I absolutely love cover 1 and can't wait to read it. I am currently on day 1 of my period and my partner just had to help me off the floor and back to bed.

I feel like the uterus, tubes, etc should look more painful. Twisted, a little thrived, deformed, with the endo in dark big clusters scattered throughout. Not big on the ritual symbols, they dont really relate. Think more, death, decay, decom, despair. Pieces torn away or hanging. Atleast thats how I imagine what mine looked like. Just a twisted up, fused anatomical deformation that was all ripped away. Show the emotion and pain in it...

Cari Parker · March 1, 2026

Not a fan of the grimoire or demon motif (even though it felt like it some days!)

K
Kaitlynn Trotter · January 21, 2026

What if you put the title inside the uterus, like its crammed in there and the uterus is about to explode?

S
Shafiah Alvarez · January 16, 2026

Maybe add knives or needles sticking out while the uterus is twisted and being wrung out like a wet cloth, the images are both interesting but they lack a description of how painful it is

T
Tye Anderson · March 1, 2026

I second this👆🏼

Shafiah Alvarez · January 16, 2026

Please cover the covid vaccine affects on endometriosis. I believe it has an astronomical effect in rapid progression of endometriosis. I had endometriosis and after getting the covid vaccine it spread and became unbearable. I lost an ovary to a chocolate cyst that tripled in a matter of months, after having my ovary removed I ended up having to have a hysterectomy as there was no controlling excessive bleeding and pain that I was in. My doctor cannot explain what was causing this but after the hysterectomy the examination of my uterus showed very strange rope-like tissue in the endometrium( similar to what has been removed from people after the covid vaccine. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this?

Sophie Ann · January 6, 2026

I have endometriosis and I feel 2 is fitting and visually understood to those who don't have it and want to learn no 1 I would walk past as a goth demon book but love the colour and set up book 2 x

M
Miranda Martin · December 19, 2025

I'm especially fond of the Vegvisir, Norse runic compass, in #2. I think we all need to find our way through the "storms" of endo.

B
Belinda Suitie · December 3, 2025

If I saw option 1 on the shelf, I'd think it was a book about mysticism and not an important health topic. Option 2 features the uterus and ovaries, which provides more visual context about the book's topics.

If endo is possible in males, and then must be also be possible in females without a uterus, why make the uterus the central image on the cover if you want to educate those without one? I say this as a female who after six Endo laps hasd a radical hyst to help with the problem. But now I’m learning that might not have been the actual solution, and caused other issues.

T
Teri Buvala · October 31, 2025

Add the artwork of the uterus in option one into the uterus of option two. Voila! The best of both options.

N
Natalie Hernisey McIntyre · October 23, 2025

Neither one is screaming endo at me, as I see this just hours before going to my endo dr. The second one would look better with barbed wire kinda binding it up, giving the imagery of the physical pain that endo causes.

R
Ruth Wilkinson · October 14, 2025

I like cover one but maybe add like blood around the edges of the uterus or the corners of the book

T
Tanya Lueck · October 10, 2025

Not a fan of either actually

K
Katie Petty · September 17, 2025

Love the first one best! The “uterus” art at the bottom is very eye-catching.

J
Jess · September 8, 2025

I personally like the coloring of the first one but the design of the second one. The first one has the black down the middle, maybe add some more black down the uterus on the second picture. I like either one tbh, and I think it’s great that you are educating us ☺️

A
Alicia Gallagher · September 6, 2025

As a goth, I like it. As a practicing witch... not so much. Also- I think the demon hunter bit is just unnecessary or helpful.

S
Sh · September 5, 2025

I get having a two color design. It saves money. However this book at first glance screams horror. I think your designer could be creative with the red and black and black and white and red and white to add in different shades to some area of the cover design to make it draw in the person walking by it in a store. Otherwise I like either choice.

V
V C-J · September 27, 2025

Endo screams horror.

This is amazing! As a postdoctoral researcher working in Public Health this is precisely the kind of education I love to see. Will this book also include information about adenomyosis? I suffer from both endometriosis and adenomyosis and it took me over 20 years to finally get diagnosed. I have had so many doctors gaslight and dismiss me over the years and have heard everything from ‘you’re just attention seeking’, ‘you’re just depressed’, ‘periods are supposed to hurt’, ‘you just have IBS’ to ‘you’re not actually in pain you’re just a drug seeker’. Even so called ‘specialists’ don’t seem to understand that this is a systemic disease with whole body symptoms and immune system effects.

L
Libby Oakden · September 3, 2025

The cover needs to reflect this is a whole body disease so two is out. One is alright ...but something that reflects the endocrine or immune system would be preferable. There must be some historical representation in old anatomy or physiology texts that relates?

A
Allison Gardiner-Leigh · September 3, 2025

Agreed! As someone who underwent a total hysterectomy/salpingectomy last year and had a recurrence of endometriomas and lesions in under a year, the involvement of other organizations systems (along with newer research that supports reclassification as a chronic neuroimmunological disorder) is important information. That being said, I picked #1 as it leans into the feminine energy surrounding Paganism/Wiccanism and goes more with your D&D vibe.

A
Ali · September 3, 2025

One small change suggestion-to switch the gender symbol with the eye/moon and title it "The Endometriosis Grimoire". Can't wait to read it!

A
Ali · September 3, 2025

1.)

A
AD · September 3, 2025

Love it, especially cover 1!

S
Shannon Dalton · September 3, 2025

Only because people are ignorant

K
Kylie · September 3, 2025

Both!! Paperback and hard cover

M
MagicBat · September 2, 2025

I'd like more white introduced to the drawn elements. I like the 1st cover better. Maybe the moon, flowers, eyeballl and even ovaries could be white like the lettering. That'd make me think about lunar cycles, and the blood drop as tear, life and death cycle, etc.

B
Babs · September 2, 2025

Maybe something not sooo this? Can you zoom back out and try a variety of choices?

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

Nope. That part has already been decided. It's going to have a bit of a Dungeons and Dragons feel to it. But also all the science and medical info anyone could stomach realistically.

M
Maggie · September 2, 2025

"Grimoire" is a term somewhat more specific even than "Bible" -- this cover is likely to encourage Occultists, Witches, and Pagans to buy it, not expecting anything about endometriosis or anything medical at all.

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

I had to have a fun slant for this one. Everything out there is SOOOO boring. Think Dungeons and Dragons , meets medical science. I don't know if it will work, but it feels right.

A
Alicia S. · September 2, 2025

It's a little creepy for both and almost implies when the female parts are not working well, there is some ugly presence there.

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

With endo, that's a pretty accurate description. It's definitely an ugly presence.

A
Anna · September 2, 2025

1 is nice, but I guess no one will understand what it was about

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

Totally get that. By the time we are done building buzz (hopefully) EVERYONE will know what this is about. :)

D
Dama Giordano · September 2, 2025

I like both but #2 seems more descriptive of what I anticipate the text to review.

I
Isalo · September 2, 2025

The witchy theme is not necessary in my opinion

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

Weird is the only way I know how to do things.

D
Denisa Nistor · September 2, 2025

I get the vibe we're going for, but it looks kinda shabby with all these the random symbols slapped onto it - esp. the feminine gender symbol since endo doesn't care which gender you identify as and has recently been found in cis men as well, and the pentacle.. coz endo is evil? and the reproductive depiction on #1 is just a bit cheesy imho - I think you should be able to find a more interesting and anatomically correct one, closer to #2... Otherwise can't wait to read this! Where will it be available?

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

Thank you for the feedback! This is a working cover. I started shopping it around to publishers. But this topic is not generally "money making" material, so foregoing a miracle it will likely be self published. And that's okay with me.

E
Effie Carson · September 2, 2025

The cover needs to mention “An Endometriosis Guidebook”

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

Not to worry. By the time we're done, everyone will know exactly what's inside. Thank you for the feedback!

C
Carole Hunter · September 2, 2025

1 is too creepy

B
Brittany Johnson · September 2, 2025

I love #1 maybe change the woman symbol to the trans one since it includes all ⚧️

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

I liked this idea so much. It's already done.

S
Sabina · September 2, 2025

Even though I’m into the witchy stuff, I actually prefer #2 - I unfortunately think the first would alienate some people who could need it… I do appreciate the symbolism in the first one, and for the danish market I would go for that - but if it’s for the American market, I’d absolutely go with #2

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

Thank you for the feedback! This is a working cover. But I needed something to unify the feel that will be found inside. I'm going for Dungeons and Dragon meets Medical Science. A risky mix, but hopefully worth it.

C
Claire · September 2, 2025

First thank you for investing your time and energy into this hushed-up/poorly handled condition. As for the artwork personally either would work, but the red/black, demonic/satanic wording and undertones might put off a number of people who would then miss your excellent content inside - would be a shame to miss reaching the Christian demographic based on first impressions .. I wrote an essay sorry !

M
Michele Masiello-Tran · September 2, 2025

You just continue to be you :) maybe the triple moon symbol might satisfy the creeped out patrons…

D
Dove · September 2, 2025

It took me many years to have my horrendous periods appreciated by the medical profession. Even when told I had endometriosis, nothing was done for a few more years. Thank you for taking these things seriously, but not too seriously either 😁

N
N C · September 2, 2025

I hate the all seeing eye and the pentagram. Sorry, but it’s creepy

B
Beau · September 2, 2025

I like the stylization of cover #1 but agree, the eye is staring into my soul in uncomfy ways 😅

P
Patricia Sandell · September 2, 2025

It looks really cool!

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

I'm writing...a guide? A book? A guidebook! And it is all about Endometriosis. As you can tell from the cover, this isn't going to be the same dry rehash of the condition. It's going to be something you will WANT to read (hopefully). I am going to be scheduling livestreamed book writing sessions where you will be able to interact with me and have input on what goes into this forbidden text. PS I solemnly swear I will not negelct the Secret Classroom during all this. Thank you for being here and for sticking with me as we, um, turn the page on something amazing. :)

K
Kaichu · September 2, 2025

I prefer Option 1, but I don't like the eye. That's weird.

R
Rosi Hull · September 2, 2025

I am SO in love with this!!! I can't wait to get one. Been suffering for decades.

J
Josh Cottle · September 2, 2025

I'm so sorry. Is their a piece of advice you would give to people earlier on in their journey? Any hard won insites or cheat codes?
