Mythic Magazine #68
Greetings Mythicists! I hope your July has been going well, and that your NPCs are all happy and fed!
The latest issue of Mythic Magazine is now available! This one turns the tables, literally, on Mythic's core mechanic and delves into group games with Mythic at the table.
Here's what's inside:
Fate Question Focus Table: Exchange Yes/No Fate Question answers for Context rich responses by using a Fate Question centered Focus table.
Co-GMing With Mythic: Pull up a chair and invite Mythic to Game Master a group game with you, bringing it's emergent play properties to your GM arsenal.
Happy adventuring :)

Tana, you have such a knack for taking ideas that I initially think are a bit too high-concept or abstract for my taste, and turning them into something I feel like I have to try ASAP! I really want to run something with the Fate Focus Table now! Another fantastic issue.
Thank you so much, I appreciate that :) If you do run it, I'd love to hear how it turns out! There's a version of this table in Mythic Roleplaying 2e, so feedback and ideas are very welcome.
Really enjoyed the article about the Fate Question Focus Table. But it made me want to compare it with the Detail Check Focus Table. The Fate table is more about replacing the Fate Chart, so much more about answer yes/no questions in a different way. But there was also a bit of a discussion about using it to answer complex questions, ones that would normally be used by a Discover Meaning roll. I found this interesting because we already have the Detail Check table to provide an additional context to those sorts of questions. Where do you think the difference vs overlaps are here?
That was something I wanted to bring up in the article, but I ran out of time for. The two tables are doing basically the same work, so yes they are directly comparable. The Fate Chart Focus table intentionally includes things that are important to the Fate Chart, like accounting for Chaos and Random Events. But that's an astute observation you made, the two tables are definitely siblings, especially when used for Discovering Meaning.
Thanks for releasing this early, Tana. I know you usually do it in the final hours of the month......(After reading for some minutes) Another useful issue. The Fate Question Focus Table can help address GM vs Player knowledge issues for solo players. We should make this Adaptable like the Event Focus Table to tie-in existing thread/character list elements and prepared GM features.
Thank you Bill :) Yes, I got it in a day early this month! I'm trying to get it to come out earlier in the month, but so far I haven't been successful. But this month, I improved by 1 day, so I'll take it :)
