I answer a question about the personal side of solo roleplaying, and I break out The Society Crafter to build a fantasy adventure setting: the Kingdom of Delthah.

Loved this podcast. I'm a fan of the Society Crafter so I was looking forward to hearing you put something together on the fly. I was thinking about something. With games like Ironsworn you have an Oracle tables that include things like settlement trouble and settlement opportunity etc... I was thinking that you could have generic "focus" tables for different types of troubles, opportunities, perils/complications and then roll on the society-specific meaning tables.
Thank you Patrick :) I'm glad you liked it. I had a blast :) I love creating stuff like this on the fly. There's something wonderful about starting and having no idea what you'll end up with, then you discover it piece by piece. That's a good idea about the Focus tables. With Mythic RPG 2e I'm doing something like that, where many of the Meaning tables have their own Focus tables, but I'm also trying to include some general purpose Focus tables that can be applied to multiple Meaning tables. I'll keep what you said in mind!
Thank you very much for answering my many questions. Yes, I think I found the topic and the discussion about it fundamentally interesting, rather than specifically learning very personal things. I still found your answers very interesting. I think it's one of those nice advantages of this hobby that it can influence us in a safe and positive way. Sometimes even completely unconsciously. The pronunciation of my nickname wasn't correct, it's pronounced in German. But I have to admit that I like your pronunciation better. I gave myself the name as a child 27 years ago, or it was derived from what started back then. At the time, I hadn't thought about how well it could be pronounced internationally.
I'll have to ask my spouse how she would pronounce Gustel. She speaks German, so she can probably set me straight :)
We live in a (crafted) society. I'm glad to get a break from Deadworld Dome tbh, it's a fun adventure and fun story but I feel like it's just been non-stop for over a year and I'd like to explore more aspects of Mythic than just one long running story that just keeps going.
I agree. I think I kept it going for too long. Either way, it's time for something new!
