Art - Sneak Peek
I do realize that my last Patron Post was only two days ago, but I'm way too excited to delay this one.
Look at it. Would you believe me when I told you that the image was made only by using Daz and Gimp? I was literally in awe when I realized how great this looks. Now, this will be embarrassing in case I'm the only one that sees it that way, but I don't think I will be.
Credit where credit is due. The hills and lake have been created using UltraSceneryXT, which is awesome. But even though I'm running an RTX3060, this plugin makes it feel like I'm rendering on CPU. Generating an image takes at least 10x as long. I used spot rendering, but it was still a bother.
Another thing I did yesterday was to look at Blender and how to create fire with it. You can find the results here.
Blender is frightening. But eventually, you need to man up and face your fears. Why is Blender frightening? It's huge, and powerful, and has all these shortcuts that you need to memorize, and there are so many things you can do, and it's what the big kids are using, and it's not as intuitive as Daz...
But there are also many tutorials for it, so it's manageable. I think the fire animation that I was able to create is proof of that. Again, I refer back to this Tweet.
These are the two things I'm most proud of at the moment.
Keep your eyes open for future sneak peeks. I'm currently creating renders, so there might be more to come.
Until then, Enjoy!
