Development Update 15
I never knew that weeks could be so short.
This one sentence pretty much sums up everything. Usually, it's the weekends that save me. That's when I can go all out and push forward the development of my games, but currently, I'm even busy on weekends. The next one is no exception.
Luckily, the Steam summer sale is coming up, and I want to finish this small update for in between before that.
I've written a new scene. I went over half of the memory screen. All that's left is to render out a couple of images, go over the other half and have what's new go through the usual process of testing/translating.
Sadly, even when I finish this update in the next two weeks (Episode 3.1), the update is still only one new scene and a couple of new lines in the memory screen. The next big thing will be Episode 3.5. I've written a rough outline. I've also written 3,500 thousand words that might or might not end up in the game.
I'm sorry, but the next major update will still take some time.
One thing to look forward to is the 20th of August... or, more precisely, one month after that date. This is when I finally get a lot of free time, of which I will probably spend much on developing A Foreign World.
Right around that time, I'll probably take a week to travel to who knows where and relax. This still leaves lots of time to write and render. I try not to promise things I can't keep, but I'm sure the speed of updates will surely increase for a while.
Yeah... Today there is no new render (even though I've already made some by now) because from Monday to Thursday, I live in a different place than the rest of the week. I keep it vague since I don't share much about my personal life, but I forgot that I might want to write a Dev Update, and now, I don't have these new renders at hand.
Maybe I'll do the next Dev Update in a week to offset this grave mistake.
Anyway, that's it from me. Keep your eyes open for future posts.
Until then, Enjoy!
