Such a beautiful chapter. I apologize for ever doubting the Toren chapters. I loved every word and I can't wait for the next one. Toren really did "inherit" the best and worst from both Erin and pisces. He is already redeemed for me. I hope he comes back to the inn. I want him and healing slime to confront Erin and to become part of the inn family again. And I hope that pisces Cameo was more than just that and pisces realizes what's going on with toren and recognizes toren as his skeleton character and gives him the stellar ivory upgrade and whatever else Peril taught him. Can't wait for the next chapter. Idc what anyone says, v10 has been so fun

Feels off with his character
It was a solid chapter, but to be honest, I find it hard to care about anything that isn't Erin-related. As the volume progresses, it's starting to resemble Volume 8—interesting events happening on the sidelines, but everything feels bloated, while the main character (and really, the heart of what makes this story exceptional) remains absent. Without Erin, The Wandering Inn is still a good fantasy series—but not a great one. I get the feeling Pirate might be unsure what to do with her this volume, and it shows.
Agreed. Combat dosent feel interesting at all since the palace arc and its issues. I thought they would dial it back a bit after the palace of fate and its issues. Hopefully it’s still too early to tell.
omg I don’t know what needs to happen to make this happen, but I now think I know who should wield the dope Paladin sword the Horns picked up. I’m really hoping Toren makes it to Chandrar to reconnect with his pops. Loved the chapter!

Wow, the Toren parts in this were amazing. I'm so glad he's getting the attention he's been lacking for so long.
Okay. Issue of a lot of the details literally being repetition of previous chapters. Yes we know deadlands no magic, everything is new. I feel like some things can be done more consicely. Regarding toren…he has a billion relics on him and yet he still leveled? I feel like he should have gotten the lightning thing from the second fight with the dragon (without the relics). Torens personality shift is a bit odd because we haven’t seen him jn so long. Yes he’s partnered with the the slime for a while but that became a norm not really understood and now more things happening that don’t explain him going from kill everything to having more complex emotions. Brief mention to our Necromancer leveling in Chandra maybe causing it….so he’s not connected to Erin but I thought he wasn’t with Pieces aswell so we don’t know why. Maybe related to his past but he didn’t do the ritual so not explained. Not hinted.
The only reasonable justification from going from kill everything to having more complex emotions. Would be his time at Az home where he was bullied into submission and gained the [Carer] class. Whilst his Kill everything was based on their Undead nature and finds it kinda fun now and then. I would further say that the melding of their fragments of their soul merged between the [Archmage] and [Innkeeper] into Toren. And maybe for sentient Undead that can level may be influenced hard by Class and past life. They just need to be trained to avoid “kill everything” scenario. Which for like 80% of their life was away from combat for how weak he was. All Toren needs to do is learn and live to understand they were what 1, 1/2years old? Also the ritual was just to make him more whole. Probably to accelerate their maturity. But as we are seeing its been slowly mixing ever since the dungeon home and they just didn’t know. They were never thought and refused to learn or at least go back.
Can we not move on to not-Toren after this? You're killing me - good chaper, but now I'm worried Aba is gonna keep putting off the Baleros/Chandrar plotlines - aka the good stuff. I don't have enough on the ol' book stack to occupy myself while waiting. Please. Aba. I can only reread this volume so many times. I hope these filler chapters at least qualify as stress relief for Aba. Please. Take pity. Pick a protagonist or three. Or five. Not twenty. We don't need to see literally everything. I feel like I got a taste of a good story with Erin at the beginning of the month after so long waiting for it to continue and... now? Will i not get to continue it all summer? Cruel. I was so excited, invested, and now I'm just disappointed. It was just heating up. Makes me care about Toren all the less. Okay, I'm done whining now, I'll show myself out. For the record, I'm a massive fan. I love the series start to finish, and I've read it all at least 3 times. Some sections more like 5. Even before you put some effort into editing ;)
You'll need to wait just a bit longer, lol! There will be one more chapter to finish this mini-arc, then Paba's moving on.

I think we have to come to terms with the fact that Erin chapters are going to be extremely sparse this entire volume now lol. It's probably going to be one-two chapters every few months until she gets back to the inn.
I……didn’t realize I had an opinion on cake pops until you said you bought one at a store……not a bakery…….i hope the taste is better than I anticipate, for your tongue and stomaches sake. Also yeah thanks for the chappie! Definitely more important than cake pops. Probably.
