Just a quick update across all platforms 🩵

If someone were to ask us how we feel right now, we honestly don't know if there are enough words to describe it. We feel like we have the biggest family in the world.

When the lightning struck, it was like someone had pulled the rug out from under our feet. In a matter of seconds, our entire world crumbled.

And then, something extraordinary happened.

You showed up for us.

From every message, every kind word, every prayer, every share, and every donation, we felt an incredible wave of love and support surrounding us. From all over the world you reached out, reminded us that we weren't alone, and gave us something we desperately needed in that moment: hope.

We are humbled beyond words by the generosity and kindness you have shown us. What you have given us is so much more than financial support. You have given us the strength to get up, rebuild her, and continue the journey we love sharing with you so much.

We will never forget the kindness you have shown us during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. Your generosity means so much more than helping us repair a boat. You gave us the strength to keep going, the courage to believe in tomorrow, and the hope that we can rebuild what we thought we had lost forever. You lifted us when we couldn't lift ourselves. For that, we will be forever grateful.

As we are writing this, we have reached more than 100% of our original goal. We want you to know that every additional fund will go towards unstepping the mast (crane fees, haul-in/out) replacing our rigging which has been deemed unsafe and possibly replacing our mast if the integrity has been compromised. Repairing our new sails that unfortunately suffered burns. And also toward our electronic May-Day, and rescue safety-gear that got damaged or is no longer trustworthy for an offshore passage. And possibly unstepping our keel, should the damage extend into this area. Replacing all halyards (lines that are run inside the mast), as it is no longer safe to use them due to possible temperature damages. And also towards other unexpected damages that we may find along the way.

We are also looking to improve our lightning protection system, since the original proved not to be effective.

When we set our original goal, all we hoped for was to get our boat floating again, make her hull safe, and somehow find a way forward. We knew we would have to figure out the rest one step at a time, changing our plans as we went— but because of you, we have a may have a chance to at least also replace our rigging and halyards.
