I have some questions about PCOS. I have cysts, abnormal hair, and unexplained weight fluctuations. My blood tests show no insulin resistance. I am not sure what to do.

Thank you for this <3 I'm pushing 40, have seen a doctor for years for thyroid dysfunction, and regularly go to my gynecologist for my check ups. I was once in passing told I "probably have pcos" but nobody since then has really given me any guidance on how to care for myself and this condition. Thank you for bridging the knowledge gap and empower myself and others to have agency over their health.

Can you do some content on the other symptoms of PCOS? I went undiagnosed for 10 years because I didn’t have cysts on my ovaries or abnormal hair growth. But had almost every other symptom. It’s a poorly named condition, named after one of 12+ symptoms.

Thank you for your post! It was very informative. There's still so many people who suffer from PCOS but are not able to understand what is going on with them. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 15 and since then I've been reading a lot about it. Almost every article mentions the importance of weight loss... However in my case I have lean pcos and that makes it even more difficult to find what works for me.

Thank you for providing this information. I'm 71 have been seeing doctors for my "condition" since I was 9 years old. I was officially diagnosed at 18. It has been and still is a nightmare to get reliable information about PCOS. And to get proper treatment for it has been futile. I went into menopause in 07. I'm still fighting to get reliable information and treatment for my symptoms. When I try to speak with doctors about my concerns, I'm either blown off or the "treatments" don't work. Now maybe with this guide maybe my doctor and I can have a better conversation.

At my first gyno visit as a teen the doctor look at me and said "well, all looks good but you'll never be able to have children" and walked out. It wasn't until I was in my 30s that a doc finally diagnosed me with PCOS. After treatment, I now have 2 beautiful kids but it's still not something my docs really focus on at all now that I have my kids. Thank you for the info and for spotlighting the condition.

Thank you so much for this! Been wondering how to manage all, with add ons of diabetes and being trans 😅 I know there must be so little research, but any advice? Especially for trans individuals who don't mind the hirnutism or lack of period...

I was diagnosed with PCOS 27 years ago, when I was 12. So many doctors and health care professionals had no idea what it meant back then. Really it's only been in the last 10 years that people seem to be understanding and talking about it. I'm not quite 40 and have had to have both ovaries removed due to outrageously big cysts, so now I'm in premature menopause. I was finally starting to understand what was going on in my body, and now I have new stuff to learn. Thank you for putting out content like this. It needs to be talked about, understood, and accepted.

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 15, this is the most information in ten years I have found on this condition. Thank you so much!

Absolutely. So glad it filled in some gaps. I'm working on a more formal guidebook for this condition which will be available to the classroom when it's done.

Does PCOS management change during perimenopause or menopause with respect to weight gain and such?

I just want to say thank you, I came across your video that talked about this on instagram. I had never signed up for patreon until now. I may not be able to contribute money for now, but having this has helped me understand this illness as I was recently given the diagnosis. With less than helpful doctors, I want to say thank you again for what you're doing

You never have to worry about this! I'm glad it helped in understanding a VERY complex condition.
