Patreon Updates

Hi all! We're going to have a multi-part update today since I want to post about the upcoming Patreon changes and the Soulspire dev update. The first post will be the Patreon update, the latter will be about the game. I know admin isn't the most fun stuff, but with a new game on the horizon, there is some admin work to be done.

Before reading further, I want to make sure everyone knows that your current subscription price will not be changing. Now, into the updates! As I've said before, I'm going to be editing Patreon roles, benefits, prices, etc. for Soulspire, and I will be doing this on January 1, 2026. That is, at the start of the upcoming year, I will be overhauling the entire Patreon page. I'm going to be changing basically everything to align with Soulspire, including but not limited to: tier names, tier images, tier benefits, pricing, banner image, and product listed. Why am I making pricing and benefit changes? Some of the benefits weren't really used (ie. beta access usage rate was basically 0%, alpha rate was nearly 0%), so there's no point offering a theoretical/unused benefit. In terms of pricing, it's simply because the $3 tier, after fees and taking into account the inflation that's happened over the last few years, is not financially sustainable anymore, especially since this is now my full-time job. Raising the $3 tier to $5 means I need to adjust everything else accordingly, so... Here we are! There's really no good or elegant way to talk about price increases, so hopefully honesty is the best policy and you'll all be able to understand. And, again, no increases for current subscribers!

As you can imagine, switching everything over to Soulspire means that PoP-related stuff will be archived but still available. I'll also stop sending out PoP Steam keys after January 2026 (meaning January will be the last month) because we'll be transitioning to a new game. I don't have any information about Soulspire Steam keys yet and likely won't for a while given the fun with Steam and adult games, but when I do have information, I will definitely share it. :)

I won't be revealing the new tier names yet because they're game-related, but here are the new tiers effective Jan 1, 2026.

Tier I (Currently $3)

  • Price will increase from $3 to $5

  • Benefits remain the same (game-only access + public special renders + polls)

Tier II (Currently $5)

  • Price will increase from $5 to $7.50

  • Can now vote on special renders

  • Other benefits remain the same (game access + all special renders + polls)

Tier III (Currently $10)

  • Price remains the same ($10)

  • Beta access changed to early access (one day early)

  • Can now vote on special renders

  • Double (2x) voting power on polls

  • Other benefits remain the same

Tier IV (Currently $20)

  • Price increase from $20 to $25

  • Alpha access changed to early access (one day early)

  • Triple (3x) voting power on polls

  • Exclusive voting on special renders removed (now available to Tiers II+)

  • Can request one custom render every 3 months (totaling four custom renders/year) subject to my approval (nothing illegal, etc.)

Tier V (Currently $30)

  • Price increase from $30 to $50

  • Limited to maximum of four people

  • Alpha access changed to early access (one day early)

  • Quintuple (5x) voting power on polls

  • Exclusive voting on special renders removed (now available to Tiers II+)

  • Can request one custom render per month subject to my approval (nothing illegal, etc.)

As a reminder, you will continue paying the same price for whatever tier you are subscribed at as of December 31, 2025. That means that if you are subscribed at Tier I ($3/mo) as of December 31, 2025, then you will continue to pay $3/mo for Tier I even after the price increase. However, changing your tier after the changes means that you'll be paying the new prices, since you'll be leaving a "grandfathered" plan. I know a lot of you have stayed subscribed even though PoP is done and Soulspire is still a WIP, so keeping your existing pricing the same is the least I can do to thank you all. :)

If you have any questions about this, feel free to message me or leave a comment below! The next post will be up shortly and will cover Soulspire development updates, so don't be surprised to another post from me shortly. :)
