Mythic Update, July 2025

Greetings Mythicists! I hope you're doing well, and I hope your dice know that you appreciate them :)

Here's what's been going on lately around here:

Micro Mythic's Adventure Crafter

I've been working on Micro Mythic, and just finished the One-Page Adventure Crafter chapter. If you haven't heard of Micro Mythic yet, it's a solo toolkit and RPG based on the popular One-Page rulesets from Mythic Magazine. I've taken all of the published One-Pagers, made some changes to them, added a few more, and knitted them all together into a complete 9 page solo roleplaying game. If you've seen One-Page Adventure Crafter in the magazine, I've ended up making a few changes to the system. It's nothing drastic, but Mythic Role Playing 2e incorporates a version of the Adventure Crafter and I liked those changes. It makes sense to bring them over to Micro so these two versions of the AC closely match each other when the books come out. That should help tie everything together for players who decide to mix and mingle all the various books and systems.

Mythic Magazine Compilation #8, POD Edition

Mythic Magazine Compilation #8 is now available in print on demand from DriveThru and Amazon, hardcover and softcover. This is a thick one, at over 350 pages! It's got some of my favorite stuff in it, such as The Crypts Of Kozen Crest and the Star System Creator.

Something Just Isn't Right Around Here

Finally, I leave you with artwork from the always amazing Jorge Muñoz. This image accompanies a solo adventure module in issue #55, "Escape From The Somnus Citadel". Since the adventure has an odd, surreal tone to it, I felt this warrior's wary demeanor fit well.

Take care, and happy adventuring! :)
