycle helmet and the Tucker Carlson’s went nuts because it’s apparently very unmanly to protect your skull as the president of the United States. The best part, however was that there was a right-wing meme going around comparing Obama in a bicycle helmet to Putin, shirtless on a horse. And that meme has now aged extremely well. 😂
No surprise TC completely missed the point of CS Lewis’ quote about “men without chests.” It is part of an essay extolling the importance of integrating proper emotional teaching into education. He describes the head (reason), the chest (emotions/heart), and the belly (appetites) and says that education shouldn’t just focus on reason but also on encouraging proper emotions - like feeling humble when looking at the night sky or recognizing that a waterfall is sublime.
I know! I started laughing at that part. I had a professor in university who was really into that concept so I've read the book where Lewis laid it out. I'm pretty sure Carlson just saw the phrase and didn't actually read Lewis' explanation.
It's giving Gaston from Beauty and the Beast 😂
Agenda 21 mention gave me Glenn beck flashbacks
"When I was a boy, I ate 4 dozen eggs every morning to help me get large. Now I'm a man, I eat 5 dozen eggs, so I'm roughly the size of a baaaaaarge!"
It occurs to me that the lady in the first song is probably desperate to buy eggs before Gaston eats them all. Dude is probably the farmers' best customer.
it would be cool if the "debunk health misinfo" people didn't talk about the ongoing deadly and disabling pandemic in the past tense 💖
But it is officially no longer a pandemic. Covid is of course still a potentially deadly and disabling disease, no longer being a pandemic doesn't mean it's no longer serious. There are many potentially serious but fairly common illnesses that are not pandemics.
I agree that it’s probably best to take an edible before consuming this “documentary” because wow I can’t take any of it seriously! 😂
still hasn’t googled JohnBenet Ramsey because Sarah was going to do a YWA episode about it…. I love the friendship so much
That's how you know it's REAL
I love the serendipity of me cracking eggs fruit breakfast while the egg nationalist clip is played. 🤣 Don't ruin eggs for me dude
I am so sorry. That must have been brutal
for a second I pictured Chris Tucker instead of Tucker Carlson, and I was super confused. But then I understood and it made much more sense. 😁
Oh man I can’t believe you actually watched this horrorshow 💀💀 can’t wait to listen 😂
of course there's tons of wagner as the sound track...
Just bludgeoning our ears with the Ring Cycle
I'm bored and the power is out with no sign of return but I am thrilled to use my dwindling phone battery on this
I hope it returns soon - but enjoy the episode!
To quote the great Peter Shamshiri, “Oh hell yeah.”
Becoming patreon was the best decision ever😅
