Patreon Update - Year 2021
Happy New Year everyone!
As we move into the new year, let's take a look back at the past two months since I launched my Patreon, at what we have in store for the future, and at some of my thoughts on the process so far.
SCHEDULE UPDATES
Increased Output. I've taken a look at other Patreon Creators and I've determined that continued growth requires increased output. I'm just one person making everything, but starting in 2021, I'm going to try releasing content four times per week, described below:
Official Content. I'll release content on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on all channels (Patreon, Reddit, Instagram). Patrons will get early-access to this content basically whenever I finish the content, which is usually 2-3 days prior.
Wild Weekend. On each weekend (Saturday or Sunday), I'll release any kind of content. It will primarily be content for $5+ supporters, so it will be mostly compendiums or board game designs. There may be a small chance I have to miss an occasional weekend post.
Content Frequency. Aside from regular content, I'm looking to release maybe 1-2 compendiums or adventures per month and maybe 1 boardgame homebrew every 1-2 months, depending on the work involved.
CONTENT UPDATES
Will Content Quality Suffer? I don't think so. I may spend less time on each piece, but my increased production efficiency will make up for that.
More Drawn Art. I think I've developed an art workflow that will help me reach my posting goals. The more art I personally create, the easier it will be for me to market them (without going through the complicated copyright/permissions stuff). We'll see if it works out.
Compendiums. The first Santa Compendium was pretty good! It has more content than other Creators' typical "set" compendiums, so moving forward, I'll look into reducing portions of content and diversifying into other types (e.g. less subclasses, more monsters/items/spells).
Adventures. Although I've made plenty of adventures, I haven't released an official one yet. Overall, it shouldn't take too long if I borrow elements from existing compendiums. However, I haven't figured out how to get a map (without drawing my own). Most Creators usually get maps from other Creators they support, but I'm not at that stage just yet. I will most likely search for some completely free maps to use.
TIER UPDATES
Clarifications. There's no change to the content received each tier, but I'm overhauling the descriptions to offer more insight into what each tier entails. You'll get more things!
All Patron Tiers will get the early-access to content description, as I start schedule-posting my content earlier.
$10 Tier will now also have access to a zip file called the Archive containing all highest resolution pdfs, collected and updated at the end of each month. Having only board game content at this level seemed out of place with my D&D homebrew progression. Will come out by the end of next week. The high-res pdfs are still available on each post; I'm just collecting them for ease of access.
$20 Tier will be split into $20 and $35 (?), just because maps and board game content takes longer to make than the others, and eventually I'll put a cap on number of patrons at these levels.
Post Frequency will be clarified in each tier so everyone understands how much and how often they'll receive content.
High-Res/PDF are always available to patrons in each post, and tiers will be updated to state as such (Is this important to patrons? I'm not sure but other Creators do it too).
GOAL UPDATES
Revised 50 Patron Goal. Since I'm posting 3x a week now, I'll revise it another adventure setting. It's a bit far away right now, so it's subject to change.
Goal #1 Achieved. Will create a poll for this on othe 4th, so stay tuned for that!
PATRONS & FEEDBACK
Polls! I'm taking a crack at polls. I'll be using it to get feedback on what content you liked, wanted, or what I can do to improve. Then I'll move to polls for future content. Stay tuned.

Patreon Growth. I'm working on social media on Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit. Please share any content you like and follow me there! The more supporters I have, the more content I can produce.
UPCOMING CONTENT
Board Game Project. I previously said I'd have something for $10+ patrons, but the USPS holiday delay means I'll have to postpone the content release for 1-2 weeks (unclear). I apologize for the lack of 10+ content, but I hope the content quality will make up for this!
Aripockily's Quiver. A compendium in the works with arrows, bows, and crossbows. I've got some ideas knocking around and production-wise, this compendium would be the easiest to complete.
Rangers' Field Guide. I've got an idea for a compendium just for rangers, the class that gets the least love. Ranger subclasses have such interesting potential because they're location-based!
Book of Bad Spells. It's a book of bad spells? I'm not sure how well this will work. It's super simple and may not shine mechanically, but the idea is it can promote roleplay. Might not turn into anything.
The Cosmos. I love star-themed things and I have an idea for a setting set in space. This one will take the longest and might not even make it in 2021.
