Progress Journal, November 2025
Greetings Mythicists! I hope your month is going well, and that your Player Characters know to dress warmly for the winter and don't act like me who wore sandals out today, even though it was raining, because I lack just enough common sense.
Here's what's going on!
Micro Mythic's Final Chapter
I'm down to the last and final chapter of Micro Mythic! I might have said that before, but then added another One-Page chapter to the book. If I did, we're back once again to the final chapter! I don't expect to add any more One-Pagers to it. At 10, it seems quite complete to me.
This last chapter should go fairly smoothly since it's the Mystery Crafter, so it's not breaking any new ground. After that, the book goes through several passes of editing, then it's done and ready to be released into the wild! The final book will be around 230 pages, which I know doesn't sound very "micro" but the vast majority of that is supporting material and examples. The actual game itself is 10 pages long and is all found in chapter 1.
I'm very happy with how this has turned out! I hope everyone else is too :)
Mythic Magazine 5 Year Happy Dance
With this next issue of Mythic Magazine, #60, we will have completed a full five years of the magazine. Five years! Wow.
To celebrate, I have a gift for you all. It's nothing huge, so don't get too excited, but I think it's very cool :) I'll hand it out in December, which I am treating as the magazine's birthday month. I'll probably also do some celebratory sales on some of the Compilations.
Mythic Magazine #60
Speaking of Mythic Magazine, the next issue is coming along well. This month's articles are "Fantasy World Crafter" and "High Point Adventures".
That first article is probably self-explanatory, but what is a "high point" adventure? This is a way I used to play at one point in my solo roleplaying journey when I was short on time and long on frustration. I just couldn't seem to complete long, epic adventures like I wanted to. So, I started playing adventures and campaigns with Scenes that only included the most interesting and pivotal parts of an adventure. It's kind of like watching a three hour movie but you skip ahead to only the crucial moments, so it becomes a 30 minute movie with someone whispering to you the plot that happened between those points.
Mythic Magazine Podcast
I had so much fun making the last episode with "Moonlight Radio" that I have come to a conclusion: I'm going to make a poll each month for the podcast content.
I realize I've been running the Deadworld Dome adventure for so long that the podcast may not be interesting for those who aren't into it. I started doing QAC segments to give the show more variety, but I think it needs more shaking up.
So, each month I'll do a small poll asking you all what you'd like the next podcast to be about. I'll try to keep the poll short and sweet. It'll probably contain options to continue previous segments, plus an option for a new and different segment. That way you can weigh in on the content you like best, or steer it toward something new, and we can let the majority rule.
That's about it for now! Thank you for being a Mythicist, and happy adventuring :)

Does this mean we are still on track for Micro Mythic before the end of the year?
We're getting close to done, but it probably won't be out by year's end. There's still a lot of editing to do, and I'm waiting on a ton of the artwork. I'm hoping it's out by February 2026.
Just curious: why is the high point article included in this month's magazine, when it came third in the content poll? The "(Tool Box) Three Event Crafter tables" had eight more votes than the high points.
Good question :) I take the two highest vote-getters that fall into separate categories. So Fantasy World won for Tool Box and even though Three Event Crafter got more votes, it's also Tool Box. That makes High Point the next runner up from another category. I do it that way to help keep the content in each issue varied, since each category addresses a slightly different aspect of solo roleplaying. There's lots of overlap of course, but Tool Box tends to be useful content and tables that can be immediately plugged into your games, and What If covers looking at things differently.
High point adventures looks like a great idea, can’t wait to see it.
