15 pieces: 270 million windows. Your creativity does the rest
The modular window system I’m creating allows for more than 270 million real combinations. You choose each piece, define vertical dividers, control heights, and place as many horizontal bars as you want. In practice, this means that almost no building in the game will ever have the same window as yours.
How does it work?
In the image above, I created two sets of frames (Base, Side, and Top). These three pieces can be combined in 8 different ways. Then I expanded the side frames into two additional sizes, allowing you to build Small, Medium, and Large windows. That alone generates 24 structural variations.
Next come the vertical dividers. They can be used in up to 8 different arrangements, plus the option of using none at all. With that, the 24 structural windows turn into 192 possible variations.
And then we reach the point where things get really interesting:
the horizontal divider.
It can be placed in 12 different positions on small windows, 16 on medium, and 22 on large. Since you can use as many as you want — including none — the number of possible combinations skyrockets. When we combine everything, we reach a total of over 270 million possible windows using just these 15 initial pieces.
And I’m still expanding this set.
It’s fascinating how a simple concept can multiply player creativity like this. All it takes is giving them modular pieces they can combine freely to bring a unique window to life.
Did you ever imagine that so many different windows were possible?
Oh, I forgot to mention: this number applies only to 1x1 windows and doesn’t include other window sizes. So imagine if it did!

that is such a cool solution for creative spaces! museums in Sims 3 are notoriously boring, I think you are sets are exactly the right detail to shake them up!
Thank you!! I hope I can surprise you all even more next year :o
