Soulspire GUI Preview
Hi all! Work on Soulspire is going well - well enough that I'm ready to show you all some previews of the game GUI! These are all screenshots or actual renders in the game, so consider this the first public preview of the actual game. :)
Since Soulspire will have interactions and gameplay, there'll naturally need to be some sort of user interface to track stats and other game information. I've spent a fair bit of time on it, so I hope you like it! If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know!
The first two images show the in-game GUI (with real renders and unedited text). There are two sidebars that can be individually toggled to show game stats, as well as a quest log (bottom left) and codex (bottom right). There's also a notification system that will let you know when something occurs via a little pop-up in the top left!
The second two images show the quest log and codex. It took a fair bit of work, but they're all coded dynamically - I can add/remove entries to both and the entries will just appear, so that'll save me a ton of time in the long run. The quest log will show you which quests are active vs completed and the status of each quest requirement. For example, if you need to hit a certain stat threshold, you'll see your progress towards that goal within the quest log. Codex entries are a bit simpler, but great for people who like reading lore!
The last image is a preview from the game itself - this will be one of the navigation menus. Once it's fully set up, you'll be able to click on buttons that correspond to certain areas (the study, balcony, etc.) and navigate there to perform whatever actions there are to perform.
We're still on track for release by the end of the month (one day early for upper tiers, of course), so I'm sure I'll have a couple more previews before then. Thanks for reading, hope you all have a great evening!

Did you notice that Dawn is not sitting on a chair in the last image?
Yup! She's doing wall sits, which are a type of exercise. Not much of an exercise if she has a chair to help her. :)
